I think the idea is great, and I enjoyed the show at first. But then I noticed how Larry Charles let more and more space in the series for promoting hate of the right-wing, the left's intersectionality and then even cultural appropriation.. I think it was a mistake because hating Trump is not "edgy" or "dangerous" in any way. It's pretty mainstream. And so was going to promote political correctness when you at the same time show how people die or risk their lives to make provocative jokes. So why going away from the topic of the series so much? I think it's a sign of weak minds. Sad! So I will give it 4 for great idea.

For what it is, the movie is pretty good.
It's a comedy inspired by real events, a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s. So see it as semi-documentary type of movie with some laughs here and there.
I don't know anything about the manager but it seems that he is that weird as Adam Sandler portrays him to be, and the audience for some reason mix those two together thinking Adam Sandler is to blame for some parts of the manager's character? Like the voice for example, the manager seems to have that kind of voice..
Also, some people watching this probably expected more comedy and fiction, and finish it disappointed. I started watching this without any expectations, just that it's some kind of a movie based on real events, and I had a positive experience watching it.

Excellent movie if you like the weird kind

I saw the happening after a month of waiting time simply because I liked the trailer and I like the weird kind of movies that end in a weird way ^^
So I saw this movie and I don't understand why there are so many negative votes. Only because some people didn't get the movie, it doesn't mean it was bad.
Anyway I think it was a very good movie and if you like the unexplainable, you shouldn't listen to the critics and just watch this movie. One thing is for sure, this isn't just another movie. This movie is the kind of a movie that gives you something to think about.

OK, I decided to comment this movie due to the amount of the bad comments. The new a long awaited movie (I waited several years for it)X-Files I want to believe is one of those "weird/monster x-files" except that there is no monsters just pure science.
After watching this movie most of the friends I went to the cinema with didn't like it but I who have watched all X-Files episodes and movies liked it! It wasn't as good as the first one since I wanted to see an alien movie but it was good enough to say it was a good movie. To watch Scully and Mulder after all those years, to see how they changed and their lives changed. To see some new FBI members and so on.
