Better Then Expected
17 October 2008
I went in to the theatre expecting to be disappointed by this film. However, I was very surprised when I came out. Although the story doesn't really go into to much depth about what went on throughout his life, it doesn't need too. Based on what the movie gives you, you can pretty much figure it out yourself, and that that was one of the good things about the movie.

The acting was actually very good all around. Josh Brolin did a very nice job as President Bush. I think that W. is a very interesting biography of Bush. Richard Dreyfuss, James Cromwell, Elizabeth Banks and Thandie Newton all had excellent performances, as well as everyone else. This films comedic value shows that the film isn't to be taken to seriously, it is both funny and it sets a dramatic mood as well. There were times when it would be hard to fallow and the layout of the story is a little confusing at first but as the movie unfolds it's easier to understand. It isn't the best movie, but for what it is it certainly isn't the worst and may be worth a watch.

Garbage
11 October 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I seriously don't understand why so many people are saying how good this movie is. The only positive thing I can say about this, is that it did have some thrills here and there and the acting wasn't that bad, but a few thrills simply isn't enough to save this film from it's terrible flaws and annoying characters. The camera work was simply horrible. Half of the time I couldn't see what was going on because it was so shaky. The characters were very annoying and they weren't very smart either. Ordinarily you would care enough for them that you would want the characters to and make it out alive. However, that's not the case here. Almost every character set themselves up to be killed/infected. Instead of using the cops gun, they'd use things such as, a sledgehammer, the camera, etc. Another thing that just didn't make sense was that instead of just killing the zombies on sight they would take their chances trying to help them and risk getting bitten, very ridiculous. This movie is a complete waste and offers little to no entertainment value whatsoever and fails miserably at everything it tries to achieve.

Wating 3 Hours To See The Midnight Show Pays Off, Just As I Expected
18 July 2008
I'm going to start off by saying that The Dark Knight is definitely the best movie of 2008. I'd also say without a second thought that in my opinion The Dark Knight greatly surpasses Batman Begins, and I loved that movie, but if you compare it with The Dark Knight, Batman Begins simply doesn't stand a chance The Dark Knight succeeds in everything it has to offer. From the acting, the action, and the music, everything is just wonderful. Heath Ledger's role as the Joker was epic and he left us a legendary performance that will always be remembered as one of the best acting roles ever. Christian Bale's role as Bruce Wayne and Batman was excellent as well and the same goes for Aaron Eckhart playing Harvey Dent/Two Face. Two Face looked absolutely incredible to say the least. The special effects are phenomenal and just amazing in every aspect.

This movie was just fantastic, great story, great acting, everything was great. This is the movie that people have been waiting for. It's one of those rare movies that most people will consider it nothing less then a masterpiece

Better Then The 2003 Version, That's For Sure
21 June 2008
Warning: Spoilers
The title speaks for not only being The Incredible Hulk, but being an incredible movie as well. There are many reasons as to why I think this movie is superior to it's 2003 counterpart "HULK" For one thing both the action and special effects are so much better and there isn't as many dead spots this time around where you're just waiting for something to happen. Another reason is because it had a pretty neat plot twist where they decided to have another being have Bruce's Gamma energy injected into them to try and battle the Hulk. The acting was pretty impressive, the only part I didn't like was Liv Tyler, she did OK but certainly not as well as the others. Overall The Incredible Hulk is a great movie that I think most people will find it to be a great action movie.

He's Gonna Take You Back To The Past
17 June 2008
Ah yes, what can we say about The Angry Video Game Nerd? Aside from having a nerdy shirt and a pocket pouch, James Rolfe is the star of one of the funniest shows a lot of us has ever seen. Everything about the show is hilarious whether it be the words he makes up to describe how much he hates the games he plays, or to see him take out his rage on the game by destroying it after he is done with it etc. Another reason why the show is so great is because of all the neat special effects that James does, and he does one hell of an awesome job. The theme song is catchy and funny too. I applaud him for all the work he puts into his show to entertain his fans. Great job James, your show is excellent.

I Ain't Afraid Of No Ghosts
3 May 2008
Ah, Ghostbusters, a movie that took your imagination to it's limits. From sucking up ghosts with proton packs, to a giant walking marshmallow mascot going on a rampage though New York, Ghostbusters is considered to be a childhood favourite by many. The movie was such a success back in the 80's. Much fallowed the films release such as a sequel, a cartoon series, a line of video games and action figures. Everything about Ghostbusters is fun to watch weather it be watching a ghost get grabbed by the proton streams and being sucked into a ghost trap with amazing special effects, or it be hearing the siren from the ecto-1 as it speeds passed, not to mention the awesome theme song. The gadgets that the Ghostbusters are equipped with are also very cool my favourite being the ghost vacuum that is on the roof of the ecto-1. The Ghostbusters face off against Gozer and her minions and must stop them from destroying the city Having all that said, Ghostbusters is a movie that people look back on and remember the feeling they got after watching it for the first time as kids, and that feeling is a feeling no one will ever forget.

Sylvester Stallone Does It Again
9 February 2008
Whenever I go to see his movies on the big screen I never worry of how it will turn out. "The movie stars Sylvester Stallone, all his other movies were great, this one will be too" those are always the words that come to my mind when I find out that he is going to star in a movie and I've yet to be disappointed by ANY of his movies including this one. This movie was so intense, it had me at the edge of my seat quite a bit throughout the movie. The war like atmosphere that the movie has is excellent as is his acting performance. He is in great shape for his age and looks a lot younger then he really is, I always found that quite amazing. The story was very engaging and made the movie a lot better to watch because it wasn't just a senseless shoot 'em up gore fest with no meaning behind it so that was good. The special effects were great also, very realistic and very cool. The movie does have some disturbing moments but not that bad for the most part. Anyone who likes movies that involve war should see this movie because it really sets the mood. Even if you've never seen any of Syvester Stallone's other films, there is enough action in Rambo to keep you interested and wanting to see it.

Great Movie
7 February 2008
Warning: Spoilers
"The Silence of the Lambs" is a breathtakingly amazing movie about an FBI agent who is on a mission to find an unknown killer. She is sent to question an insane former doctor, Hannibal Lector for clues that may lead the FBI to finding out more about or where the serial killer may be. "The Silence of the Lambs" is one of the greatest dramatic thrillers I have ever seen, and is definitely the greatest film staring Antony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. The story is excellent and the acting is phenomenal. As you watch the movie you will notice as FBI agent Clarice visits Dr. Lector more often to get further information you will notice that there is a relationship that develops between the two of them, it is actually really quite amazing to see the way they interact with each other as the film unfolds. This movie is a true classic and can not be compared with any other movie in it's genre. This is a very great movie, and that's an understatement.

Phenomenal
10 November 2007
This movie had everything one could ask for to make it a film that is nearly flawless. The story was great, since the film is in fact based on a true story it makes the overall film that much more interesting and unique. Although it was a tad on the long side, there is enough interesting material to keep the viewers watching.

What makes the film so well done is the fact that it is not a copy of anything anybody has already seen before. Although it may seem like it at first, the viewers can take comfort in that fact that they won't have any feelings of Daja Vu. Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe's characters were both very in depth characters, which is good because the viewer may also take comfort in the fact that they will most likely leave the theatre feeling very satisfied without any unanswered questions, thanks to the fact that both the story and the characters were explained very thoroughly. The acting was outstanding, thanks to Russel Crowe and Dezel Washington. The fact that their overall acting performance was phenomenal it may change your whole opinion on the movie for the better.

I have never really been a big fan of movies that are longer then they need to be, but that's just me. However like I said before, there is enough material in here that keeps the movie going, and there's enough that the viewers won't feel that the movie is to repetitive or overdone. This movie is just right for anyone weather it be a fan of action, drama, crime, suspense, or anything of that nature.

Although typically this movie isn't meant to be an action movie, there is plenty of action, which is a good thing because the movie does an excellent job of pulling the action off in a way that is for the better rather then for the worse. Overall, this is a movie that is done right in all areas. Any fan of action, crime, etc, will definitely find this movie worth while and could watch it without having a single regret.

Excellent Movie And Book
24 October 2007
When I first saw this movie sometime ago, It was very difficult to sleep at night. The horrific terror of this film made getting to sleep at night such a chore, (not to mention it scared the hell out of me). Although the acting was done great by the entire cast, Jack Nicholson was in my opinion the lone star of this film. Although he puts on a good horror face you can clearly see that he can be quite the comedian. Some of his expressions are outrageously funny and makes his performance much better with a few laughs thrown in. He makes his character so believable and it is very scary to watch some of the things that his character does. You can tell as Jack gets crazier although it's scary, the more comical he seems to become. Many of Jack Nicholson's unique talents are shown in this specularly splendid performance. He is an unbelievably good actor because you can tell by this movie that he can both take a movie role seriously, and at the same time have fun with it. This movie is absolutely marvellous thanks to the outstanding plot and breathtaking sequences of terror that any horror fan will love to watch.

My Score Is Generous
15 October 2007
This movie didn't just have a completely outrageous story, but it also made me really mad to watch. Ben Stillers character is a complete lowlife who goes and marries some women he barely knew and then dumps her on their honeymoon for another women. There is absolutely nothing funny about it at all, except for maybe the fact that his character would be stupid enough and desperate enough to do this things he did in the film. After discovering that Stillers character was to much of an idiot to tell her that he was already married, she marries someone else. Oh, but wait, about a year later they meet up again and fall in love although Stillers character has but another wife. How cliché huh? This movie although funny from time to time is complete trash that you'd be better off skipping it all together.

Jaws (1975)

A Classic
3 October 2007
Warning: Spoilers
The story of Jaws is nothing more then an average town in New England, as the towns population is preparing themselves for the 4th of July beach celebration and setting up tourist attractions to welcome new comers. However it is discovered that a number of people have fallen pray to an enormous great white shark.

This is Spielberg's first real summer blockbuster. Although he previously directed "Duel" three years earlier back in 1972, this is the movie that really lunched his film making career. Roy Scheider takes the role of the Amity Island police chief, Martin Brody. His attempts to convince the threat of the shark to the Mayor is feeble. However, after a young boy is killed by the deadly ocean predator a reward is offered to the one who has the shark caught/killed.

Brody then teams up with shark expert Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and Quint (Robert Shaw) and head out to hunt the shark. They take Quint's boat "Orka" out as the three of them venture into the open water. Quint was a survivor of the U.S.S Indianapollis back in world war II, and his climactic story is one of the best ever filmed. Jaws is definitely and forever will be a true classic, and one of the best films ever released.

One Of My All Time Favorites
1 October 2007
I love all movies starred by Arnold Swerinagger, but this one is my favourite. This movie has some of the best action I have ever seen and the characters are all great. The plot has a few dozen people from the Merines in a jungle come across an alien creature from another planet. Arnold's acting is top notch and the suspense is sunning and terrific. This is one of the best Sci-Fi movies I have ever seen and will always be one of my favourites. The climactic scene will always be one of the best ever and the movie will never be forgotten as one of Arnold's best films that he has ever starred in. It's follow ups don't even come close to the success of this film. I can safely say that any Sci-Fi fan would find this movie a pleasure.

Billy Madison (1995)

One Of Adam Sandler's Best
1 October 2007
As a comedian, Adam Sandler does great on all of his comedy films but this one will always stand as one of his best most funniest films. The plot is very ridiculous, but in a way that makes it truly hilarious. Billy Madison must go back to school in order to prove that he is responsible and mature enough to take over his fathers hotel business. The fact that Billy is totally incapable of running a hotel, and can be a total idiot at times makes the whole idea of it so funny. All of the other characters are funny in their own unique ways. This movie will always have a special shine as one of the funniest movies of the 90's and one of Sandler's best in his career.

Bravo
30 September 2007
Peter Jackson has always done a good job with his films, and let me proudly say that he has done a great job remaking an all time classic. It has some changes but that actually makes it all the more interesting. All the familiar names of the characters that were from the original are here, as well as a few added characters. All of the key events from the original are here and redone beautifully. The only slight drawback would be the length of the film. Peter made the telling of a simple story a tad on the long side, but all of Peter's other successes such as the Lord Of The Ring Trilogy were a tad on the long side as well and told beautifully, and the same successes go for King Kong. The CGI's look fantastic and very realistic. Like the original, this adventure really takes your imagination on a wild journey of excitement and peril. When you put all those things together you get one heck of a movie that everyone will enjoy watching.

Third Times The Charm
25 September 2007
Resident Evil 3 is the best of the trilogy. Taking place a few years after it's predecessor, it still tells the struggle of the T virus epidemic. With the continuation of the T virus outbreak. The survivors flee raccoon city and are headed to Alaska. However things start to get rough when they reach the Navada desert. The entire nation is nearly consumed by the deadly virus. Umbrella has a secret underground laboratory and zombies are everywhere. This movie has a good combination of action, as well as some good scares here and there. It makes a good action and horror movie, that fans of the first two movies will certainly enjoy watching. There was a great plot, great action, great acting, great scares, this movie had it all, and did a good job at delivering it all in one movie.

Another reason why the franchise should be put to rest
25 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
H20 marks the return of Laurie Strode and Michael is yet again out to kill his sister. This sequel's plot is the closest to the original's, however the film is just uninteresting. The kills are cheap, and Michael's mask looks terrible. This is just another reason why the franchise should just be put to rest, because the instalments just get worse and worse. After part 4 the series just went downhill. This sequel is no exception, and does no justice to the series. It's dull and has next to no entertainment value. Hopefully they won't make any further sequels after Resurecction.

Stupid
24 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Over the years, the Halloween series has had sequel after sequel, and it seems that each sequel gets worse (As one would expect) and this is no exception. The plot is dull and uninteresting as are the characters. There is nothing really all to good to say about it except how bland and boring it is. Tommy Doyle returns from the original and Jamie is killed off within the first 20 minutes. This movie has no entertainment value to offer. It's just another dull sequel that is nothing more then an atrocious trainwreck and should be avoided. Fans of the Halloween franchise are sure to find it to be nothing more then a disappointment and you should expect nothing less.

Crap
24 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Let me start of by say saying how ridiculous the plot is. A group of teenagers spending the night at the Myers house for some strange reason, just in time for Michael to return and kill every one in it. Yup that's the movie for ya. Doesn't it sound great? Oh, and that's not all, the teens apparently have set up cameras everywhere in the house so they can always see what's going on. Oh, wait that's still not all Lourie Strode was killed off in this one. That's right after all those exciting appearances by her it's all gone. The only good thing about this movie was I must admit there was one cool death scene, but besides that it was completely horrible. On top of that it wasn't even that scary in fact not scary at all. A complete disgrace to the series.

Just Doesn't Cut It
24 September 2007
This movie was much more boring then it was exciting. First let me start by saying that the mask in this movie was absolutely horrifying (In a bad way). Most of the actors from part 4 have return which is one of the few redeeming qualities of the film. Michael has come back to Haddonfield to make another attempt at killing his niece Jamie. Whitch is pretty much the same plot as the prequel only this time around it is far more repetitive and boring. The other major reason why this movie was so poor was because of that sad excuse for what they called the Myers house. It looked nothing like the original house and it just didn't fit to the story. It looks more like an old warehouse then what was once someones home. The town didn't even look like Haddonfield. It looked like a town down south. This movie just doesn't fit in with the rest of the series or at least not very good, and it should have just been skipped.

Halloween II (1981)

A Nice Follow Up Of The Original
24 September 2007
:CAUTION: MAY CONTIAN SPOILERS As part II of the series, Halloween II picks up as if it were still the original. I shows the rest of Michael's killing spree on the same night. Besides the fact that Michael's mask has changed and some of the characters from the original seeming to be a little different. It has pretty much the same plot of Michael trying to kill Laurie but it just seems dumbed down. The theme music and such has dumbed down a bit as well, but it's not that bad. Another great performance by Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence as they continue their roles as Laurie Strode and Dr. Loomis. Laurie has been taken to the Haddonfield Momorial Hospital and of course Michael fallows her there with the same motive from the last movie. The story is OK, pretty boring at times but over all it's a pretty good sequel.

What the hell is this?
24 September 2007
I always question the fact of why this film was even made. It had nothing to do with it's predecessors and doesn't at all contribute to the series. Michael Myers is absent in this instalment. Instead the makers got this bright idea to come up with a completely different movie with a stupid, uninteresting plot about masks. The characters are all different and unlikable. The acting was horrible and was almost laughable. (That is if your eyes didn't burn from watching it) This movie shouldn't even be considered part of the Halloween series we've come to know and love. It throws everything that was great about it's predecessors right out the window and into the garbage. Avoid this terrible movie It is not worth yours or anyone else's time.

The Movie That Started It All
17 September 2007
When you look at the difference between older horror films like this and the horror films of today it is really quite amazing. A lot of people don't understand the sophistication of older horror films. It's not all about the blood and gore stuff. It is more likely the fact of the of the suspense and the question "What would you do if you were the victim in that situation?" Most importantly it's about thanking old movies like The Night Of The Living Dead and their creators George Ramaria for bringing a new form of horror to life. The story of it is nothing special but it doesn't need to be. It had plenty of action and scary zombies to keep the person glued to watching it. A lot of the stuff in the movie was never seen before back in the 60's in the form it was given, and making a movie that people aren't familiar with is brilliant. This movie will always be up there in the top with all the other classic horror movies. It will be a movie always remembered as the movie that started a whole new form of horror.

So Happy Together
14 September 2007
I remember back in 1999 when this game was just released. It sure was a big hit and copies were sold left and right. This game was revolutionary and it brought so much life back to the dying Nintendo 64. Super Smash Brothers isn't really famous for it's 1 Player mode but more then makes up for it with it's endlessly fun multiplayer mode which you and up to 3 other friends can enjoy playing for hours on end. It's an excellent party game that you may never get tired of. On top of that Nintendo has clashed all their top hero icons together in a tournament. Featuring characters such as Fox, Samus, Link, and more. There are 4 secret characters which need to be unlocked as well as an unlockable multiplayer arena. Each character has his or her signature moves from passed games. This is the best miltiplayer game on the Nintendo 64. There is enough replay value to keep the game interesting for quite a while.

Second Best In The Series Behind The Original
1 September 2007
I read many reviews on this movie. The mixed feelings people had on it kind of worried me. However I was very pleased when I left the theatre. It had somewhat of a creepy atmosphere to it and the acting was OK as well. The only problem I had with this movie would be that it was a little slow paced and was a little longer then it needed to be. Some might complain about the dialogue having to much profanity, but I don't agree with that. Most people talk like that in everyday life nowadays so I'm not going to hold that against Zombie. There was some corny dialogue though, such when Lourie said "Was That The Boogyman?" was just laughable along with some other dialogue and some bad acting at times. It was In my opinion one of the more decent remakes compared to many other trainwreck horror remakes that have leaked into theatres over the years, but this was actually decent.
