One of the Best Movies...Ever.
18 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. I'm still speechless.

*Minor Spoilers* I don't think I've seen a movie as good as this since Godfather 2. It was amazing. It surpassed my expectations and than some. The direction is flawless and amazing. I really can't put it into words how great it is, you have to go see it for yourself, the cinematography was probably the best I've seen. I know I'm sounding like a fanboy right now but its the truth.

Heath Ledger is beyond words. He is the best villain I have ever witnessed on screen, yes better than Darth Vader. His self regard for human life makes him the perfect nemesis for Batman. I've lost count at how many people he killed in this film. He got into Batman/Bruce's mind and messed with him emotionally. He was psychotic and was funny even when he wasn't supposed to. Its a shame that he won't be able to watch his performance on the screen, R.I.P. Right now if he isn't voted for Best Supporting Actor it would be a real shame. You'll will understand once you see this movie. He made him so realistic and scary. I wouldn't bring a kid under 6 to this movie.

Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart and Gary Oldman were all terrific as well but were just out shined by Heath Ledger. Christian does a much better job this time around as Bruce Wayne and Batman. I had my doubts of Aaron at first but he delivered and Oldman is the perfect Jim Gordon.

The action sequences took a huge leap from the first film and there are tons of them. The music from BB returns and is still as solid as ever. Nolan has really created a masterpiece here and with his little use of CGI makes it even more impressive.

I'm still in awe while typing this and its still not as long as I wanted it to be. I'm going to try to go back tomorrow or Saturday and watch it again. If you don't even like Batman or comics you will like this movie and it better be the first "Superhero" movie to be nominated for Best Picture, along with Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor and Best Director. This movie will be in talks when you mention best movies like Godfather, Godfather 2, ESB, The Shawshank Redemption, Schlinders List etc etc. I recommend it to anyone.

Batman: Gotham Knight (2008 Video)
10/10
A welcome addition to the Batman franchise
9 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Batman Gotham Knight: *Spoilers Ahead*

Have I Got A Story For You: 8/10 Its almost identical to the episode "Legends of the Dark Knight" with 3 kids having different versions of what they think Batman is. I though it was well written and it was real interesting with each having a totally different idea of who Batman is. I wasn't a great fan of the art in this episode.

Crossfire: 8.6/10 1 police officer has doubts about Batman continuously calling him a vigilante and is angry at Gordon for not letting the police go after the "gang war" that is supposed to be going on that night. Well him and his parter(who is a tribute to Renee Montoya, the current Question) get caught right in the middle of the gun war of the Russians and the Italians(Maroni) but hey are saved by Batman. His opinion completely changes for him as Batman kicks ass. It got off to a real slow start and that was one of my only problems with it.

Field Test: 5.5/10 Not a fan of this one at all. Lucius Fox gives Bruce a new bullet deflector for the suit. The Italians and the Russians are at it again while Batman fights them kicking even more ass as he doesn't have to worry about gunfire. The problem is that the bullets deflect and his one of the Russians and Batman needs to rush him to the hospital while Batman gives Fox the bullet deflector back saying its "too good". The script was meh at best and I didn't like what Batman looked like.

In Darkness Dwells: 9.5/10 The best episode of the bunch. This episode had everything with small cameos by the Scarecrow and Killer Croc. What made it for me was the communication between Gordon and Batman during the entire mission and the trust they showed each other. The score for this was also amazing. If you have to watch one episode make it this one.

Working Through Pain: 5/10 I was mostly confused with this one. It shows an younger Bruce Wayne learning how to control his pain and not feel it as much and it keeps flashing back to the present time of Batman bleeding and struggling in the tunnels of Gotham. I was more confused than entertained.

Deadshot: 9/10 Badass. Its Batman vs Deadshot thats all you need to know.

*Spoilers end here*

Overall it was surely worth the buy for me as the cover of the DVD is pretty neat as well and some of the episodes I will watch plenty of times. The only problem is the shortness of the episodes and Batman's anime art continuously changing through each story as each director has their own view of him.

Overall: 8.4/10

Almost as good as the original
14 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Two years passed and mostly everyone looks different, some for good and some for worse. I still enjoyed as much as I did the original though.

Some flaws they had though like changing the Joker he now has no red lips and looks like more blackish hair and black pupils, hes still voiced by Mark Hamill which is a plus I guess. They made Poison Ivy more white hinting that she is becoming more like a plant and Catwomen looks much different and not as "attractive" as she was in the original.

Though costumes like Batman, Batgirl, Killer Croc and Scarecrow look badass, especially Scarecrow.

The show isn't as dark as the original because Batman doesn't work as alone as he used to. Most of the time working with Batgirl and the new Robin, Tim Drake. While NightWing(Dick Grayson) comes to the rescue often. Batman gave up the yellow logo and with the black wing on his suit and seems like he got a bit bigger but still kicking tons of ass.

The show isn't as good as the original mostly because of some of the revamped characters but the stories are as exciting as ever and the dialogue is still elite. "Over the Edge" might be one of the greatest Batman episodes ever so make sure you check that out.

Overall 8-9/10

One of the best Animated Shows ever.
9 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
When I was a kid I used to watch this show all the time, waking up on Saturday mornings just to watch it. The voice acting is superb and probably the best you'll ever hear. Mark Hamill as the voice of the Joker is phenomenal, same goes with Kevin Conroy(Bruce Wayne/Batman). The animation is great. Every episode is like a mini movie. Episodes like Heart of Ice, Two Face(Part 1/Part2) and Robins Reckoning(Part1/Part 2) were written, voiced and animated wonderful and are probably some of the best episodes of this series.

The animators did a great job on making Gotham City so dark, which is how its supposed to be. Even during the day-time it still felt dark. The Joker appeared more times than any villain obviously because he is Batmans arch rival. His laugh and just overall how he acted felt like you were reading the comic, they made him perfect.

I rated this 10/10 this was my favorite Animated Series ever and will go down in history as one of them. Still wished they somehow continue it.

Good movie but wanted more, another X-men?
27 May 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Just came back from seeing it and it was pretty good. Halle Berry did a better job as Storm in this movie than the first 2, thank god. Patrick Stewart had a solid performance but the acting stars were easily Famke Janssen, Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman. Famke was terrific and played her role perfectly, some of her face expressions were brilliant. Ian like the first 2 was great but in this film he surely did better. Hugh Jackman was the best IMHO, he was everything Wolverine was and the lines he did was Famke was very good. Kelsey Grammar was very good as Hank Mccoy/Beast, he fit his personality very well, Juggernaut was alright and Colossus had a bigger role than the last one but only had a few lines.

The last battle was very well made with and the stand off between 6 X-men and the army of Magneto was well done. The bridge scene with Magneto was incredible. The Pyro vs Iceman fight could of been much better but it was decent. I was pretty made though because they did so little with Mystique and Cyclops and was mad with what they did with Cyclops.

Overall it was pretty good but not better than the Original one but better than the second one.(I was not that big of a fan of the second one) If your a fan of X-men you gotta see this movie, but it leaves you wanting more and we probably will get it to because of the final scene of the movie.

Overall: 8.4/10 **ATTENTION** Stay for after the credits role because its another reason there will probably be an X-men 4. WOOT!
