Ricky Gervais: Armageddon (2023)
Very funny and very current
It's also very funny to read the comments on here from American liberals who can't take British humour. In this country we roast our best friends like they are our enemies, no subject is off topic. We go low, into the gutter. But at the end of the day we laugh because we know it's just a joke and our friends don't actually mean it. Unfortunately, liberal Americans don't understand this and are getting offended and are totally missing the point - it's time to stop cancel culture and here is the antidote to it. Kudos to Netflix for putting the show online, considering the virtue signalling and LGB box ticking that appears in nearly all of their shows.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Two moms. YAWN
Great effects, rushed script, brilliant monsters. Good acting, Elizabeth Olsen is gorgeous. However, America has two moms. Virtue signalling c**p. It's so boring now.
The Walking Dead: Acts of God (2022)
Everyone critiquing this show, just stop it now
Hey armchair producers. It's just a TV show about zombies. Switch your mind off and enjoy it. This season has been very good so far. You'll miss it when it's gone.
The Batman (2022)
Good
Very well filmed, nice camera angles, a different take on the Batman universe. Good acting, good action. I wasn't bored at all and it didn't feel too long. Anybody giving this movie 1,2 or 3 etc out of ten really doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.
An Innocent Man (1989)
A woke free old school movie
After suffering the left wing agenda in countless modern films, there was nothing woke going on here. No forced racial, gender or sexual narratives. This is why I like these old school flicks.
Free Guy (2021)
20 mins in is your daily dose of leftism
20 mins in we hear the phrase 'white privilege'. Yawn. The hypocritical film makers think they are groundbreaking pandering to the leftist narrative, but then have the stereotypical attractive, white, blonde in one of the main roles. Obviously not that groundbreaking then.
World Trade Center (2006)
Well acted, moving although unfortunately inaccurate
I found the film very moving, showing the awful experience of those trapped. One massive and unforgivable inaccuracy however. Marine Dave Karnes was black, a true African American hero. How this fact was missed is beyond my comprehension.
Cruella (2021)
Not for little kids
Your 7 year old daughter who loves dogs, Disney princesses and the original 101 Dalmatians movie will find this boring and hard to follow. It's not for them, which is strange because 7 year old girls and their doting parents are Disney's core audience.
If you're 12 or older then you might like this. Wasn't brilliant, wasn't terrible.
The War of the Roses (1989)
Confusing, jerky plot
Overall, quite boring. Decisions made by the characters made no sense. Too long.
Air Force One (1997)
I enjoyed it immensely
6/10 is harsh. It's a great pre-woke 90s action flick that never drags. Don't question, just enjoy.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Here is the show in two sentences
Starts off good, gets boring. Not as good as it's made out to be.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020)
Can only compare to previous Borat movies and shows
Not that funny, not a patch on first movie and a political hit job.
Seinfeld: The Gum (1995)
Weakest episode so far
Literally nothing happens! Weakest ep in all seasons so far.
Seinfeld: The Gymnast (1994)
Sexist
The way Jerry talks about the gymnast is very sexist.
Designated Survivor (2016)
Told you
And I was shouted down when I said Netflix has a Marxist agenda....season 3 tells you all you need to know.
Seinfeld: The Implant (1993)
Females may feel uncomfortable
Jerry and George's constant stream of girlfriends, their inability to show them much respect and their constant discussion of them in sexual terms only is sexist.
Tiger King (2020)
What's all the fuss about?
After all the chat on social media and in the press I was expecting to watch some riviting, addictive TV. After sitting through all the eps, I gotta be honest and say it was.....ok. It's not actually that good. Average TV with really dislikable characters, especially Joe. And what's all the talk about Carole? I can't see what she actually did wrong apart from challenge the massive egos of Joe and Jeff.
Yesterday (2019)
Subconscious middle class racism.
Indian man likes white man music. Everyone laughs and celebrates. Indian man and his parents have white names. Everyone likes Indian man because he likes their white, western culture. Indian man with a white man name falls for white woman. Also, everyone in British films speaks without accents and lives a comfortable middle class life in the home counties. Script could have been written by a 10 year old.
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019)
Not a patch on the 1st movie
1st movie was a highlight of my life so far. 2nd was a disappointment. The 'enemy' characters were just so irritating, repetitive and dull, especially Queen Whatevra who I hated. 1st movie was clever, witty and great for adults. 2nd one great...if you are 6.
Everybody Loves Raymond (1996)
How the hell can you not love this show?
I have watched every episode, in sequence, 3 times. Funny, clever, entertaining, good wholesome family entertainment, (although not always suitable for young children). Made in a time before TV went woke. The wonderful 90s. Can't fault it. People who don't like it have no sense of humour. An all time classic.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
The comics contain the actual ending to the franchise.
Read the comics T2-Cybernetic-Dawn and T2-Nuclear Twilight.
The film is a decent watch, good action, good CGI and Rev9 and Grace are great creations, but it falls completely flat with the ridiculous Carl storyline. There are so many plot holes and contradictions and completely stupid ideas here it totally ruins the film, and there was no need to kill John Conner. His meaningless death adds nothing to the plot. Another ridiculous idea.
Stranger Things: Chapter Seven: The Bite (2019)
Robin's sexuality
I love this show and I like convenience of Netflix, but I am starting to think that they are a far left organisation forcing an agenda upon us. Let us just watch the shows without forced sexualisation of characters. Robin is a great character and her discolosure was totally out of context.
Stranger Things: Chapter Five: The Flayed (2019)
AWESOME
This show is pure awesome 80s throwback entertainment. Music, acting, suspense, jaw dropping brilliance.
American Beauty (1999)
One of the greatest movies ever
Quite simply, if you're a guy and over 40 you will think that this is one of the best movies eve made.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
This show had me hooked, awesome sci-fi
This is a great show, highly recommended. Very true to the Terminator universe, great continuity and superb acting. No plot holes, great writing and great effects. Cameron is a total babe, her beauty leaving me open mouthed at times, Sarah and Riley also gorgeous. Highly recommended. Summer Glau must be given a role in T6!
