It is to typical of people complaining about something when they no nothing about it...So this is about a gay man falling for a straight women. First of all...This is a true story so you cant say its not believable Second its written by a gay man so the whole thing about this being against the gays are just plain stupid. Personally I think this was the best love story I've ever seen. And I am very pro gay. I think this shows that real love is about personality not just looks and sex. And it has nothing against anyone who is gay, straight or bi unlike so many other shows. Maybe we in Europe take to it more cus most TV here are a bit deeper and make you think more then American TV...Plus we don't fear when it comes to showing certain things.

If you want something funny with one of Englands best (Lesley Sharp) and you want to see a decent believable love story without too much sap this is for you. I know I love it

Anyone who don't find this funny need their head examened... I mean it This is the funniest thing made in a very long time. Not only that for once a show that isent scared and don't take itself seriously... And what fab characters: Frank-A total waste of life lol says a lot of things but they rarely make any sense Sheila-I laugh my head of...Scared or everything, lives in her own world and takes more meds then I can count Fiona-Cute and sweet you so want everything to go well for her Veronica-My favourite. Totally mad Kev-You just want to kiss him... Lip-Makes up for his nickname Ian-Gay and scared of coming out...Played brilliantly for an actor who makes his debut Debbie-Reminds me of me when I was little. Just the little sister you'd like to have And all the rest...Carl, Kash, Yvonne, Carol, Marty, Lillian and Hippi Pete they are all amazing and played but some of Englands best I take this over any American comedy any day....Hey I'll take any UK show over any American any day but whatever :)

This is possibly the best short crime drama I've ever seen. The acting is superb especially Amanda Burton who's character goes from scary to sweet to disturbing to sad and then some...She does an amazing job balancing Rachels/Carlas feelings and acting out the pain of someone who's lost a child, its so believable that it feels more like a real life story then a drama. The other actors are of course great too which they usually are in British TV/Film. The ending, which I'm not going to give away,is fantastic mainly because you don't really get one... (you'll get what I mean after you've seen it) This is well worth buying and seeing over and over again and if you're not touched by this you're one cold hearted person.

Amazing

This is absolutely brilliant!!! Only UK would do this kind of show and go all the way :-) I love Sarah Parish and she's just amazing in this. Oh and those who complain about the fact that it isn't dancers and singers that does the characters thank god for that! I think the point is that it isn't perfect, it makes it more real and what joy would it be watching perfect dancers who can't act!? No they did the right thing casting actors for it... Anyway this is funny, touching, dark and a bit disturbing aka everything you can possibly want in a TV program and I can just pray it's true they are planning a sequel.... UK are brilliant at making TV that stays with you long after it airs unlike US...
