Giant Little Ones (2018)
Was anyone in love?
Weird film. This film is not about love but about sexual experiences, specifically bisexual ones. The main character seems not be in love with anyone, and relationship with the boy is still weirdest. The films seems to underline the bisexual character and the social discrimination about it. Important to remark that the main character is not considered himself gay at all.
I don't think I could appreciate this story, even if technically the film is pretty decent.
Der Hauptmann (2017)
Lot of free violence... but not with Tarantino touch
I got increasingly surprised by the raising violence and cruelty showed in the film. Sometimes really disturbing and without a rhythm directors like Tarantino could manage. Another point I didn't like are the disturbing sounds (not music, disturbing sounds) between some scenes. They were really disturbing and I couldn't avoid decrease volume.
La odisea de los giles (2019)
Action comedy about an important chapter in Argentina
From first moment it's clear where the film go. If you knew what happened in Argentina those years you feel pity for those men, and you feel a big empathy for their actions. Music help with the rhytm and even if some characters lack of deepness the set is excellent and the movie has a lot of action with a touch of nostalgy and comedy. Very recommended.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
Exaggerated film
Everything from beginning is exaggerated in this film. It's not made for describing a wall street wolf but for making it a show in front of the watcher. It's difficult to empathy or understand the situation in this way. Sometimes dialogs lack of interest. Honestly difficult to get in touch with the film, and specifically the situation within trade brokers life, but convenient for those who love 'the show', as scenes are designed by Scorsese. DiCaprio is a good actor for this kind of cast, so no surprises.
