have a beer and cheap wine

Two boys (grown men in their 30's) are wanting an escape from their quiet lives in Cape Breton. They make a long journey riding in Joey's (Paul Bradley) car to Toronto. Pete McGraw (McGrath) knows of a relative living there. Having a preconceived notion he'll get to stay for free, not even thinking of writing out a letter first. Oh! learning the hard way is never good.

the locales that were used at the time 1969-1970 are all genuine. hostels, High rises, Wilson's Ginger Ale Factory, bowling alleys, TTC trains. Scarborough Bluffs, Sam the Record man (yep the same one at Dundas and Yonge St).

The tone throughout the movie is upbeat and at times melancholy. The viewer ends up or at least attempts to feel the emotions of the two friends who inevitably hit a crossroads with their friendship and lives.

#3 for a reason
3 April 2015
The Alexander brothers are nearly going to kill each other... both are trained fighters with different personalities. Their semi-retired CIA dad stubbornly wants another crack at putting some Terrorists away for life. The patriarch about to have his 65th birthday and only chance at any intervention with the two sons.

Loren Avedon as the younger brother Will Alexander demonstrates some of his signature KICKS,SWEEPS, and FLIPS. He is a Martial Art Instructor by day and a vigilante by leisure. Keith Vitalli as Casey Alexander plays the overly domineering and arrogant older sibling. He has got into his dad's profession which his bro Will has no interest for. The dad played by Joseph Cappanelli (sorry about the spelling) is oblivious of the foreboding drama.

The brothers ultimately have to pursue the Terrorists but they take different paths to find them. The Lead Terrorist Franco is heavily guarded by dozens of armed men. He even has a right hand man Russo.

Franco uses Will after successfully joining forces. Now under his corny new alias Jesse Roby he kills his CIA brother or does he? Franco meets rogue CIA Agent Atteron (Luke Askew) who basically spoils Will's cover. Franco captures Casey Alexander and threatens to kill him if Will Doesn't do what he says.

The finally has some fast paced martial art choreographed scenes. Franco is maybe the most badass villain in martial art movie history with his brutal moves.

I like this
29 January 2015
I like Ivan Reitman movies like the first Meatballs(Bill Murray),Ghostbusters(Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson). This one is not very well known but it is still worth a viewing with some friends on a snow day.Yes, there is a Warning Bell for the those with weak stomachs for certain scenes.

Eugene Levy has a main role which he does a great job same with Andrea Martin. They play a young couple. Levy plays as a Big City-Hippy type. Martin plays the ditsy girlfriend role. The supporting cast are lesser known actors and actresses. There are some twists in the latter part of the movie. The bias that the Metre De has about smokers' blood being unacceptable for the circulation. The speculation the Sheriff and Doctor are in cahoots with the Metre De. the three girls who have a taste for fresh meat and their deformed homebody Bunker watch out for them.

Arachnophobia (1990)

laugh and clap
7 May 2014
Arachnophobia like a reviewer once said is a 'rollercoaster ride from start to finish'. Which it basically is to the viewer.

A bungling photographer Jerry Manley is a part of an expedition lead by Atherton Julian Sands(Warlock). The party flies by helicopter over mountainous terrain that has a dip thousands of feet below. Down below is amazon like rain forests. The latter has an agenda to collect unknown butterflies and spiders. After collecting a assortment of insects they get a rare find and more. A place they had entered was probably better off untouched considering what trouble awaits.

A bunch of isolated deaths occur in a small town of Canima. A doctor Ross Jennings just recently arrived gets a bad rep. He also loses his only patient Margaret. It's not long that he is against time to stop a deadly spider infestation. He gets a spider expert Collins' who works for Dr. Atherton to check out some so-called spider bites in the morgue. Atherton is studying a new spider species that has workers' or drones' like Bees and ants. Atherton finds out the new spiders are related to the ones responsible for the deaths.

Nice scares. As someone who has seen spider movies before Kingdom of the Spiders 1977 starring William Shatner, Eight Legged Freaks well some of it. I recommend it to people who like suspenseful plots with spiders as the prime antagonists.

Old Guilty Pleasure
22 May 2013
This movie i caught by accident back in 1990. This movie has got a kick-ass soundtrack for its fight montages and opening scenes. The acting as most reviewers have said is quite poor but hey! that's not what matters. It's got to be the awesome moves achieved by the protagonist and nemesis that make it watchable.

The main actor is a cop who has a wild side. He is very cocky but gets the job done and will take any kudos his way. Part of his personality may be due to his troubled past that never was resolved. He goes to Thailand to pose as a fighter. This being the only way fit to find the filmmakers. Who are responsible for the making and distributing of snuff movies. The risk is very high since the star in the movies is a murderer in the films. This makes the cop-turned-fighter even more motivated but he still lacks the proper skills to fight Khan (Billy Blanks).

Jake(Loren Avedon) learns his ego won't get him very far with his true goals. Knowing this he must train very hard with a man who knows a thing or two about Khan's strengths. Also may have the mind set and right tools to beat him. The man goes by the name Prang. He is played by (Keith Cooke). Prang is touted as a Master fighter by locals. He is also in hiding. He has a funny way of initiating young Jake. They become friends and prepare Jake for Khan.

You'll also notice things like Prang looks barely 22 and Jake looks not much older. Khan looks like he's around 27. It's a 90's Martial Art movie so it is not meant to be taken seriously.

great stuff
20 February 2013
Anna Nicole was nearly at her peak stardom when this was released. she was in a great place in her life when she appeared in all 70+ mins. of this. Anyone who wants to see Anna in the nude will love this. Nice montage of Anna as well. Her curvaceous body looks great.Anna resembles 50's blonde Jane Mansfield as she should.Anna gets intimate and doesn't hold back to her viewers.Great sets! this is a personal favourite movie. Her acting career didn't go as well as she liked with film flops like the straight-to-video To the Limit and Skyscraper. She also had small parts in Hudsucker Proxy and Nsked Gun with Leslie Nielsen. This was evidently a booming time for Anna Nicole and before she got fat.

Wasted my money and time

My father and I just came back from seeing this turd of a movie. Didn't laugh or smirk once. Sasha Baron Cohen how could you do this to a movie. Bruno was less ridiculous than this movie. Don't go to this thinking it will be as good or better than Borat or Bruno because it just fails. Go to the Avengers instead of seeing this garbage.

The cameos made by Anna Faris and Sir Ben Kingsley just don't even matter. This movie is so sub par on so many levels. I don't care if i'm sounding bias. It was just stupid to have to sit through. The comedy i was just not feeling and that's very sad. I think the humour was overly crude even for Sasha Cohen standards.

The Bigger the Better (1984 Video)
Oucch!
6 December 2011
This title has a lot of good to be said. Good 80's Gay pre-condom era mixed with some fiasco. It is mostly a Wet Dream come to life at least the first scene with a teacher and student. Matt Ramsey( aka. Peter North) is a Prep-School teacher who relives his amusing antics as a teacher behind closed doors (school doors in this case).that's putting it very subtly! The Director Sterling liked the idea of the main character Ramsey enough to have him be the narrator throughout the movie. Matt Ramsey appears again in the following scene which is also his last on screen. Gratuitous Southern California Condo ALERT. the Directors property? perhaps.

Let's just say Mr. Ramsey is popular with some of his students. The pairings are good throughout and shouldn't disappoint.

One actor worth mentioning Matt Ramsey's younger bro who plays a college guy. He may very well have the best body of anybody in this whole movie including Peter North. it's that impressive.
