Ted Lasso (2020)
PURE GOLD!
Having started with slight reluctance, because I don't enjoy sport shows, I found to my amazement that I was totally awestruck with the positivity this show brings in. I was so involved that I found myself laughing out loud, clapping my hands, rooting for Richmond and getting misty eyed.
Lasso's character brought a warmth which I still feel enveloped in. Just as Lasso does, Rebecca' s ulterior motive can be forgiven. However I am eagerly waiting for the self centered Rupert to be brought to justice.
Great show to renew hope in these distressing times.
The Serpent (2021)
Very watchable
I started watching this unwillingly, but was caught up in it and had to watch it to the end. It is gripping even if the sheer villany of the lead character is makes for a discomforting watch.
Being an Indian , I had read a number of reports and stories about Sobhraj. What I gathered from them was the impression that he had a very charming manner which he used successfully to lure his victims. In my opinion, the lead actor failed completely in portraying Sobhraj's character. His expression is deadpan and unchanging throughout. After all to have numerous strangers trusting him, he must have inspired confidence in them at first sight!
Since I cannot distinguish European accents, the series did not annoy me in that aspect, as it did many viewers.
The changing timeline stops bothering you once you have watched two or three episodes.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
What does it mean?
I may be obtuse, but will please somebody explain, is there a purpose to this movie?
