This WAS a good movie!
11 May 2008
I loved this! I am a huge Scott Bakula fan, but I don't always love everything I have seen him in. I DID love this one. No, it's not a blockbuster movie, but it IS cute, funny, and I think well written. As always I love seeing Scott play more than one role, and hearing him put on the southern accent was too fun! It probably wasn't too hard since he is a Missouri native (as I myself am!) so he didn't have to make too much of a stretch to get "southern"! I don't understand why some other people said it was "almost good" and picked at the music, I thought it was all just fine. Scott looks great as "Buck Steele" in that cowboy hat and boots, LOVED that! He is so good at playing emotional parts, it really pulls your heart strings. He's great at doing the comedy as well. Can you tell I love Scott Bakula's work??!! I am not completely biased though, I try to call it like I see it. What girls learn was an odd awkward part for him, but this was great. If you are a Scott fan, it is one you MUST see.

Sesame Street (1969– )

Sesame Street is timeless
9 May 2008
I grew up on Sesame Street, as did many children, but in the early to mid 70's it was THE THING! I had a Big Bird toy, and loved to act like Cookie Monster when I had cookies, my brother and I played "Super Grover" on many occasions. Sesame Street is an old familiar friend and to this day watching an episode makes me smile and feel like a kid again. I can still sing the theme song word for word. *sheepish grin* My children had numerous video tapes of shows as they were growing up as well. I never knew about Elmo until I had children of my own, and I fell in love with all the new characters as well. I now realize that Sesame Street taught me to read early on, and count, and helped me deal with many other issues in life. I am 36 years old and I will NEVER outgrow my love for Sesame Street!! Long Live BIG BIRD!

Absolutely Fabulous!
2 January 2006
I took my 12 year old and 8 year old sons to this movie and we all enjoyed it immensely! What an awesome film! I had seen the older videos and this is much much better quality wise! So many really neat special effects and such a great story! There were places the audience laughed, and places that drew a tear to the eye, and places that had us on the edge of our seats! GREAT movie! I am sure it will be a timeless classic! The children who acted in the movie were very good and convincing as the main characters, and the White witch was scary and evil, but not so bad that young children couldn't see the film. I felt the scene with Father Christmas could have been done better, they went over it a bit too quickly. Aslan was so realistic! It made you feel as if a real Lion were talking! SO good! The battle scenes were very well done and so exciting. I highly recommend this film. It is so refreshing to see a family movie with no bad language or sex in it these days.
