The Zone of Interest (2023)

A very boring movie:(

I have seen many holocaust movies. I am a middle easterner living in United States. I didn't know about holocaust til I was 28 years old when I moved to US. This movie is purely boring, it shows a family that can live next to evil. And that's every day life. In the current Palestine war, I met someone who went to Israel, and he was like everybody is having a normal life while Palestinians are getting killed. Everyone is after their own interest. So that's not a surprise. I don't think it was worth the oscar. There was nothing remarkable about it. I think it's a waste of time to watch this movie. I don't get all the praise!

The German Lesson (2019)

I think it's a good movie. I watched so many World War II, German movies. It's the German point of view of the war. Shows how Germans had it Bad as well. Towards the end it was confusing. I did not get the ending. Good story.... Also, how some people regardless of what they went through, like the father, there are avid Nazis. Those are horrifying. Especially what we see in today's world. I feel bad for the son, he was blamed before and after the war. Sad, but interesting story. Worth watching. It's a bit slow, but overall OK. Nice scenery. Good picture, I like that it was an English. I would recommend it.

Incendies (2010)

I'm from Iran. This movie is fantastic. I think the story line is in Lebanon. Acting is amazing. Too familiar story for a lot of refugees. War torn Middle East. Sad but powerful. Chilling but gripping. I love history, and a must watch for people who love history. How much a woman can endure. What does frantic religion can do to people. Now with Israel and Palestine was its more relatable Not for kids. I hope everyone travels to Middle East to grasp the suffering. The pain of loosing child, dad and rape as a war crime. Yet, the question is, will this ever end?... I have my doubts. Lets hope for more tolerance...

I am a huge fan, I loved every bit of it. I'm not sure why people are so harsh on her and put so many bad reviews. She had so many health issues, and made so much fun about it! I am a doctor and I really appreciated that. Talking about different issues. For people who didn't like it, get a life! I think it was phenomenal. Worth watching. I really do like her and I wish her all the best. I think she looks good too. I like all her work. Very funny. The fact that she can't have kids again, make any woman sad. But she made fun of it. For all you haters, too bad you didn't like it. I'm not sure what would you like? !!

The Swimmers (2022)

Powerful an excellent movie!

You're going to be on the edge of your seat for two hours. Great movie. I'm from Middle East/Iran and understand everything they went through. Sad story, loss of lives. A learning lesson for everyone. A must watch. Kudos to the two sisters. I am glad that in the real life all the charges for the other sister has been dropped. I feel bad for all these countries in war. They are treated so bad as a refugee in all the other countries. We hope for no wars. I hope everyone is able to swim their lanes and reach their purpose. Teach it to your children. Watch it as a family movie on a Friday night. Hopeful.

Terrible and bring movie

I can't say any good word about this movie. Utterly boring, couldn't understand what was the storyline. I don't know how what was nominated and won so many Oscars?!!Was it sci-fi? I had to make myself watch this to the end. I'm so glad I didn't have to pay for it. Was this worthy of an Oscar?!'Not To Me!! Was it even in the category of Shindler' list" to win so many Oscars?!' No! I'm sorry it had no storytelling. I had no idea what it was trying to say. I had to drag myself into two hours of watching this. Acting was OK. But what was it trying to say. To be kind to another and accept each other?! Not sure how can anyone sit through this.

It was great. The material was top notch. Right on point. So good. It's a must watch. Everyone should watch it and love it. Hard to talk about topics. Superb. I have never watched his stand up. This was the first time, and I loved it. So funny, I'm not sure why would somebody give a negative review. He waited one year to talk about that subject. Touched on very sensitive subject. Every single one of them is a reality. I agree with what he said. I'm glad he made a Netflix specialist. And it came right at a good time right before Oscars. Highly recommend. Watch it, not in front of the kids. I want less cussing.

The Empress (2022– )

Napoleon died in 1821!! Before empress...

It's an amusing miniseries, but I'm not sure about historic accuracy. Napoleon had died 30 years before the empress became anything. So I'm not sure how Napoleon has a role in this miniseries. I do think the actors are far more good-looking than the actual characters . But overall, it's entertaining, and has a touch of history. I didn't know anything about sis, so I read about it. Not even sure which czar was in power at the time, not sure if that's even accurate either. It's interesting to see how just 170 years ago, woman were to just bring heir and kids with no power, and how humiliating even Europen courts wear. We have come so far. Live history...

Luckiest Girl Alive (2022)

Great m0vie, good storyline, acting. I do not understand all the negative review. As a woman, I do think every woman will enjoy. 60% of the woman have been assaulted at some point in their life. We are lucky to live in America, where we can talk about it. It's hidden in many parts of the world, also from where I'm from. Must see. Cudos to Mila Kunis! It's based on a true story Could be. She survived 2 tragedies. Her best friend was awesome. I wish everyone would have had a best friend, who can talk to freely with no judgment. This is a good learning, lesson for parents to to be always on their children's back..

Babylon Berlin (2017–2025)

Good watch!

It's a good history learning, good era of Germany, and why Nazis took power. However, I'm very confused on several scenes, some characters die, and come back to life, keeps going back-and-forth with not much sense..... three seasons, not sure if there will be more seasons. If you are into history, like me, it's a good watch. I watched it in English... It's German made, I do think most people need to read about that time to make sense. I googled some of the information to find it accurate and more understandable.. the scenes are nice, and it's very well active. Maybe it's better to watch it in German, but I preferred English.

Well-made! Touches really nice on history. I didn't know much as an Iranian about that time. Bravo to the Director! Awesome acting. People who give low ratings should question themselves. Now with the Ukraine/ Russia invasion, you could relate to this series. A must watch!

Great and powerful miniseries. Well-made. Shows the side of German story doing world war two. I recommend it to everyone who is into history. I don't think it will have a second season. Worth. Watching. Educational!

I have a mix feeling about it. A lot of scenes seemed too amateur... like they survived hitting the ship! But the story is OK, entertains Could have been better made. One thing I didn't know is those nazis lived with no problem in Spain, as if nothing has happened! That is so strange!!!World War II, holocaust stories have been told many times and so many movies/series have been made about it. I wish there were other Hollywood made movies/series from other sides of the WWar II like the Asian side of the story or crimes of Stalin or other dictators during those times. Even the American wrong doings such as atomic bomb....- WW2 by far has been told and thought more than World War I....

We'll made , it's unfortunate that they couldn't find their parents at the end. Hats down to all these wonderful American families, for treating these kids like their own and were so open about it. One child policy was brutal but necessarily to save China. Look at them now, in just 40 years , the became one the most powerful counties...

A well-made documentary and a live story. Nazis crime can happen to any nations. It's a good story for us Americans, to learn a story if we do. Also the power of survival... Unfortunately history repeats itself...
