The Outlaws (2021)
The Outlaws is terrific!
The subtle humor in this dramedy is so well done. The stereotypes are not exaggerated, but do give you a feel for getting judged by your looks, not your character. Even seemingly prosperous and advantaged people can be misunderstood. I enjoyed this thoroughly and look forward to another season!
Godzilla (1998)
Disney's Godzilla Movie
It has:
Lots of special effects
Well known actors
Lots of destruction
A plot, sort of
Missing? So many things, but a nice way to spend an afternoon on a cold day.
La Brea (2021)
If "Lost" and "Land of the Lost" had a baby
I was looking forward to this show. The premise is fun. I can suspend belief to certain degree. However, high school kids could write better dialogue and scenes that aren't completely insane. The lack of logic is amazing. I may watch to see if it gets better, but it is not a great show.

Cosmic Sin (2021)
Golden Raspberry Winner!
I thought I'd seen the worst streaming movies until I saw this. I could make a list of its many flaws, but it, like the movie, would be pointless. Just go watch Star Trek -any of them- again.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Could be worse
If it entertains kids, fine. Lots of over-their-heads references and a few snicker moments. My biggest laugh was LeBron happy he was in Hufflepuff in Harry Potter World. They didn't pay Don Cheedle enough to do this.
Star Trek: Voyager: Virtuoso (2000)
This is an under-appreciated episode.
The doctor introduces a very technology oriented society to "music". As is often the case, the first performer they hear is their mama duck... they become obsessed with the doctor. The doctor's ego is way over inflated - he believes that he is worthy of such intense adulation. He considers leaving Voyager to follow a singing career, when one of the planet's scientists recreates the doctor, with "enhanced" abilities based on mathematical algorithms. In other words, the doctor plus musical super abilities. The new, improved model supersedes Voyager's doctor's in popularity on the planet. The doctor gives a farewell performance that truly out shines his previous operatic attempts to a tepid reception. He finally understands that fame is fleeting, but friends are a constant.
Cursed (2020)
This is a charming, new story!
This is told from a different character's point of view. No, it is not faithful to the Arthurian legend, but it's sets are artistic, the costumes are simple, and the story is fun. Forget the original, which I love, and enjoy fun fantasy. The acting is fine. Arthur is gorgeous, (ahem) I mean, handsome. Merlin is quite a character, too.
Loosen up, people! This is a new story based on old characters.
The Aliens (2016)
Brilliant!
This show tackles a lot of issues, but is infused with humor, and absurdity, while examining prejudice and drug abuse. I was so pleasantly surprised after reading the premise at the quality of this show. It doesn't need lots of special effects. It shines on its own!
Black Panther (2018)
It was a perfect movie for me!
We're there flaws? Sure. Did I follow all of the logic? No. but it was highly entertaining, and I loved seeing all the strong, female warriors and gorgeous black men. The tech was interesting if not very believable, but, hey, who would have predicted portable Video/phone/camera/reading/messaging devices 30 years ago? Suspend disbelief and be swept away to Wakanda! It's a great ride! Disney? Can you make this happen?
Supernatural: A Most Holy Man (2018)
Enjoying a change of pace!
Less magic, more detective, and Sam and Dean in film noir setting. Holy Maltese Falcon! Yeah it's not the same demon blood bath, but the background music is perfecto and the camera shots are straight out a Sidney Greenstreet/Humphrey Bogart movie. Kids, be warned, this isn't a Rock'em Sock'em robots episode.
The Last Man on Earth (2015)
If you only watched a few episodes, you missed a lot!
I was skeptical when I started watching and disgusted by Phil's frat-boy behavior, but as he tries to work with his adopted family, the story keeps getting funnier and funnier. I am distressed that we will never find out what happened to them after the cliff-hanger season finale. "Oh, farts!" Is now part of my vocabulary.
