No Evil (2012)
Engaging Art
Give this series a chance. It is cute and quirky as you get to know the characters. Episode 9 is when the central problem is revealed. And if episode 10 doesn't give you chills by the end, then the series is probably not for you.
The series constantly references various mythologies, most heavily relying on north and south American indigenous folk tales, but the series will borrow from Norse mythology from time to time as well. You don't need to know your way around these mythologies to understand the series, but it can be fun trying to guess where the series is going based on knowing various mythological stories.
Turning on CC helps with some dialog. Youtube comments, questions and answers provides a lot of background.
BTW, the first episode is based on an Aesop's Fable.
