Works well as a Comedy
1 December 2021
Not meant to be one though. Only meant to put males in their rightful place. As subservient monsters to the smarter and more powerful women. Straight out of an MSNBC monolog. Great scenery and everything else is ridiculous but I suppose in line with the collective insanity we are undergoing in the world today.

Love the Show and Characters
13 July 2021
I say characters because they are all "characters" in their own way. The show isn't for everyone. Most people seem to like manufactured drama, pure excitement or even negativity in their shows these days. Clarkson's Farm is an easy to watch reality show/documentary with lots of lessons to learn. You don't just learn about farming, but also how to react to disappointment, the value of hard work and how to inject humor into daily life without being so uptight. The people in the show are quirky but you'll start to love them more for who they are every episode. It's also a very well done show in terms of visuals and all the other aspects that go into making a documentary. I really hope for a season 2.

A Bizarre and Tragic Movie
20 March 2021
If you want to spend a couple of hours watching hollywood cliches woven into an overly theatrical and bizarre storyline and group of characters, then this is for you. Not to mention the negative and tragic slant to the entire movie. I like dark humor but this was interrupted by manufactured drama and just strange characters. I suppose a shirtless Liam Hemsworth gets the movie some high ratings though, and Kate Winslet is always great. But my God. I guess this is what qualifies as deep, dramatic and dark comedy now. Sad.

Could not make it through two Episodes
22 February 2021
I love the other reviewer who said he would have had Negan bash his head before watching it, if he knew....Well, it's that bad. I'd add to that and say I'd rather be put through the junkyard slurry machine than watch this. You have to try and make a zombie show this bad. Wow.

Reality is Hard for Some to Understand
4 February 2021
My dad's side of the family is from small towns in Kentucky so I grew up hearing stories and and eventually meeting a lot of the family who still lived there. Life is hard, there aren't many jobs, and people don't talk the same way as the elitists on the East/West Coasts. They could have an edge, curse and be coarse at times. They were also very loving and open people who'd give you the shirt off their back. This movie captured what I know about some of those areas. It's not pretty at times, but a more simple and honest life. In our society people are conditioned to think the only disadvantaged people are black or illegal immigrants. I thought the acting was spot on and it perfectly illustrated the good and bad side of a part of our culture that gets no attention in the media or from politicians. Ron Howard did a great job in how he handled this.

Great Series to Done in 1 Season
30 September 2020
Fargo the movie and series are things most people either love or hate. Up until now, I've been in the love it column. Sorry to say Season 4 takes all the past great efforts and spits all over it. Terrible casting with absolutely no interesting or engaging characters. I have always liked Chris Rock but please. Not made for a role like this. The dialog is flat, the usual dark comedy falls flat and you spend your whole first episode with predictable recycling of more or less the same scene. On to another show.

Season 5 tanked it
4 August 2020
It was a brilliant show that has descended into hollywood stereotypes. The progressives in the board room won and we lost. The show follows others that place more emphasis on making a political statement than just concentrating on making a good show. It had nice complexity of characters and now they are predictable and shallow. Way to ruin a good thing.

Very Revealing
4 November 2019
Lots of interesting info about Obama, and many things you've never heard. It appears to have been researched very well. The negative reviews are based on people not liking information that flows against the norm, and their own political bias. They can't dispute the information contained in the documentary.

Good up to a point
25 October 2019
I felt it was a well-made show up until about season 6. Then It shows its true colors. A main character seems more concerned about how terrorists are treated rather than our country's safety and it gives insight into the soul of the show. One quote that did it for me was "our country went stupid crazy after 9/11" as she's talking to someone who posts offensive material against America. I don't mind it being a little left of center as it predictably would be but this is too much.

Loved First Two Seasons
9 October 2019
The first two seasons illustrate the great acting of Thornton and good story lines. Season 3 is off the tracks. It's incorporated weird delusions, dreams and drug inducements along with some mystical garbage. It loses direction and doesn't seem to get back on track. I gave it 6 episodes and that's all I can stomach. Too bad.

In many ways Really Well Done
3 September 2019
Slow moving, suspenseful and great acting. Also scary, but not in a traditional sense. My biggest problem making it through was divorcing my mind from the reality that the biggest threat of government takeover and intrusion isn't coming from Christians, who the show takes aim at. It's become redundant and boring with all the evil white Christian male characters woven into so many shows these days. This does it tenfold. I went in knowing this but was mostly able to enjoy the quality of the show until it slowed to a snail's pace and became even more plodding and redundant.

OH MY GOD, Magnum!!
24 October 2018
Can hear Higgins voice from the grave. I wanted to like it but they worked overtime to screw up a good thing. The characters are horrible. Weak dialog. If you watch because you liked the original you will throw up in your mouth watching this. Sorry I wasted any time on it at all. Will be cancelled after this season.

Only Need to Watch the Trailer
8 March 2018
Everything else is completely uninteresting, not funny and ruins what could have been a really funny movie. With Ferrell, whom I love, and the premise I thought it would be really good. The trailer looked funny but then about halfway through you realize the only three funny scenes were in the trailer and you've been screwed. What a waste of time.

Never Knew Churchill was a Borderline Dimwit
8 March 2018
You need only watch 30 minutes of this movie before you can be assured Churchill was incompetent in all things prior to his WWII role as PM, and then only bright enough to barely get by. He struggles to put together complete sentences at times and has the respect of very few. It takes his wife to rally him out of bed and tell him how to act to his transition to PM. Wow, what a terrible portrayal. Yes, he had his flaws but exhibited a greater strength of purpose and character in real life. In trying to humanize him this movie has downplayed his enormous contribution and his example of what it really takes to stand up to tyranny. Of course the weight of historical evidence forces the director to eventually portray him in a more favorable light. This movie lacked anything compelling and was the equivalence of an average to mediocre History Channel presentation.

Had Potential
26 April 2017
The show takes an interesting concept with good initial plot, decent dialog and good action, then drifts into the stereotypical bashing of right wing ideals. It took 10 episodes but finally got to the multi-cultural, PC promoting propaganda that I feared it would become. I took it off my DVR list and will never watch again. Too bad, because I liked what I saw and it had great potential.
