...to make it scary and bizarre. Instead it turns stupid. Great idea about the cloning but could have been executed so much better. Kinda also feels as if they ran out of ideas so they put scenes where James is having some episodes where he sees visions with things that are ment to feel bizarre and scary, naked people in masks, gore. They dont. They are just there to fill up time. Same about the masks overall - they look cool but why? No explanation, no motive for them to be used, they are just there because "masks are scary".
They main antagonist Mia Goth is not a very good actor. Her voic is really going on my nerves, perhaps its just me but all that screaming... yikes. The other characters are not memorable at all, they have no backstory, no motives no nothing. Nobody has any motive to do anything really. They just do stuff. What drives them? Nothing. What drives James. Nothing. I seriously would like to have red the script - i bet it's better than the execution.
