BYU TV joins the ranks of audience haters
10 May 2018
BYUTV cancelled this excellent show on a cliff hanger, telling us that they would explain why, but didn't bother. Another shabby treatment of viewers by a network. I would expect this from SyFy, but not a tiny network like BYUTV which needs all the viewers it can get. Shame on you!

An essential documentary ruined by bad audio
15 May 2017
I would give this very important documentary a nine, except it's unwatchable because loud really bad rap music is played over conversation. What a shame. I really hope the makers release another version without the distraction overlaying spoken word. The info in this is too important to turn people off.

Warning: Spoilers
This documentary about preaching to kids manages to deliver without preaching to its audience. Others have explained the subject matter well enough, so I won't go down that road again. I just have to mention a few good quotes:

*** Spoiler Alert ***

During her call-in to Mike Papantonio's radio show, Becky Fischer said "I'm not going after my kids politically." Yet she has the kids give blessings, speak in tongues, and shout "Mr. President, One Nation Under God" to a cardboard cutout of Bush.

About democracy, she says it's "ultimately designed to destroy itself, because we have to give everyone equal freedom, and ultimately that's going to destroy us."

Everyone's favourite role model, Ted Haggard, head of an Evangelical organization of 30 million Americans, makes an appearance, preaching that "We don't have to debate what we think about homosexual activity, it's written in the bible." Then he looks at the camera, points his finger, and says, "I think I know what you did last night. If you send me a thousand dollars, I won't tell your wife." This generates big laughs with his congregation. Until he was kicked out of his church for doing meth and fornicating with men, he had meetings with Bush and his staff every Monday.

Creeped out yet? I'm glad I'm not American, but I'm saddened that I live next door to these freaks...

A small but revealing introduction to the state of elections in the U.S.
5 November 2006
This timely HBO production should be required viewing for all voters. It shows irrefutable proof of vote tampering in past elections, as well as serious flaws in the machines being used to count votes in upcoming elections - including Nov. 7th, 2006.

Since the subject matter is so huge, trying to cover it all in the time allotted would be impossible. However, the producers decided to concentrate on the activities of just one group of many exposing election fraud - Bev Harris from BlackBoxVoting

The U.S. needs more people like Bev. Many more. Now. Without the vote, you have nothing but a dictatorship.
