RIDE: A Brutal Fairytale (2022)
WOW, What a Doco!!!
This is the most impressive documentary I have ever watched, and I do remember that time when the tragic news was broadcast on tv about Sam Willoughby's accident.
This is and was a tragic tale of total commitment to a sport that was taken away so abruptly, especially after such a long and arduous journey to get where he was.
Sam, you are a true hero and a living legend, not only to the BMX racing sport, but also to the total inspiring effort and commitment you continue to give to never giving up!
Everyone has their ups and downs in life, that is why we are human, and you had your fair share as well, but to inspire yourself and get those wheels turning again after the accident, is a fantastic effort and so deserving.
I am totally blown away by your attitude and how you have grown both physically and mentally, and how now, you are inspiring so many individuals in all areas of sports and lifestyles, both young and old, and not only from people who may feel that they have a disadvantage in life!
I am also impressed with Alise, who was your backbone from beginning to end, who gave you the love and support from the moment you met, right through to this very day and never gave up.
Alise was and is still a great athlete. She has had a fantastic career, and has also had total commitment to her time in BMX racing. Both of you were meant for each other, and everyone could see the love and addiction to help and support each other throughout your careers.
The same also goes to your families and close friends who stood by you and Alise through thick and thin, and truly supported every single thing you both had done, right through to this very day!
I thoroughly enjoyed this Doco, and wish all of you the very best and happiness, which you truly deserve and have earned!! Thankyou!

Cringe Worthy!!
I'm sorry, I just sat through this cringe worthy movie, as I had to see how it ended. The ending or the look on the daughter's face told me how it was supposed to end, "serious".
There was nothing funny, or actually any comedy in this movie, just uncomfortable cringe worthy scenes between each meeting scenario, father and daughter, daughter and bosses, daughter and secretary etc...
I really don't know why his daughter just didn't tell her father to stay away from her during the time she had her work meetings and arrange time to see him elsewhere.
All in all, I found the father an idiot, who never grew up and treated his daughter as if she was still a child. While his daughter grew up as expected, "serious".
One viewing was enough for me!

One of the Best Horse Racing movies ever!
Well, what can I say??? I would have to rate this movie as good as the brilliant movie Phar Lap!
From Phar Lap to Seabiscuit to Secretariat, to even the movie Let It Ride (about that one day day in a million, that you win at the races - but please, gamble responsibly :-)), all brilliant must see movies. Only this movie has a little bit more, as it begins the incredible journey for Jim (Jimmy) Cassidy, who went on to become one of the world's most successful jockey's, and the third jockey to win 100 Group One races, as well as inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame.
Plus you cannot forget the plight of Dianne Moseley, who became the first female jockey to win a Group One race in Australia, and paved the way for all female jockey's, and still remains a pioneer in horse racing to-date.
Yes, I do recommend this movie to any horse racing buff, or to anyone who just loves a good inspiring story!!
Do Not Hesitate (2021)
Hesitation and complacency could cost Lives!
The brutality of war can come in different forms, and while I personally have never been in the armed services, I have certainly taken charge and looked after my teammates. I liked the direction of this movie and where it was headed. It shows that if a person is thrown into the spotlight, what are the right decisions to make and not only for yourself, but for the safety of your team. Even though their wasn't any explicit violence or actual war, it shows us that if circumstances or events suddenly happen, or are thrust upon us, then how would we react. There were times when I was getting frustrated and annoyed on the slow reactions, but I believe this is what the director wanted, as to really draw the viewer in, and this is what makes a good movie. I really did enjoy the movie as a whole, and as always, this movie shows us that you don't have to be on the frontline for it to affect one's mind. I recommend it.
