Men (2022)
An awesome creepy idea which ultimately dissappoints.
The idea is absolutely awesome and genuinely creepy, and you'll see it instantly in the trailer. However, the movie lacks cohesion in theme and seems unable to decide whether it wants to make some sense or none at all, and ends up failing at both.
That being said the final scene is one of the most gobsmacking and disturbing things I've seen on film.
Nightmare at Noon (1988)
Really awesome potential
This movie starts off brilliantly. The first act is suspenseful and mysterious and I was actually really surprised. However the later bits turn into generic B-action shlock. Would still recommend. Hey hollywod remake this.
Talons of the Eagle (1992)
Some funny bad moments but dull fighting
Pretty passable overall, some of the bad acting is funny and some of your standard schlocky B-movie stuff is too. However the fighting is for the most part a bit dull and feels slow, and is shot so it's obvious that stuff doesn't connect. It' also felt like certain parts had been cut out?
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
I thought it was pretty good...
If you read the other reviews on here you'd think that this episode was an absolute shambles but it isn't. Its really good. I don't understand the hate.
Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
Animal cruelty rends any point this film was trying to make utterly worthless
I don't have a problem with the excessive violence if it's acted, but the cruelty to animals is entirely unnecessary, and the filmmakers were clearly ignorant to the irony of their "white people are bad, aren't we good to point that out?" message. Any value that was here, perhaps in being one of the first films to use found footage, is made null and void - though it must be said there was almost no value here to begin with. It's a dull film with stupid writing and bad acting. Don't bother.
