Stunning to look at. Horrible to listen to.

What a let down. If this was a TV mini series from the 80s then I'd understand.

Understand what you say? Ok here it is. The dialogue in this movie is painfully condescending. It's like they have to explain to the watcher what is going on in detail. Which takes you out of the movie.

The Actors look like actors who are at a dress rehearsal. It feels like acting. There's no immersion into the events which are happening.

And did we really need to see Croz thow up all the time and smother everyone with vomit?

Anyway it feels corny as hell so far. I just hope the dialogue improves and we can connect with the characters.

Yeah, nah

Dog's breakfast of a movie. It was allover the shop. It feels like they only shot half the movie and just stitched it together. Out of all the movies this year this is one of them.

Maybe an 8 part tv series would have been better spent on this. It needed more background and detail. And Joaquin was terrible as Boney.

With such a grand focus on historical events, the film falls short in terms of character development. Viewers may struggle to connect with the characters on a personal level, making it harder to invest emotionally in the story.

There are also inaccuracies and creative liberties taken that the film sacrifices accuracy for the sake of dramatic storytelling.

A Tedious Rehash of the Same Old Formula
17 November 2023
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is a disappointing addition to the iconic franchise, delivering a lackluster experience that can be succinctly described as both boring and a rehash of the same old stuff we've seen countless times before.

From the opening scenes to the final credits, the film fails to inject any fresh energy into the Mission: Impossible universe. Instead, it relies heavily on tired tropes and predictable plot devices that have become all too familiar in the series. It's as if the filmmakers took a checklist of successful elements from the previous movies and mechanically reproduced them without any attempt at innovation or creativity.

The narrative, which should be the driving force of any action-packed spy thriller, is painfully unoriginal. The plot unfolds in a predictable manner, with clichéd twists and turns that do little to engage or surprise the audience. The attempt to build suspense falls flat, as the storyline lacks depth and fails to provide any meaningful stakes for the characters.

Despite a star-studded cast led by Tom Cruise, the performances feel uninspired, as if the actors themselves are aware they're going through the motions of a tired script. Even Cruise's charismatic presence can't salvage the film from its own mediocrity. The chemistry between the characters, a crucial aspect of the franchise, feels forced and lacks the genuine camaraderie that made earlier installments enjoyable.

The action sequences, once the hallmark of Mission: Impossible, are surprisingly decent. While there are moments of intensity, they are overshadowed by the sense of déjà vu that permeates every frame. It's evident that the filmmakers relied on the formula that worked in the past, neglecting the opportunity to push the boundaries and offer audiences something new and exhilarating.

In summing up, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is a prime example of a franchise resting on its laurels. It fails to deliver the excitement and innovation that fans expect, offering instead a tedious and formulaic experience. If you're seeking a thrilling and fresh take on the Mission: Impossible series, look elsewhere, because this installment is just the same old stuff.

Great Show Cut Short. Time to remake it.
25 December 2022
What a great show this was. I was hooked from the beginning.

Then the writers strike hit and left the show in limbo. The Network decided to cancel it the next year. And it was the worst mistake they made. It had great potential with an endless possibilities to explore. I mean time itself is endless.

I suppose it was up against similar shows that were on at that time but there were worse shows floating around too.

I really think they could remake this into a mini series today. We need another Time Traveler show.,

I'll have to revisit the show again after 15yrs jut to be sure that I was correct.

Great Show full of sparks

So refreshing to see this from a new perspective. It's the future of travel the electric vehicle. It was a change from the old petrol vehicle breaking down every few days. It was a treat to see all these South American countries and their beautiful people without all the western media sterotypes laid on.

Also a great way to test these prototypes out.

Excellent Show

Loved this show. Each episode was intriguing. It was a Cop thriller that kept the supernatural aspect of it at arms length. Maybe 8 or 9 episodes would have been better just to tighten the pacing up a bit. Worth a look.

Over Hyped!

Don't believe the hype. This a a good movie don't get me wrong. It's well made and keeps you interested for most of it. But it completely unravels in the ending where it just seemed rushed to finish it. It reminded me of Game of Thrones where they didn't know how to wrap it up.
