Person of Interest: Deus Ex Machina (2014)
(IMHO) One of Finest Hours of Television
This episode has it all. Great setup and payoff, great use of a finale for each of the heroes and villains, and to date the most out-of-left field twist for the series
Tag (2018)
Better than it should be
This movie had such a low bar for itself, but it was honestly super funny. Great stunt work, great cinematography, Jerry has a hillarious inner monologue, and even had some really tender moments. Definitely worth a watch, just be sure to bring a friend
Deadpool 2 (2018)
Worthy Sequel
Does a great job living up to what the original did well, while also adding a pretty awesome story.
Great comedy, great performances, and a really fun story.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
An adaptation that captures the spirit and charm of the book well
It's witty, yet still dark. While it does have to leave parts of the book behind, it captures the essence that made this book great. While Order of the Phoenix has some kinda lazy VFX, I felt this movie did an excellent job utilizing the effects in new ways. Tom Felton and Michael Gambon make incredibly standout performances here.
I do have a considerable bias here considering this is my favourite book in the series.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
It's Fine. Not the best book to movie adaptation
Credit where credit is due: this movie took over 800 pages of book and allowed it to move at a breakneck pace.
The biggest problem is this movie had to cut out so much and this leaves the movie with a very empty feeling. In addition, so much of he book relied on you being in Harry's head, something I don't think made the transition well to the big screen
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
It's very good
Get ready for an emotional roller coaster though. It'll make you laugh. It'll make you cry.
Cast is incredibly well utilized. Brolin is absolutely marvellous as Thanos, bringing complexity to what would otherwise be a generic Marvel villain.
It's an incredible movie
