Pam & Tommy (2022)

Better than I thought it would be. A must to watch.

The evolution of this show, from episode 1 to 8, surprises me in ways I was not expecting.

It started with two stories :

• Pam and Tommy, a little bit boring, Pamela being a bit annoying.

I said Pamela, the character, not Lilly who is doing an amazing job as an actress who literally own the role.

• Seth character, his low life, his struggle and how he decided to take his chance, very interesting.

Then switch to a powerful message about private property, how the world see women, the dirty business of porn, revenge, stupidity and what people are able to do for money.

I started to cheer for Seth's character but then realized that everybody was wrong in this story.

Many unfortunate events led to what happened with one victim : Pamela.

I don't know if everything was actually the truth, but even if 50% is true, it was wrong in so many ways.

Amazing work from all the actors, directors, make up artist and all the musics where on point.

Close to perfect.

The Lost City (2022)

Boring

This movie had such a potential :a great adventure, casting 5 stars, beautiful location.. but they failed miserably.

No chemistry between the actors, I like all of them but for whatever reason they do not work together.

Jokes are not funny. At all.

Editing was pretty bad and this weird feeling of a movie made in front of a blue screen.

The movie could have been better with a different director.

Metal Lords (2022)

Came for the amazing set list, stay for the cameos... and that's it.

Feel like I already seen movies with the same story.

Characters are 'loosers' and it's difficult to feel for them.

Resident Evil (2022)

There is absolutely nothing good about this show.

I watched the first episode and then stop on the second episode after about 5 minutes.

Boring, boring, boring.

The choice of having two stories (one in 2022 and the other one in 2036) mix together is a pretty bad idea to start with.

The actors are terrible and only do stupid things, not their fault. The writers fault.

And talking about writing.. there is not much here either.

Add to this pile of non sense horrible CGI who were probably done on Window 95 and you end up with another fail from the big red N company.

Will Netflix learn from their mistakes ? I doubt it.

Disappointing as I was expecting little more.

As usual, I'll renew my subscription just for a month per year, when new Stranger Things material is on.

Interceptor (2022)

Couldn't finish it

The only reason I gave it a ONE, is because I can't give it a ZERO.

Acting, fight scene and dialogue must be a bad joke, or from someone who lost a bet.. not sure.

Had to turn it off after 20 minutes.

The Man from Toronto (2022)

Typical Netflix movie

• big name actors
• whatever story

• watch once and forget
• good action
• flat jokes
• cheap FX
• good Sunday afternoon movie.

The Rental (2020)

Slow pace

Keep your expectation very low and you will have a good time. Very slow pace.

Very good point on the fact that we rent places from people we don't know, make you think about it.

Renting thought Airbnb after watching this movie is like going for a swim in the ocean after watching Jaws.

Glad it was an 88 minutes movie.

Antlers (2021)

Could have been great

The story lay slowly, maybe a bit too slowly. It's dark and well written.

The actor who play the young kid is absolute amazing, what a great acting, especially compared to the two other main character.

I don't know if they messed up the casting or if the director direction where like that, but everybody is very slow and take pretty dumb decision, and this is why I give it a 5/10.

I believe with different actors it could have been a 8 or a 9.

The Guilty (2021)

What a performance by Gyllenhaal !

Disclaimer : I haven't seen the original (yet).

Like Ryan Reynolds in BURRIED, Jake Gyllenhaal show us how amazing he is as an actor (please go watch PRISONERS and NIGHTCRAWLER) in this extremely intense movie.

He only interact with other people over the phone and the movie happen in pretty much only one room.

The twist is very well done.

Difficult to say too much without giving away to much of the story.

If you like intense, dramatic movie you will be well serve.

Spiral (2021)

Even Samuel L. Jackson couldn't save the movie

Probably one of the worst movie I ever witnessed.

Chris Rock is a great actor and extremely funny, this time he tried on some more serious role.. and failed badly.

All the others actors are also extremely bad.

The story doesn't make any sense, they tried to revive the first Saw movie 'magic' and did a pretty bad job.

Do not loose your precious time and go back watch the original.

The Rock (1996)

Best action movie ever made. Period.

That time when Bay used to make perfect or close to perfect movies.

Best action movie ever made, smart, funny, action, action, action.

The story is good, the actors are perfect in their role, director Michael Bay is doing what is does best (filter, low angle), very energetic, soundtrack is amazing.

Nice to see Connery as 'Bond'.

It was the perfect time to reunite all those actors at the top of their career to deliver what is in my opinion a non stop entertaining display of action.

Chaos Walking (2021)

Confusing and not interesting

Every single Hollywood 'cliché' reunited in this movie.

That's was bad.. Extremely predictable.

I like Angelina, but she doesn't fit as a badass firefighter.

Little boy deliver a great performance.

Jon... play Jon, he's himself and he's great.

What is the story about ?

No idea.

What's up with horse ? We don't know Who's the bad guy ? We don't know What's the kid's father knows ? We don't know What's the secret on the paper ? We don't know Is Jon dead ? We don't know Is the baby girl ok ? We don't know How did they survive the fire on the tower ? We don't know Why are they running after each other during the thunderstorm scene to avoid lighting ? We don't know Why did the fire decide to stop at the end ? We don't know Villains talk about 'tactical approach', yet move open and shoot randomly.

This is a very stupid movie.
