Thappad (2020)
8/10
'Thappad' is not only a movie about feminism but also about relationships and anxiety
28 February 2020
'Thappad' is actually better than most of the Bollywood movies we usually appreciate. Seeing movies like 'October' or 'Piku' having a rating of 7.5 and 7.6 respectively and movies like 'Uri' a rating of 8.4 genuinely makes me realize that the Indian audience doesn't make sense. Ever. That's why our movies don't do any good internationally. Because the audience here is more in love with propaganda than actually the movie and its technique. To praise 'Thappad' I just can simply say, it's the best Bollywood movie I've seen since October (2018). As an old guy of Bollywood, I can assure people that we don't usually get such well written, performed, act or shot movies that basically a good movie needs to be. With Article 15, last year Anubhav Sinha already set a landmark of Bollywood films but 'Thappad' is even better with fewer cliches. It's not just a movie of women empowerment or feminism. The way this movie portrays relationships I don't remember if I've ever seen such in Bollywood. The story is first and foremost about a woman protesting about that she can't be beaten by her husband even a slap, or even for once. The performance of Tapsee Pannu here is as good as Kristen Dunst in 'Melancholia' and that's a huge compliment. Also, I can't forget but appreciate the performance of Pavail Gulati. It doesn't matter if a man to a woman or a woman to man or a kid to kid, you can't ever beat anybody for anything. And that's a fact. (8.5/10)

'Pain' and 'Glory'. That's Life.
14 December 2019
Like every other Almodovar film, Pain and Glory have that hidden suspense amazingly crafted under the moments by Mr. Almodovar. 'Pain' and 'Glory', these two adjectives can be found through the screen every now and then. Starring promising actor Antonio Banderas this film talks about a well-known film maker who has stopped making movies for a long time. He meets an old friend and gets addicted to heroine. In the mean time, the film goes on with some of the old shots of his life and his current life. About Pain and Glory all I've to say that this is an original film making from an original film maker. Pedro Almodovar has magic in his mind. That makes him one of my favorite directors. How amazingly the music is set with the landscapes is breathtaking and the performance from Antonio Banderas that made him win the best actor award in Cannes film fest 2019 is truly great. That body language, he conquered that very well. After all, Pain and Glory is yet another tale of life and an amazing drama that comes into the greatest movie of this year 2019. An amazing year of movies, I've to say.

Marriage Story is one of the most accurately deep and intimate view over a separation.
8 December 2019
I've not waited for this much for any other movie from this year. Marriage Story entertained me in all the way it could. So beautifully and accurately portrayed a separation between two characters (Charlie and Nicole) this movie is going to be staying with me for a very long time. And why this divorce story is titled Marriage Story you need to have a look. From the very beginning seeing the couples have been writing about each other, my eyes got struck. But then it turns out they are on their divorce phrase and they are being told to write about each other in front of a marriage counselor. But Nicole doesn't seem to like what she has just written. So usually she gets angry and gets out of the room.

That's how the movie starts. And then it goes deeper through the characters and gives us reasons for the causing and it looks like, that million other divorce cases. 'A Separation', 'Revolutionary Road' or 'Before Midnight' there are a lot of movies made of this same category. But Marriage Story is surely one of the greatest of them. It moves us from the deep inside. It is relatable even if you've never been married but has gone through a breakup. It too looks deep into a couples and their internal issues. The huge fight scene at the end gave me chills just like those fight scenes in Revolutionary Road and Before Midnight.

Marriage Story is so well written and personally, I don't want anything more from a movie. I just want a movie that needs to be about people like us and they have to face situations like ours. And Marriage Story is definitely the film to relate our-selves at any phase of our lives. Also, what I want to say is that the screenplay is the most important part of a film and Noah Baumbach did it very well here. The dialogues, they are accurate, like what real people would say. Some moments, so beautifully written to fill our hearts and that's enough for me to give a film full 10 out of 10.

The performance from Scarlett Johansson probably is so far the best of her career. And I would definitely say the performance of Adam Driver here is nothing less than Joaquin Phoenix in 'Joker'. Above all, Marriage Story is an emotional journey about two individuals, who were supposed to be together is splitting up. Not just depressing or sad the movie has its moments on comedy too and it's beautiful to look at, nice to listen to and deep to take in.

The Irishman (2019)
9/10
Let the door be opened a little
5 December 2019
It's Frank (Robert DeNiro). The whole movie centers around him. From a meat delivery guy to mobster, he have come a long long way. Martin Scorsese's The Irishman gets into the same line with 'No Country For Old Man', 'There Will Be Blood' and 'The Godfather series'. Flawlessly performed and with a masterclass screenplay (that should win the best original screenplay Oscar), The Irishman is one of a highest kind of cinema. Might be long but the minutes are not wasted. The moments are well crafted in the hand of experienced Martin Scorsese. And it seemed like Robert DeNiro didn't even had to memorize the dialogues that how much he is used to Scorsese's characters. Not only just of 2019, it's one of the most impressive movies of this decade and surely gonna be remembered. After all, I personally found The Irishman emotionally drowning and so much humanist till the end. It's not just too much focused in the gore and violence but also takes time to have a look at the real and simple world through the doorway that is slightly opened.

Under the Skin (I) (2013)
9/10
Your eyes drinks this fIlm (9.5/10)
1 December 2019
As the Guardian considers it as the sixth-best film of the century so far, I was excited to watch it even with an average audience and above-average critic rating. And simply it blew my mind. Under the skin is a deep, intimate and illustrative view over loneliness, affection, and attraction. It reflects a woman as mostly an affectionate object who gets attracted by men easily. It tells the story of a beautiful woman who picks guys from the street every then and now. The beauty and performance of Scarlett Johanson is a resource of this film. The performance and that lost in the mind look of Johanson is something that is breathtakingly beautiful in all the way. After all, it's not the movie for your mind to get easily. You need time to think about what the movie is all about. And even being a film with no attractive action all it has amazing visuals to attract the eyes of the audience and it gets lost in the mind of the viewer.

The Farewell (I) (2019)
8/10
Beautiful to Look at! The Farewell is an ode to every family from Lulu Wang (8.5/10)
24 November 2019
What I loved about this film is the fact that the director wasn't too busy to differentiate between eastern and western culture. Instead, she showed how any culture in this world can both be right and wrong. She left it to the audience to judge what's right and what's wrong. The Farwell tells the story of a Chinese family who discovers their grandmother is dying of cancer. And they decide not to tell her the truth. Being a South Asian, that what we might do. I won't share my personal opinion about what's right and what's wrong. What I'll share is how amazingly Lulu Wang was involved in the story! The humor and sadness are so well mixed in the writing and direction that makes 'The Farewell' an unforgettable movie of 2019. And for me it's surely one of the greatest family drama I've seen so far, comparing to Boyhood (2014) and Kapoor and Sons (2016).

Article 15 (2019)

Aritcle 15 is an attractive drama about the darkness of India
10 November 2019
The film is so well made by Anubhav Sinha from every film making aspect that there are very very few moments to judge. Article 15 is a film with a message and social issue that wasn't supposed to be entertaining but the director wrote this film in a stunning way to put that element. The combination of tensed background score and character-following camera always connects the viewer's eyes with the screen and its hard for them to lost focus. With an eye-catching performance from Ayushmann Khurrana, Article 15 is the film that is accurate, well-performed, written and shot that can seek the attention of any kind of audience and people surely would want to discuss about the film after the ending.

The surprise need not to be shocking it need to be worthy.
9 November 2019
Despite there are lots of movies left in this world for me to watch. Still, I came across this film with rather an average critic and audience score cause Kangana Ranaut is the best actress in India, period. But I realize the scores are justified. Judgementall Hai Kya could've been much more even I can say it could've been a masterpiece of Bollywood cinema. With a story of a mentally sick woman who always sees wrong things come across with a surprising skeptic guy. These two are blaming each other as crazy. Now the audience is left to find out who would be from them the culprit. Prakash Kovelamudi couldn't well craft this film even the performances from the leads are flawless. Just some great cinematography and well performance and few mind-blowing moments are not enough for a film to be great. And Judgemental Hai Kya surprise little but enough for some. But not for me.

Joker (I) (2019)
7/10
Joker taught me it's okay to kill people
8 October 2019
It's another busy day in Gotham. And just like other days this guy, as a clown trying to make people laugh in the street. Instead of getting attention he gets insulted, ignored and beaten. He is Arthur Fleck. He wants people to smile but he is always failed. One of his dreams is to go to Murray Franklin's show, one of the biggest TV show hosts in the city who also make people laugh basically. Arthur Fleck has his dreams, a lot of good one but nothing comes true, even something doesn't happen to make that true. His life just goes on this way and at this point, he doesn't even remember if he has ever been happy in his life for a moment at least. This guy still always put on a happy face cause his mother says so.

That's what the basic story of Joker is. Joker is a great movie but it reminded me of Into the Wild or Nightcrawler where negativity is been showed positively. Joker, even though he is a villain but everyone claps for him, even that's what Todd Phillips wanted. He made a bad dish look so good that people find it tasty. passively that can not be easily focused. But still, it's not unrealistic, it treats its lead character with true human feelings and emotions. So we can really admit that some guy like Joker can really do exist. That's the best thing about the film. It's true all the way. It's never stupid or dumb or boring. It gifts its fans what they expect. And even more, where Todd Phillips went right is that the film can satisfied non-fanboys as well.

The film is so gripping and intense that it reminds me of Hereditary, The Babadook and Get Out. Though I won't say it's disturbing because it was hard to move my eyes from any scene in the film even there was some crispiest one. But all are great. The scene in the train actually starts the creepiness of this film. It tells that we are gonna get some odd ride that would both be disturbing and great. But for people who've seen Raw or The Serbian film will not find anything disturbing but it's truly creepy. Joaquin Phoneix meant to be the Joker. He really could be in the character. The difference between Phoneix and Ledger is that Ledger was Joker but Phoneix is Arthur Fleck.

The cinematography in the film is eye-catchy and the score is adrenaline rusher but they are surely not oscar worthy. If the movie gets oscar(s) then it will for the best film or best director or best actor or all three. Gripping, intense, emotional even depressing Joker is the movie that is kind of a mirror to the society but still in a negative way. It could've shown in a much different way that could fully satisfy the critics but it left the audience crazy and unsatisfied telling it's ok to kill people if you are ignored in the society.

Gandhi (1982)
10/10
An Eternal Hope of Living
2 October 2019
At the age of 8 when I first watched the movie, I believed that it was a documentary. Then at the age of 13 when I watched the movie on TV I instantly fell in love with Mahatma. And now watching almost after a several years Gandhi left me with that same feeling of love for him I felt a years ago. Richard Attenborough's Gandhi have all those materials a good film should have. Even though if deeply criticized then the film might not be an eye-catcher for everyone due to the cliche-at-sometime screenplay I find. But Gandhi is not just a movie that makes us believe a person's unique philosophy but a tale that also appreciate the sacrifices of his nearer friends. Also the movie impacts British not as heartless villain but as with true delicacy and perfect human documentary. Never the movie goes too much to make it unbelievable neither it goes too low to feel not much for Bapu.

The movie starts with the scene of death of Gandhiji. He is walking down the crowd. Everyone is greeting him. And a guy come to him, touches his feet and shot him getting up. That's the way the film starts. And it goes to the scene where Gandhi, as a young man travelling through the first class of a train and soon kicked out from there. The reason is his skin is brown and he can't be allowed to be travelling at first class. Soon from that day he starts noticing about the fact that how much hate exists in this world between people with different colour, cast and creed.

Short, skinny and with no handsome face this man led India to Independence and became a idol of millions. Ben Kingsley's performance is so good that sometimes it's feel like watching a documentary. Tears, anger and emotions all that is showed in a perfect amount by Brilliant Mr.Kingslay. And as about the cinematography and score both are mind blowing. The moment at the Jalianwalabag was a intense piece of film clip. And as about those landscapes of running trains, green crop fields and the sun rays over the lake are amazing to look at not just for the moving camera but also for that amazing piece of soulful music that fulfils the scene with nostalgia.

Above all, winner of 8 Oscar and million of people's heart both the movie and Gandhi, as a person leave an impact on my mind that wouldn't easily be forgettable.

Talk to Her (2002)
9/10
Talk to Her is a mysterious yet mind blowing film making
8 June 2019
Pedro Almodovar's Talk to Her is one of those films where you can discover each moment more than one way. It's a mysterious yet mind-blowing film making from Pedro.

The film starts with two men watching a silent drama and one of them started shedding some tears. With that scene, one can be realized this is gonna be a hidden humorous journey. Later both of these guys met again in the hospital where the one named Benigno was a male nurse take caring of a girl in a coma. And the other guy named Marco was there because of a girl who was dear to him also gone to coma. They met and they started sharing there stories and both of these guys can seem gay at some point of the movie. But they are not even which is not clear. Here, Benigno is the guy is quite confident about his world and on the other side Marco doesn't stay much confidence and we can realize that at the first scene as he was the one who was crying.

There are plenty of odd scenes in this movie which are beautiful to watch. And the screenplay of this movie is as amazing as it can easily make you seat badly waiting for the next dialogue. Full with intimacy, humor, attraction, and beauty this movie also has some of the amazing music. From start to end the background score is yet another fascinating thing about this film.

Performances from each of the cast were great and especially from Rosario Flores played the character of Lydia. Above all Talk to Her is a film reflects true love, true friendship and the true generosity of life. With the amazing cinematography, score, acting, script, direction, and story Talk to Her is one of the best films in the world. And in every possible way, a film lover can't be complete without watching this.

The Tale (2018)
9/10
In the end, The Tale is a reflection of an ugly reality and it's an overwhelming experience to encounter them on our own eyes.
8 June 2019
Based on Jennifer Fox's personal life experience The Tale is an internal tale of any average woman. Even for them who have not experienced the same thing.

As a thirteen-year-old child, Jennifer always wanted a story to tell but nothing ever happened to her. But finally, she met a divorced man and a married woman sharing emotions of love. Jennifer as a thirteen-year-old girl with a fantasy mind always found themselves very amazing. And she started writing about them. Even she started sending them letters and they would reply to them. Their relationship was based on : As the man named Bill was her running coach and the woman named Mrs. G used to ride Jennifer over the horses. There were even a lot of other girls too. Later at an older age, Jennifer found those letters and started feeling suspicious over the old memories as something had happened to her with them. Normally Jennifer started investigating and as time passed by she slowly started revealing so many truths that made her more interested in them.

How Jennifer Fox organized her life story under the screen is so beautiful to watch. As she had experienced those she had been so accurate throughout the direction and script. Every moment of this movie feels special even it can possibly make some bored but those who are intended to find out a good movie are surely gonna be in love with this.

Laura Dern played the character of Jennifer Fox and she successfully reflected those raw emotions. Known as a great actress Laura Dern is experienced and she had to be good in this movie. All the other cast did their jobs so amazingly. The background score of this film is another amazing part of this movie. This music is placed beautifully that keeps you hooked both from your eyes and brain.

In the end, The Tale is a reflection of an ugly reality and it's an overwhelming experience to encounter them on our own eyes. The movie speaks to ourselves and tells us to look outside and try to find out something and it also tells us to help and love ourselves which we usually don't do.

Made in Heaven (2019– )
10/10
Made In Heaven is A Powerful Drama That Makes One Learn So Many Things About Life, Love, Friendship and Above All Selfishness.
24 April 2019
At least after the 5 episodes, I was a little upset about why the makers of this series only took out the negativity of Indian people then I realized how dumb I was. It would be a real lie to tell that Made in Heaven is only to made as against of Indian Society.

Even after the series, I was just thinking about what is the real story of Made In Heaven! Because there are so many that I lost the count and at the end Made in Heaven is probably one of the best things I've ever encountered in my life. The series is made of 9 episodes and presented by Amazon Prime.

Karan Mehra (Arjun Mathur) and Tara Khanna (Shobhita Dhulipala) started a wedding planner business but the starting of them was a failure and they lost almost so much money. Now the series starts with how they will move on. And they got a wedding after all. But they always clash society. Every episode is about how they went against the weird culture of Indians and fix the issues. And that made it a drama but fortunately, it never gets over. In their team, the three more special figures are the cameraman Kabir (Shashank Arrora), the designer Jaspreet (Shivani Raghubansi) and The production designer Shibani (Natasha Singh). All of them have stories. Especially of Karan and Tara.

Karan the guy who is homosexual had an emotional past about his first love. Tara who used to be a girl lived in poor locality moved into the city and married Adil Khanna (Jim Sarbh) a very big businessman. Where Adil got into an affair with Faiza Naqbi (Kalki Koechlin), the best friend of Tara. And as about the story of the designer Jaspreet got a brother who is a drug addict stealing money from his own home. Then Afterall about Kabir and Shibani is nothing much but still special.

Made In Heaven brought out the dark side of Indian Society by so many stories. Every story is made in the touch of drama. The Screenplay of this series is written so beautifully that created realistic vibes. Especially the performances from Shobita Shulipala and Jim Sharbh's completely blew my head. And the acting of Arjun Mathur was great except I wish if he could cry a little better it would look more realistic. And about Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghubansi when I first time saw them in the 2015 film Titli I was so shocked how much some amazing actors couldn't get chance in movies. Finally, when I saw them here I became completely happy. The character of Shashank, (the cameraman Kabir) probably my favorite character from this series. And I didn't expect he could be such an amazing narrator. Every episode became much more emotional because of his ending documentary narration.

Homosexuality, dowry, affairs, dark-politics, religion and much more serious issues were so beautifully reflected in this series. And definitely, it was an eye-opener to the audience. There were some situations I thought was a little overdramatic but that didn't ruin the enjoyment of the show. Above all Made in Heaven is a social commentary that makes people learn so many thinks and it deserves nothing but 100% score.

PS: Thanks to the makers, its a gift for me!

Kalank (2019)
7/10
The Cinematography hooks you despite the bad screenplay
18 April 2019
Much awaited Kalank was a special film because of its cinematography and performances. And at the same time over dramatic. But that hardly matters. Because as the film is a story of eternal love then drama requires. The movie is overlong too. But above all your time might be waste because of this movie but not your money.

When score, performance and cinematography combines audience can't move their eyes from that. Kalank create such moments many times. One can visit the set of this movie on their mind while watching this.

Abhishek Barman may not be still on the position of Sanjay Leela Bhansali but the effort he made is great. Varun Dhawan's as always same body language but he stole the show. Alia Bhatt never failed to amaze and finally Aditya Roy Kapoor after a long time did something promising.

The movie can get boring at moments but you need to be a film lover to watch this movie. Because in Bollywood we hardly get good techniques in movies. And Kalank is one of those. Where everything was near good, but Kalank failed to reach average film watcher because lack of salt on everywhere.

Roma (2018)
9/10
A Direction like never before
24 February 2019
Hardly twice or thrice in a year you watch a movie and can say movies are life. They don't know anything about movies who says movies are fake. Alfanso Cuaron's Roma is an art made in the perspective of an almost ignored unhappy life. This drama is deep and neat. Tales within tales made Roma a one of the best art of recent times.

The story is about a mexican maid named Cleo (Yalitza Aparicio) works in a family with four children, their parents and grandma. She has a helpmate too. The film is about a year in the life of this maid. Set in 1970s this movie is edited black and white just to make you feel different or nostalgic or maybe to feel for them. I can't say the specific reason. Roma connect with your soul slowly. The moments like that guy singing in the burning forest, or at the end when Cleo went to save two children in the sea even she didn't know how to swim or that standing in one leg with the eyes closed make situations that you have to discover something about one specific life.

10 academy award nominated this movie is about love, life and emotions. This is artistic, honest and beyond imagination which is to experience only. Alfanso Cuaron's superb direction made this more delightful to watch. This is even maybe one of the best film direction I've ever seen. Awesome cinematography is a resource of this film. There are no background score in this movie but the sound design is awesome.

The special thing about Roma is one need experience of movies to watch it. You just can't go watch Roma if you are not a normal movie person.

Shoplifters (2018)
9/10
An Adorable Journey Throughout a Road of Humanity
23 February 2019
Academy Award's official entry from Japan Shoplifters already earned so many awards and could even got every awards if there was no 'Roma'. Shoplifters questions us and left us to find the answer. The question could be seen in the trailer too. It was "Does giving birth automatically makes you a mother?" Though shoplifters is not made on this very topic. It's more than this.

They are family with husband, wife, and grandma and with two kids. They are poor. The man named Osamu (Lily Franky) shoplift everyday with his kid named Shota (Jyo Kairi). They return home and feel their stomach with the foods along with the other members of the family. One day returning home Osamu and Shota found a little girl (Miyu Sasaki) was outside of his home who had no one in their family then. They took her into their little house full with humanity and everybody welcome her. On the next day they went to return her but ended up hearing their parents were fighting over her existence and that's why they decided to took her into their house.

All of them in this family earn legally or illegally. They are not all innocent but they do have innocence. This film is adorable with it's realistic family goals. No matter what this family is actually happy over anything they has. But will not they try to do something which is acceptable? They are helpless too. They are free, they enjoy their time. The little girl who used to get beaten by her parents made a great relationship with this family too.

First of all there is nothing to spoil this film. The trailer showed almost all of this movie. This film is made on the views over a poor japaneese family. Hirokazu wanted us to feel for them. And it worked amazingly by his artistically work. Shoplifters never gives you any hard moments and this film has no center conflict. It's like a flowing river that has some stones in the middle. Shoplifters is an adorable journey throughout an road of humanity.

Amazing screenplay form Hirokazu and masterclass acting from all the cast gave me goosebumps in moments. There are moments that can make you cry and laugh at the same time. Shoplifters will be always live with my heart. And I liked it by watching 8.1 on imdb over 17k votes. It is really good to see normal people started liking this kind of arts too.

Burning (2018)
9/10
No. It's not just a thriller. I repeat. No
16 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
There are people I heard saying that this film's first half is really boring, it should be cut half. But actually when you watch this as a thriller you may feel like this. It's not something what it looks. Its more about something else. I am briefly describing that under.

Lee Jong-su (Ah In Yoo) is a guy whose story is quiet complicated. At the beginning of the story he meets with Shin Hae-mi (Jong-seo Jeon) at a lottery center. Hae-mi is a girl who considered her self as the old neighbor of him. Slowly we discovers that Jong-su is an introvert, who fallen in love with Hae-mi after having sex. One day Hae-mi left for a tour to Africa and met a guy named Ben on the tour, who seems suspicious to Jong-su. These three charecters are the main in this story. There story unfolds and we starts realizing so many things.

Burning left us with an unanswered question that on can realize after a while if he or she wants to know. Burning is not just a thriller, It's something more about the introversion life of Jong-su, about love and about to believe. And above all it's about life.

Now, how can it be like that. The whole film is made on the point of view of Jong-su, one introvert will surely discover what's running over his mind all the time. As we see Jong-su's life is quiet complicated, he has no strong connection with his family and he doesn't even has any good friend, Now that makes a man depressed. The first half is all about to show to dicover the ending. why Jong-su is like that, and why does he killed. How can someone simple like him can turn a killer. Jong-su fallen in love with Hae-mi and he realized that there are still hope for him to live a happy life, so then Hae-mi is the only one who is there for him, but still that only power of Jong-su has been borrowed by someone, At the end we get confused and thinks that the film will show us that why and how. But as i described it's completely on the point of view of Jong-su so he had to kill Ben. Because the proves were all in front of him. He always used to keep the fire inside him that finally shows it's range. Jong-su has lost everything, and he has the culprit in front of him, he has nothing to lose. Again the story is about to believe. Why? because If the believe over Hai-mi would not come Jong-su could never go to the end of his life, that end where he can find himself, as the ignored mute guy trying to do something big but always ending up failing.

The more you think about Burning the more you discovers. It's one of the most amazing film in recent times. The film reminds me of Manchester by The Sea, it was also some kind of film that has so many tells inside it's.

A life changing cinematography that stays with you along all the day after watching. It is the unique beauty of this amazing movie. Usually It's not a thriller only, It's more about the life of a guy who was once ignored in childhood.

Hereditary (2018)
7/10
Don't Watch This Because This is A Masterpiece!
9 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Here is this little girl named Charlie (Milly Shapiro) with her cute look. She stays with her mother Annie (Toni Collette), father Steve (Gabriel Byene) and brother Peter, (Alex Wolfe). The film starts with the death of Charlie' grand mother (Annie's mom). So Charlie becomes quiet now, she wonders who's gonna take care of her. She used be close to her grandmother.

Now this little girl may have a cute face, but her reactions and looks are really scary. As all horror films Hereditary too have some common things like the sky where is no sun, A non city area, there are no neighbors and the rooms are little dark. But definitely Hereditary is not like other horror films, It get it's own class.

One day Peter, Charlies brother is about to go to a party and asking if he can borrow a car, so his mother tell him to take his sister to the party. He doesn't want to though. Neither his sister wants to go the party, But their mother managed it. So they are going now by car, charlie on the back seat making a weird sound with her mouth. Her brother Peter may be her brother but they doesn't talk, Charlie is little bit scary. So then they goes to the party the party goes on. Peter goes to smoke weed requesting Charlie to wait a little bit, Charlie says No but somehow stays. Peter goes upstairs, Charlie stars eating a cake and starts feeling she can't breath, her throat is getting bigger, she goes to her brother can't managed to talk. Peter, scared took her to the car, starts driving, Charlie on the backseat trembling, jumping holding her throat. Peter speed up the car to 80 mph. Charlie opens the window, move her head out side the window to take breath from the open air. Peter running car on 80 mph suddenly sees something like a dog in the middle of the road, he scared, moves the car fast, Charlie's head bashed a poster on 80 mile per hour. And that's that. We don't see what happens, the camera is on the face of peter, we don't see what happened in backseat. Peter, scared like hell isn't looking back, After 5 mins he stars the car again. Reach home and went to his bed. At the morning we see peter is not sleeping and we can hear his yelling and crying mother, and then the camera moves to the area where Charlie's head was smashed, and we can see Charlie's head eating by the ants lying in the field, So her mother cried and yelled looking at her half body in the car.

That's it. Now I described the scene because I've never so much scared after watching any movie scenes. From this scene it says that the movie is not for everyone. And I'm sorry but any light heart human body can die after watching this. I'm sorry but it's true. The way Ari Aster (the director) made this scene is beyond explanation. The scene has the ability to make anyone believe that they actually see a cut head.

This film got 88 on metacritic, now if you follow metacritic and see their top rated movies (Like Manchester By The Sea, Moonlight, Pan's Labyrinth or Boyhood) you will understand how deep these movies are. These movies are always beyond explanation. When you starts watching these you forget that you are watching movie, it becomes complete real. Now when a horror movie becomes real, then it's Hereditary.

Hereditary is so scary and realistic that it can make you feel everything is happening in front of you. So watch a horror movie but not a masterpiece horror movie if your heart is weak.

Heart stopping direction, masterclass acting, realistic screenplay, depressing cinematography, disturbing story line, everything combines to a deadliest horrific situation.

Though the last 10 minutes of the film makes it feel like what was the importance of the movie. But you will realize that later.

Which scene I've described above was just the start of the horrific moments, there are much more. I come to watch this movie because watchmojo put it on the no.1 movie of 2018 where no.2 was Avengers Infinty War. And I want to thank you watchmojo.

I cut 3 points because, It's depressing and nobody wants to be depressed, and the ending was not as well satisfying.

Above all this is so far the best horror movie of the world that has the ability to kill you, I repeat 'to kill you'.

The Rider (2017)
9/10
Take Some Moments To Cry Yourselves
3 January 2019
I'm very tiny to review this film. Even anyone can't give it a proper rating. The Rider is one of such film that tells us to live. But not like we are living everyday. The film has a soul that is not possible to feel to everyone.

It's the story of a cowboy who is badly injured now. He can't go back to his horse riding dream. And as usually he is fainted. Slowly the film moves through the eyes of the cowboy. He doesn't know what he is doing. But he is sure of what he is not doing.

For the 1 hour and 38 min I could not realize that I was watching a film and they were all acting. So if I talk about the acting then everyone is masterclass. And from the cinematography to score The Rider is a real winner. It's kind of near perfect movie that you don't watch everyday.

Above all The Rider is a film to experience. It's definitely not gonna entertain you but whatever impact it will play on your life, In one word it's 'Priceless'.

"There is nothing much to do than to run away with you"
5 December 2018
Kuch Bheege Alfaaz takes time but at the end connect with your soul and stays along with you all the day.

Onir known for his absolute artistic work comes with this amazing piece of beauty after a while and he is surely successful here. The film doesn't slowly express actually. It is the soul of the film that is slow. But this slowness keeps it natural and keep you hooked with it until the 2nd part comes which is pure brilliance.

Archana Pradhan(Gitanjali Thapa) work in an sarcasm website whose work is to make memes. Her friend Apu (Shrey Ray Tiwari) also works with her and loves her though even with the imperfection on her face. But Archana (AKA Archi) can't admire him as his lover. And the third person who comes in this film is Alfaaz who is an RJ of 92.7 big FM and everyone is almost fan for his voice on his show 'Kuch Bheege Alfaaz'. Now their story unfolds with some online talks. They doesn't talk, they express their feelings. And this feelings are so true that makes a WE TOO feeling.

Geetanjali Thapa is an amazing actress who proves her skill with his simplest body language in this film too that makes us feel for her like our neighborhood girl. But surprisingly Zain Khan was better than Gitanjali in this film, the last crying scene gives a goosebumps just not only because the story but also because of his acting and for the whole screen time he is genuinely successful to show that mannered behavior that's all he had to show. The background score is the best power of this movie and I've to say it is the best of 2018 even better than 'October'. Cinematography is well though.

After all if one word I've to say about the film then it's "Poetical-beauty".

Badhaai Ho (2018)
8/10
A unique story that can easily reach the Indian's heart
19 October 2018
While watching Badhaai Ho I was remembering a dialogue - "Family is above everything" from the film 'Coco'. Badhai Ho is definitely a film that makes you love of your family sometimes more.

Nakul's (Ayushmaan Kuranna) family resembles a perfect happy Punjabi family until the tragedy happens when Nakul's mother (Neena Gupta) get pregnant on her late 50s. For sure Nakul, his brother and his his grandma everyone started blaming her and his husband (Gajraj Rao) for being careless. And this story spread like flame and they all started feeling exhausting on the society.

Now It's reflect a story that's really unique and anyone will want to know what's gonna happen next. The next situations are quite realistic and perfectly organised. Every scene is so funny and hilarious that makes you sit through the film. And the film has a kind of humor that can makes anyone laugh.

Amit Sharma comes with this amazing story and he is successful to reach India's heart, anyone can fall in love with his work. When talking about the acting Gajraj Rao did a great a job and everyone else in this film is amazing, Ayushman Khurrana getting to an unique place on Bollywood day by day. The screenplay written by Jyoti Kapoor and several others is great. The background score sometimes makes the film melodramatic but that's not a question at all because the drama never gets too much because of the beautiful cinematography(Best of 2018 after 'October) by Sanu Varghese.

Overall it's a 2nd amusement in 1 month by one and only Ayushmaan Khurrana that is completely watchable and anyone can say "Let's make this kind of films more"

Mayurakshi (2017)
8/10
A realistic film with an important social issue
30 September 2018
'Mayurakshi' is about a man who comes at home after a long time from abroad to meet his father, but returning home he saw that his father has changed. His father become unable to remember recent things.

This film is much more than just a film because it shows something social to us. It's quite realistic with little background score. The director make this film delightful with his skills. And the best thing is about the film is the chemistry between Prasenjit and Soumitra. They both are experienced and they now how to portray a character.

At the end of the film most of us can get hopeless about there can be something more. But it's the reality, It is the damn reality. If the director make is as a drama then the ending would be dramatic. the ending makes the film harsh and left us heart broken with a great message that how should we treat our family.

Overall 'Mayurakshi' is an beautiful and painful realistic story of father-son that hardly reach everyone but one of the best in it's own way.

Raazi (2018)
8/10
Raazi comes into one of the best film of 2018
16 August 2018
Raazi is definitely one of the best film of 2018 and for sure it has the ability to own both Flimfare and IIfa awards. Meghna Gulzaar's 2nd film Raazi is worthful to watch because of it's amazing performance and directing.

Alia Bhat gave her best performance after Udta Punjab. If I talk about Vicky Kaushal he made a stunning act. You can feel the real honest officer in his face. Meghna Gulzar directed the film well, scene by scene there was no unintentional moment. After all, background score is amazing. When we see the last scene where everything comes to an end, the music makes you emotional.

All over these Raazi is completely successful as a great patriotic drama that really shows the sacrifice of spies.

Sujit Sircar, Juhi Chaturvedi, Varun Dhawan, Banita Sandhu...! Where will you find the mistakes?
22 June 2018
The worst trailer became the best film. Where the trailer was not understandable but after watching the film you will clear the trailer.

Dan(Varun Dhawan) is the trainee of a hotel who has not a single interest in management and keep doing mistakes all of the time, Shiuli(Banita Sandhu) his trainer even she is junior of her. The story is about love of Dan & Shiuli but not a love story. We can see such films very few times where love defined in this amazing way. No words, no communication, just has some eye contacts even not anybody know that they are in love.

Varun Dhawan's acting is casual and perfect for the role. Banita rarely spoke a word but her facial reaction is enough to make you realize her beauty. Other supporting actors done an amazing work and make the film more delightfull.

The big name is Juhi Chaturvedi who done the screenplay and wrote the story, Juhi Chaturvedi always among the best writers from Bollywood and in this film she also done a great job. The Cameraman captured some amazing moment to fulfill the background and my favourite Anupam Roy is the music director here, we hear him also in a Piku.

So all over this Sujit Sircar done a great job here in his 4th film. Most touchy among all from him. Tears can't be hold by me after watching this amazing, beautyfull, heartbreaking film!

Lust Stories (2018)
8/10
A Sexual Step Towards Bollywood Films
19 June 2018
First, this is one of the bravest attempt by popular Bollywood directors, bravest because it has strong erotic content specially in the last story

This film is a collection of 4 short stories which are all about women sexuality...

First one is directed by Anurag Kashyap is the perfectly directed. Where Radhika Apte's statement is not entertaining to listen but have many thing to understand about women desires. Personally I don't admire it. Radhika Apte's acting was spectacular and not questionable! For this story I will give it 3.5/5

Second one is directed by Zoha Akther, and this is the weakest story from the film. This is a one sentence story last about 25 mins. But it is not that bad actually. Zoha tried to explain this simple thing by Bhumi Pednekar's eyes. Bhumi does a great job here, She rarely spoke a word but his face revealed so much truths. And we realize it. For this story I will give it 2.5/5

Third one is directed by Dibakar Banerjee, and this is the best story among all of this. How women find pleasure when they don't get it from there partner and then they confused about their friend with benefit or lover. I will give it 4/5

Fourth one is directed by Karan Johar, it is the most entertaining and hottest story. A woman despite not having sex less than 5 seconds from her partner(Vicky Kaushal) decided to use a vibrator dildo for pleasure. I will give it also 4/5

So all over these, all the story say about some women desires men couldn't fulfill and they lost their loves. Something like Lust and Lost love.

And my personal quote is we see such films soo much in bollywood talk about women desires, I don't know why bollywood don't make films about those girls who don't like sex, because in my lifetime how many girls I have I met hasn't so interest in sex, So the last character opposite of Vicky Kaushal is very uncommon for me.

After all this film will not entertain you but will show you something social. Which a film should do. It is a rarely made bollywood gem
