A Match Made at Christmas (2021)
Was everyone supposed to be unlikeable?
I actually didn't mind Holly. The brother was mad at her that she finally piped up about wanting to pursue her own dreams cause they interfered with his.....uhhhh. The main guy/love interest was so mean and narcissistic and rude. Like holy crap dude. The best friend was so mad at Holy for taking over everything but she's the maid of honor and was asked to do all the planning. And when Holly would bring up the most basic of things that needed to be done for the wedding (not paying $1000 over budget for a wedding dress, getting invitations mailed, etc...) the bride would whine and moan about it all and then finally had a melt down. Is there anything redeeming about this movie? I don't know cause there's still a half hour left for me to watch. Maybe Holly will skip out on the wedding and decide to leave town and never come back. That would make this better.
Christmas Harmony (2018)
Here for the music
As far as the formula goes, nothing new here. I do like the leads, they have good chemistry. The songs are so good though. I'm not usually a fan of movies with any kind of singing but wow these songs (and singers) are so good that I've been listening to them on repeat (youtube, Amazon Prime) Cathedral Heart has definitely captured my heart :-)
Romance in the Air (2020)
Yikes
I don't know what happened with this one. Yes these hallmark movies are so predictable and follow the same formula but this one was extra bad. I feel like the script was bad and the directing was bad so the acting was bad on top of Torrance not knowing what to do with his body. If you watch him sometimes he'd jerk around while talking, or his arms would hang weirdly at his sides, his eyes wouldn't match what he was saying or how he should be feeling. THIS MOVIE WAS WEIRD FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. I know what I'm getting into when I watch hallmark but this was just too much.
Virgin River (2019)
Watchable
Couple things. I found this to be pretty decent if u like chic flick stuff. I'm not a huge Martin Henderson fan so I was a bit off put at how fast he fell for mel. Literally at first glance but hey whatever it happens I guess. Annette's character was quite over the top and wish that could've been toned down a tad. After mel and jack get kidnapped by the pot people i fast fwd'd any scene that had one of those people in it. It did absolutely nothing for me regarding the storyline (but again that's me.) I too noticed the similarities between this and hart of Dixie but for those complaining I looked it up and the books came first :-/
Sweet Magnolias (2020)
Watchable but...
I found it watchable yet at times very preachy and cringey mainly when it came to noreen and dana sue. Like ok Dana sue please treat your daughter as a person and not an employee u boss around. And noreen...ugh noreen was completely mis cast and terribly written. Oy, all of her scenes hurt to watch.
I greatly enjoyed Helen and any scene with justin bruening bc he is such eye candy.
The Wedding Do Over (2018)
Too much music!
Another movie where there's music in the background of EVERY SCENE! I'm only 15 minutes in and I don't know if I can finish. Pls end the music insanity!
Christmas Coach (2019)
Yikes
I came here to see if anyone else disliked the main actress cause I thought it was just me. I started and stopped this movie several times but couldn't make it thru b/c She is just that bad. Unbearable is the right word.
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989)
Timeless
I have loved this movie for decades and I will love it for decades to come. I have decided it's time to share it with my children and I can't wait. I don't care how ridiculous or nonsensical it is, it it most excellent!
Treadstone (2019)
Really good
I really enjoyed the pilot and can tell this is going to be a really good series. I only gave 8 stars bc they could've done better with the time jumps and explaining when is when. That was a tad confusing. And I had to look up and make sure the dude in 73 wasn't the same guy (that didn't age) in the present time.
Baby Daddy (2012)
Still funny after all these years
I watched the show when it originally aired on TV and just started re-watching it. It is still funny after all these years. I feel like there aren't any good sitcoms on TV right now so it was nice to come back to this one for some laughs. Lemme say that I absolutely love the Bonnie and Tucker love/hate relationship. Hilarious!
Tall Girl (2019)
Not pretty in pink
It's like they tried to give us the version of pretty in pink where she ends up with duckie but it didn't work. No chemistry with the nerdy best friend at all. Characters weren't really fleshed out. Just a meh movie.
A Feeling of Home (2019)
Not good
I came here to see if anyone else thought this was as bad as I did. It seems like it was everyone's first time for this movie: acting, directing, writing....all of it just bad. Only things that were half way decent were the secondary characters.
