Knuckles (2024)
Absolutely off the wall and BRILLIANT
Literally everything you love about the movies and more! I went into this loving the first two movies and was pleasantly surprised it was way more than I thought it would be! The opening set up is great as it switches tracks from Sonic and Tails to Knuckles and Wade. And Wade just steals the show! In a shockingly GOOD way. Dont get me wrong Knuckles is still a great lead and partner but Wades goofy character and humor adds such a contrasting balance. It's absolutely brilliant in every way. The middle episodes are so off the wall and so completely different than what you'd expect. And it puts this show so far above and beyond everything else! I honestly thought it would be a cliche odd buddy cop comedy with the big bad man wants knuckles power and blah blah 6 episodes of chasing scenes. SNORE! Its the complete opposite! And its so fresh and original and SO much fun to watch! The main bad guy hardly makes an appearance which is just done in a fantastic smart way! AMAZING cast of characters each adding their own brilliance on screen. Cant wait to rewatch the series several times! Can only hope Paramount rethinks their original plan and adds more seasons!!! 11/10 MUST WATCH!
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (2023)
Did people really not know this is for kids???
Its Star Wars for KIDS! As a HUGE star Wars fan for over 40 years Im always looking for ways to get my younger kids into it. Clone Wars and Rebels are absolutely fantastic but are still essentially adult continuations of the films. Some of the adult themes and stories can be hard for them to follow. Thankfully THIS show came around for my youngest kiddos! It's THROUGHLY enjoyable for adults and thank goodness it's not complete cringe, like so many other "for little kids" shows out there. This show is just great all around. Its cute enough for the kids to enjoy it and follow but not so dumbed down to be annoying and unwatchable. And the best part of all is it FEELS Star Wars! Absolutely recommend even if you dont have kids!
Idiocracy (2006)
If you watch only one movie in your life...
...Make it this one! The comedy that is slowly becoming a documentary! This movie used to be uproariously hilarious! Now its almost sad and depressing how accurately it's depicting society declining into stupidity! Anti-vaxxers, flat earthers, social media 'stars' that are only famous because theyre pretty and as absent minded as a bucket of feces.
The movies epilogue alone might be the most insightful and honest explanation of current human evolution to date!
This is the movie that made me never want to have kids! Especially with the pandemic. For the first time in human history, most of humanity has willingly and gladly rejected science and logic... and blindly just followed the biggest uneducated idiots on social media are blabbing because they famous.
Idiocracy? We are well on our way!
R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned (2022)
Ignore the rotten tomatoes hipsters
I loved the original RIPD. I was so excited to learn about this one! Obviously a little upset it was a major studio film or a theatrical release or didnt have any of the original big name actors. But OMG who cares?! THIS was RIPD! I loved everything about it! The new Roy feels just as witty, funny, dry, and sarcastic as Jeff in the original film. I like the new dynamic of his new partner/mentor. I love how the movie doesnt waste time with exposition or making this long winded plot and character development foundation. It just assumes youre a fan of the original, have actually seen the original, and just jumps right in and runs! And if you haven't its STILL a fantastic movie!
Above all else ITS ORIGINAL AND DIFFERENT. And omg popular social opinion forbid: just plain FUN! Hollywood has just been ruined by playing safe and making the same 3 or 5 cliche movie types over and over AND OVER. And all these millennial hipsters will rant and rave over being fed the same unoriginal crap because theyre told to.
Break the mold. Enjoy RIPD2 and enjoy something completely FUN, ENTERTAINING, and FRESH!!!
10/10 because it was such a fun ride!
Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010)
The first MST3K movie Ive EVER had to stop watching.
Just wow. Ive seen some bad BAD movies from the guys at MST3K and Rifftrax guys. Like movies Ive had to step back and remind myself they were shockingly made as serious film entries. Movies thats are beyond dumb, incoherent, laughably terrible. But THIS. WOW. Takes it to a whole other level. I literally had to turn it off because I felt myself getting dumber. And thats WITH the humorous Rifftrax commentary! I just cant! I actually have to watch it in parts because my brain cant comprehend someone actually thought this was a worthy idea. Easily the absolute worst "movie" to literally ever be made!
L'ultimo squalo (1981)
Made barely watchable by the MST3K guys!
One of the worst movies ever made! A blatant Jaws ripoff that is just a convoluted mess of random scraps! A laughable cacophony of horrible acting, ridiculous scenes, and incoherent editing! Laughing at this disastrous joke of cinema listening to the guys from MST3K on Rifftrax, I actually have to step back occasionally and remember this was released as a legit film! XD Worth the laughs and ridicule it deserves if you can catch the Rifftrax!
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Omg can we take the internet away from hipsters and millennials 🙄
Absolutely FANTASTIC series. Just ignore the woke "fan" wannabes, who have probably never even seen the original films much less were even THERE when they came out... This series is a beautiful addition to the Star Wars universe. Wonderfully and intricately adds SO much back story to the events just prior to A New Hope. Greatly benefits and adds to the lore and expands the universe like Rebels and the other live action shows so far! So excited to see what comes next! Amazing job and execution by the cast and crew!
First Sunday (2008)
Omg you hipster haters. S. T. F. U!
This was a goofy sweet comedy. 2 guys down on their luck try to rob a church and everything goes wrong. Its a simple movie thats fun and entertaining. THATS WHAT MOVIES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. Theres a part where I actually cried. Very heart warming ending even if it isnt a bug surprise. Definitely worth a watch.
Elementary (2012)
The Will Ferrel movie was smarter.
My wife watches this show and it's probably one of the most brainless shows Ive ever seen trying so desperately to be smart. The "crimes" are completely absurd, idiotic, and usually laughable. If you passed high school science class with even a moderate grade you'll recognize how ridiculous the set ups and clues are. A completely jumbled mess of ridiculous random ideas equivalent to a game of Mad Libs crime edition. Sherlock is so ridiculous hes downright stupid and unlikable. Hes so "smart" it's idiotic. Hes just an expert in literally anything and everything. Doesnt matter what is happening hes just an expert in it. Its so absurd its so completely unbelievable. Watson is just there. Literally just there for forced exposition and to move the plot along. Poor Lucy looks so annoyed and miserable all the time. A mannequin would be more life like and enjoyable to watch. Everything else about the show is just so generic and tedious.
Big Trouble (2002)
Hilariously brilliant!
I think this was one of the first movies to introduce the brilliant multiple interwoven story line structure. So few movies come even close to being as smart and enjoyable. On top of all the is the recurring comedy themes. Completely brilliant and original. Amazing cast that is so fun and have so much chemistry with each other. The Fifth Element is the only other movie I can think of that comes even close to this level of original creative brilliance and wit!
Wheels of Fortune (2020)
Giving a 10 because it deserves more hype!
Was just something random I saw on Netflix. Read the description and decided to watch. Was not disappointed! Great goofy and lovable characters. Great story. Great ending. Was pleasantly surprised what a good movie this was!
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
The perfect reboot sequel!
Id give this an 11/10 if it went that high. Grew up with the originals. Wore out the 10 disc ultimate collection. Went into this blind and was completely blown away. Decades of god awful reboots, sequels, and terrible cash grabs this was such a refreshing update! Everything felt so new yet so familiar. You completely feel like Neo. Confused and dazed in the beginning and them everything is so brilliantly and expertly revealed and expanded. On the edge of my seat and completely absorbed from start to finish. Best movie Ive seen in probably 10+ years! Really hope they continue the story! Worth the ~20 year wait!
Game Over, Man! (2018)
Stupid and disgusting
But what would you expect from a movie about a bunch of moronic bumbling potheads. The only reason the plot advances at all is because of an endless sting of impossible coincidences. Literally the only people who think this garbage is any good are said doped up burger flipping potheads. Couldve been funny, had the main characters not been such nobodies. But I guess thats what makes it so relatable to the millennial audience this was intended for.
Dennis the Menace (1993)
That timeless 90s campiness!
Watched this with my kids for the first time since I was their age! We all loved it. Its fun. Its entertaining. Its cheesy. Its great! Watching this as a parent brings it into a whole new light! And the cast alone is top notch. Walter Mattau teaming up with Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson is brilliant!
Hubie Halloween (2020)
Giving it a 10 because it deserves some love!
Im totally loving these Sandler/James Netflix movies! Like the Ridiculous 6 its just a fun goofy laugh out loud comedy fest! Completely original and fresh! Hits just right. Not too ridiculous and not too serious. Just laughed and felt good all the way through! I love the character of poor Hubie! Really hope they keep making these!
The Adventures of Pluto Nash (2002)
Why I hate movie critics
This movie, like Battlefield Earth and Speedracer are just unfortunate victims of groupthink stupidity. One idiot says its bad on their sad little blog and every other critic wannabe just hops on board and slams it for no reason. I missed seeing this in theaters because I only heard how bad it was. I saw it years later on tv and loved it! Its FRESH and ORIGINAL and FUNNY. I completely loathe critics now. Especially these days when the brain dead lemmings will rant and rave about the stupidest crap (like some dumbass muscle heads strapping rockets to a car and going into space, or a bunch of lame cgi super heros jumping around in slow motion). Its why movies these days just suck!
The Mummy (2017)
Wildly entertaining. The hate is just WRONG!
Dont understand the hate this movie got at ALL! Its completely wrong and undeserved. This movie was wildly dark, entertaining, and witty with a fresh sense of adventure. Atmosphere and cinematography is completely gripping and engaging. The characters are so likable and fun. The "Mummy" design is wickedly gorgeous. The pacing is a perfect blend of action and suspense highlighted with clever and cheeky laugh out loud quips and moments. Feels right on par with the classic Indian Jones trilogy and the 90s Mummy movies. Watch it for yourself and you wont be disappointed!
Sextuplets (2019)
Fresh, original, sweet, and funny as hell!
A great original take on the finding family theme. This film is hilarious. I legitimately laughed out loud quite a few times throughout the whole movie. Marlon Wayans again never fails to disappoint. He plays such a comedic array of unique and characters in this. The film also has some really sweet moments. The only thing I didnt like was that this film wasnt longer! I would've loved to have seen more of the characters explored and expanded!
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
Season 1 was pretty good. Season 2 was garbage.
Season 1 had mostly good episodes. Lot of interesting stories, originality, and different animation styles. Season 2 was just garbage. Almost every episode was just a flashy cgi tech demo of how realistic looking they could make their characters. The stories were stale and cliche. The characters are forgettable and the dialogue is just cringe. Having just watched Castlevania season 4 probably set the quality bar way to high. Just watch that instead!
Rollergator (1996)
Wow. Just WOW. The worst "movie" ever made. Honestly.
Quite literally the worst movie ever made. In every sense of the phrase. Every single thing is just the complete worst. Feels like a middle school weekend project where the students got to borrow the librarys VHS camcorder. It's hilarious this actually qualifies as a "movie". Kids make far higher end productions on social media! A must see to see the literal absolute very bottom of the barrel. Watch the Rifftrax version as the original cut has probably never been seen for more than 5 minutes.
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Rainbow Rocks (2014)
The most perfect movie ever made
Obviously ALL of Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls is perfect. Rainbow Rocks is something else. The music, the characters, the flow, the style, the cinematography. Ive literally seen it at least a thousand times. Not a figure of speech. I mean literally at least a THOUSAND. I watch it to get me pumped as I get ready for work. I watch it doing stuff around the house. It never gets old. I sing I laugh I cry like the first time I saw it. Just like the rest of all of FiM amd EGs. The best thing Ive ever seen in 2 decades. And I think most everything made these days is absolute garbage! Lazy stupid writing that tries (and succeeds with most of social idiocy) distract you with flash cgi. The irony that such a simple show could put hundreds of MILLION dollar productions to shame! Im so glad I have my little pony a chance! It totally changed my life!
Mystery Science Theater 3000 (2017)
Great and faithful continuation of the original!
I grew up watching MST3K. I remember staying up late and watching the show with my parents. I was completely psyched when they rebooted the show! It has a fresh new cast and the spirit is perfectly captured! The old cast returns for hilarious cameos. Kinga, Max, Jonah and the robots are smart, whitty, and clever. By Season 2 every episode had me laughing so hard I literally had a sore throat. This is a GREAT UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL show! Nothing else compares!
Castlevania (2017)
Beautifully and Brutally Raw and Loyal
Its SO perfectly satisfying when a studio actually pays respect to a franchise. You can tell immediately the creators actually PLAYED the games and KNOW the lore. Its the most loyal and well done adaptation since the Original Mortal Kombat movie.
The dialogue is raw and REAL. Its not candy coated PC garbage like just about everything else these days. The characters feel real and relatable. Just what you'd imagine theyd be like playing the games in the 90s. The vampires especially are vicious and raw. They are actually VAMPIRES. Theyre not pathetic little pansy stereotypes like youve seen and been disappointed in a million times before.
I the story is retold impeccably yet remains original and fresh. I love how the church is rightfully villainized making Draculas motivation relatable. Its not just terrible lazy writing and just "hes bad. Hes evil. Hes the bad guy. So he does evil things because the plot says so". SNORE.
Every other studio should wake up and pay attention! THIS is how you cash in on a franchise. Being loyal to the source material, franchise, and most importantly THE FANS.
Bravo Netflix and thank you!
Mile 22 (2018)
Have IQs suddenly dropped?
This movie is a sad testament to the sheer dumbing down of the modern day movie goers. First and foremost I had absolutely NO interest in seeing this movie. We were planning on MI:Fallout but the showing canceled. So we decided on this. I was BLOWN. AWAY. our other option was Meg (titled because its been stated by the director that the typical person is too stupid tonknow what Megalodon was/is).
So Mile 22. Wont waste time on the back story. Watch the trailer. I thought it would be a cheap cliche one man fights an army garbage. I was SO wrong. Its a very smart politicial/government/military ops extraction story. Sounds simple enough but the story adds well placed compilations and a minor human side (with out being numbingly cliche).
I just dont get the bad reviews. Cliche garbage like supr hero movies and even meg get glowing rave reviews and this gets trashed!? I think people just werent paying attention or where expecting an idiotic "many bad guys BAD. lots of bullets shooting at good guys! EXPLOSIONS! Good guy wins!" Or maybe a cheap CGI slow motion cars flipping all over. No. None of that sorry. Just a complex guard and extraction scenario that kept me well enerertained, engrossed, and didnt treat me like an idiot. Also the movie is narrated from a FLASHBACK/RECALL point of view. I think people were thoroughly confused not being able to follow the very well executed editing and narratives (its rather simple if youre smarter than a 5th grader....). I typically HATE quick cuts seldom lasting longer than 2 seconds and shaky cam. Despise more than hate. But I was amazed how well executed the cinematography was. It worked so well!
The characters are very quickly and well established with out ever feeling like one was just thrown in or no characters you couldnt care about.
Literally my ONLY complaint was the use of shaky cam and quick cuts during the fight sequences. It matches the rest of the directorial direction but longer teackong shots wouldve been better in my option.
