Doom Patrol: Donkey Patrol (2019)
Unique
I can positively say I have never watched something like this show. I was expecting a lot of things, but NOT what the villain turned out to be. I feel like it's on a very thin line between being utterly brilliant and completely crazy, but loving it so far!
Also, there were two moments in this episode that made me pause the TV and burst out laughing. Props for that.
What a show.
The Umbrella Academy: The Day That Wasn't (2019)
Amazing
The final twist is amazing, and the whole chapter too, but one thing I really loved was the dance!!!
Arrow: Unmasked (2018)
Wow
Arrow is back. It's back, it's great. Character-wise, I think that this was the best episode of the season. I am the biggest criticizer of olicity, but the drama this episode was top-notch. The decisions everyone made were understandable (the fact I have to compliment this says a lot about S6), the dialogue was sparky, there were lots of small plot twists...
I also want to talk about this villain. I liked this villain. He had a connection to Oliver, the actor was good, he was just a good arrow villain. For that, I already put him on a higher spot than someone like Cayden James.
And hell I even liked the Argus stuff, which I normally hate! (maybe the fact that an organization bigger than the CIA has only one room and 10 soldiers has something to do with it) The Dante painting story is intriguing...
Great episode. If Amell, the creative team at Arrow or anyone is reading this, great job. This is my Arrow. This is the show I love. Congrats.
Titans: Donna Troy (2018)
Donna Troy is perfection
I've never been one for ships but I have never bought a relationship so much as the one Donna and Dick has, I am in love with them and they were both amazing. The final twist was jaw-dropping.
Titans: Asylum (2018)
Perfect
How can every episode of this show from Episode 1 becomes my favorite episode. I thought nothing could top the two Robins dynamic and the Nolan-Snyder treatment they did with last episode, and then comes the Gar scene in this episode. That scene, just... That scene. This show is amazing.
Supergirl: Man of Steel (2018)
Amazing
Normally I don't like supergirl that much, a lot of times I only watch it because I watch the other CW shows and find its story the weakest.
This season, I saw early what they wanted to do with aliens and thought it was a great idea, much needed conflict like we haven't seen on this show.
However, last episode was complete political pandering and very weak.
This episode was not.
Sam Witwer was amazing, the story was believable, the conflict from other seasons suddenly felt a hundred times more real and you really felt for the characters. Agent liberty has become my favorite villain in supergirl (wasn't very difficult) in an hour, and may become one of the greats of the CW if they keep it that way.
This is the direction you gotta keep, Supergirl! This was great!
Supergirl: Midvale (2017)
Did not expect that
Supergirl is the show that I've honestly had more trouble with out of all the CW shows. Its lack of good villains, over-drama from characters, etc etc. So in the middle of season 2 I stopped watching it and only do with the ones that spark my attention. This was one of them. I decided to watch this expecting more drama and stupid plot, but it wasn't like that. In fact, I loved it. I guess it doesn't give much to the season's plot, but it went a long way to make me care more for both of them and it succeeded. Part of the job was of course done by the wonderful young actors, that can not only play the part really well but look just the same! I mean, that young kara in some shots WAS her! I was honestly taken aback by the uncanny resemblance, better than most movies. The character development was really good, I felt for Kenny and the police being the bad guy came as a nice surprise. Even tough of course it's full of high-school clichés I don't mind if it works well, and it did. Overall, I think the show supergirl is at its best in chapters like this: not villains with muahaha plans, forced political views, etc. It's when it focuses on her well done characters, specially the implications of a nice girl like Kara having these powers. This chapter made me care more and understand her turn on humanity and I can say it's the first episode of the season I loved.
Legends of Tomorrow: Doomworld (2017)
Legion of doom at its finest
Well, finally what I have been waiting for this whole season.
This episode of legends is fun, exciting, dramatic at points, and just awesome to see what the "legion of doom" would do with infinite power.
When I heard they were going to do that, I was skeptic. Legends can sometimes go way past our expectations of fun (moonshot) or completely disappointing and making no sense. But this one was, in my opinion, one of the best episodes they have had.
Best thing about the episode: the villains. You can see that they have real power and they put it to use, and everybody reflects their true self.
-Eobard, a scientist, becomes a Savior of mankind and does legitimately good things for the planet, one of the things that make him so great as a character.
-Malcolm reunites with his daughter, so heartwarming.Really loved how the business mastermind was the one who wanted to make things sure and kill the legends.
-Darhk, the most evil of them all, just kills all the vigilantes. Maybe they could have used more of their magic in the end.
-But the one that really shone was Captain Cold. Good old captain cold, "cold" as always, always with a plan, and ruthless as ever. This episode showed us how Mick really has evolved with the team by seeing how he was before, and he sees it too by looking at his partner. The best moment comes when Leonard kills Maya, something that CW should learn to do, as it adds so much excitement to shows. Probably she's gonna come back, but I would love it if she stays that way. Her arc in season 2 has been good but its come to an end.
Overall it was a great episode and I absolutely loved the twist with the Waverider in the end, such a brilliant idea! Can't wait for the finale.
