The Power: The Day of the Girls (2023)
Saudi Arabia
This show gets better with every episode!
The Saudi Arabia part was both heartbreaking and beautiful.
Men being small minded and violent toward little girls.
Women and girls standing up for eachother, keeping eachother safe.
The part where the protesters liberate a captive woman and then give her the power, that was so beautifully made it made my eyes tear up.
I loved Allie since she was introduced, but she is starting to give me the creeps.
I feel like she's gonna go all Darth Vader pretty soon.
I hope om wrong tho, it would be awesome to see a black teenage girl Jesus.
She's a very complex character!
The Power: A Better Future Is in Your Hands (2023)
Good start.
A bit of a slow start, but gets better as it goes!
Nice to see teenage girls with powers for once, feel like you dont see it super often these days.
(Except Sabina mabey?)
It's really beautiful to see the comradery between some of the girls in this episode
Trigger warning in this first episode!
An older man tries to rape his teenage foster daughter, nothing explicit is shown but just the implication can be triggering for those of us who have been abused by men.
There is also another scene with another girl and her mother where there is violence involved, i suggest turning of the sound to minimize triggers 🌻
Wrong Turn (2021)
Weird, but good.
At first I was disappointed when I realized it wasn't a Wrong Turn remake but I was pleasantly surprised!
It's a cozy weird lost in the forrest kind of movie, just the kind I love.
Cursed (2005)
Funny!
Much better than I thought it would be! Interesting, funny and a twist in the end.
Another Life (2019)
Just survive the first couple of episodes and it'll get better!
The drama and annoying characters made me hate this show in the first couple of episodes. But it gets better, the characters get better so give it a chance! I hope there's a season 2 coming! ❤
Cursed (2020)
Give it a chance
It's a bit illogical at times, but overall it's a good show!
Evil: Exorcism Part 2 (2019)
Slow episode
Slow episode, i miss their supernatural cases but the ending kinda made it worth the watch. Hilarious 👏
My Dead Ex (2018)
How can anyone hate this?!
I very seldom give anything a 10, but hot damn this was a good show! So bloody funny. Sure it's problematic, since it's basically Stockholm Syndrome but I couldn't help but to love it anyway!
Venom (2018)
Should be an action comedy!
I don't understand why so many people seem to dislike this movie, I thought it was hilarious!
Into the Dark: Flesh & Blood (2018)
reivew
I thought this episode was great! I was sitting on pins and needles the entire time.
Great acting!
Those Who Can't: Normal Activity (2016)
Awesome
I don't understand how this episode have such low ratings, the Doris thing aside I thought it was bloody hilarious!
Dracula: The Dark Compass (2020)
Did you think after all this time I'd let it hurt?
I don't understand why people hated this episode so much!
This whole series showed a new side of Dracula that I've never seen before and he kinda scared the it out of me. He kinda reminded me of the book version of Hannibal Lecter. Dark, calculating, without regard for people's lives or feelings and most importantly he didn't feel romanticized. I've been in love with vampires since Buffy and dreamt of being feed upon, but this Dracula I would run screaming from! I would not want to end up like his undead in their coffins and boxes.
But back to this episode! I think it ended beautifully, a perfect end ❤
Daybreak: Post Mates (2019)
Josh sucks
So the basis of this episode is that Josh is a misogynistic ashole and Sam Dean is bloody amazing. She was to good for him, I really hope she doesn't take him back after he rescues her!
Charmed: Sweet Tooth (2018)
Love it
A grown-up female virgin who isn't a religious individual or waiting for marriage, that has to be a first for tv! Love it! Also love that there's a gay main character🙏❤
Charmed: Let This Mother Out (2018)
Second episode
Keeps going strong, this is gonna be a good show!
Just see it as separate from the original and I'll probably be easier to digest
Charmed: Pilot (2018)
Reboot
I loooved the original, but after seeing this first episode of the reboot it has competition! I also feel like the political message is necessary in thise days. Girls growing up with this show can call themselves lucky!
Booksmart (2019)
Feelgood movie!
I thought this movie was really beautiful and cosy.
Nice with some lgbt and plus size main characters for once, whom also wasn't stereotyped! Loved those two girls.
Porn is not the best way to learn how sex works, but other than that it was a really good movie!❤
If you're a man who who hates women and think feminism and consent sucks then you're gonna hate this movie.
If you're a feminist, you're gonna like this!❤
About Time (2013)
Sci-fi version of You.
If this had been a thriller it would have been a well made movie.
Boy meets girl, girl doesn't like boy, boy travels back in time numerous times to get to know girl to manipulate girl to fall inlove with boy.
Basically a sci-fi version of You, only more scary because the woman has no chance to defend herself against his manipulation, because she doesn't remember his previous attempts.
Mrs. Fletcher: Solar Glow (2019)
Date rape
I think this episode showed very well the bad effect can have on young people. It's the first time im seeing it portrayed like this, it was difficult but probably necessary for alot of people to see
Diablero (2018)
Good supernatural show!
Im glad i gave this show a try even though I have a hard time with tv that isn't in my mother language or english!
It's apparently based on a book, that explains why it's so good.
It has some bad effects, but other than that I have nothing to complain about, which is rare.
I really don't understand why this show has such a bad rating!
Heder: Torsksafari (2019)
"En kvinna som vill ligger inte still"
A good mix of dark drama and humor! Loved the scene at the cafe with lawyers.
I don't understand the review on the first page about it being unrealistic so far.
As a woman in a rape culture it feels very realistic.
Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia (2018)
Give it a shot!
It is a bit slow in the beginning, but right around the snakes it picks up!
Haven't laughed this hard in a long time, I can always count on Trevor Noah to dampen my depression❤
Doom Patrol: Danny Patrol (2019)
Danny Street
I didn't know how much I needed a sentient, gender-queer, teleporting street until this episode!
So much feels!❤
Barry: berkman > block (2019)
I live for these random moments.
I live for these random moments of gayness! The moment between Hank and Cristobal was sooo cute, but still amusing enough so not to scare away the homophobes watching this show.
I really hope Cristobal survived and that we get to see more of their relationship in the next season!
Roswell, New Mexico: Pilot (2019)
Roswell for adults
First of all, saw the original show. I kinda liked it.
But THIS first episode, i loved it! The some what grown up, political correct version of Roswell. I understand that alot of people(Trump supporters, right winged people) might hate the first episode due to it's courage to bring up problems with Trumps politics. And I think it's those people who gave this episode such a low rating. The episode itself is not bad, I guess it's just really scary for people to see PC stuff if you're not used to it.
So if you disagree with Trumps politics and like scifi, this seems to be the show for us!
