Judge Judy (1996)
The best show on TV!
Judge Judy has been a lawyer and a judge for over 50 years. Byrd is a graduate of John Jay College which has one of the best criminal justice degree programs in the country.
People are on here complaining she makes no sense, she is obnoxious and a bully. When you have been doing things as long as she has, she knows all the tricks, scams, and lies and can see them coming a mile away.
Sh has the high st rated day time show in modern television. Over 10 million people watch the show everyday. Some of us enjoy the no nonsense, unapologetic, justice she dispenses.
The Dirty Dozen: The Fatal Mission (1988)
And we thought the Titanic was a disaster
As anyone who was a fan of the original and only entertaining "Dirty Dozen" movies knows. Telly Savalas was in the original, played a bible thumping, rapist, and murderer named A.J. Maggot. He was actually machine gunned to death Jim Brown and Charles Bronson.
Hill Street Blues (1981)
The Cop show that taught the rest
Until Hill Street Blues came along mist cop shows were the same. The story of two cops, their stories, and may be a touch of their family life.
Hill Street Blues is set in an unknown American city. There has been much speculation over the years but no one can prove what city with any certainty.
This show grabs you in the first few episodes. You go thru the attempted murder of what you think are the main characters in the show only to realize that every member in the cast tells their own stories every week.
The thing that really made this show different was it's huge cast. It wasn't a group of a few cops but about 15 characters. All with their own stances on politics, sex, police work, and anything else a person would stand for or against. This show had star after star in it as guests. You see very you g stars of today, playing gang leaders, crime victims, other cops, it's really amazing. I would recommend this show to anyone on the job, they will be able to relate to it. Even after 30+ years the stories, strong acting, and excellence still shines thru. I am now a retired cop and never had the pleasure for working for a Captain who would stand up to the Chief, Mayor, or Press as it is depicted in this show.
Hardcore TV (1992)
Funniest thing HBO ever put on the air
I watched this since the first episode. I couldn't believe how far they went and it was funnier then anything I had ever seen! The best skit ever in any skit show had to be "Raging Bullwinkle" If you have never seen it and you have a HARDCORE sense of humor you will see what I mean!
