Just Visiting (2001)
Hilarious
Jean Reno is one of favorite actors ever since seeing him in THE PROFESSIONAL. I have him on autorecord to find movies that come up starring him and just watched JUST VISITING it was was made, creative, imaginative, great casting and had me laughing. Too bad I just heard about this now. I didn't think Christina Applegate would be good with Reno but she was outstanding also along with Reno's Andre played by Christian Clavier who is his servant who falls in love with Tara Reid and some other interesting characters give the movie great substance.
Also the location of Chicago and some of the zany scenes of them eating out reminded me of BLUES BROTHERS..... Enjoy
Cherish (2002)
Had me glued to the TV watching it
Just stumbled upon this movie on one of the movie stations and since I love Robin Tunney and never heard of this movie and ended up watching it and later recording it.
She plays an amazing role for a difficult situation brought on by a stalker and being at the wrong place at the wrong time when she was just having a simple easy life with a job she really liked.
She is quite clever in a few parts and has some love twists with some unexpected.
Movie has a great selection of 80s music, suspense along with a few twists and surprises and a good cast.
Barney's Version (2010)
One of his best movies ever
Has an all-star cast - a few you might have some trouble recognizing! Like Minnie, Dustin and Saul. Minnie really took me by surprise I had no idea it was her. She looks amazing. Haven't seen her this good since GOODWILL HUNTING....
Dustin Hoffman was amazing as his dad who is an ex-cop. I loved the names of the the bar he hangs out a lot and his production company and the cast of characters that work there.
Great story, unpredictable, lots of twists that caught me by surprise. I regret not going to the event in NYC where they had a preview of the movie with Paul there for questions and answers. I enjoyed seeing him at another preview of COLD SOULS in Brooklyn. Just saw it a few hours ago and I cant wait to see it again... I fell in love with his last wife also !!! He even makes you laugh and cry at the same scene numerous time. A lot of emotions and marriages...whew..Great movie...
Elsa y Fred (2005)
Fantastic, charming and memorable
This movie was like a combination of Harry met Sally and Waking Ned Devine....
It has Love and humor, showing your never too old !!!
China Zorrilla steals the movie......she is wild, crazy, zany and unpredictable...and a lot of trouble ! I hope her other movies are like this....anyone else seen her previous movies....please tell us which ones to see.....
I loved the scene when they were at the restaurant. Its priceless... Her driving, faces, and acts of innocence are priceless.
Its on cable but without subtitles for now...have to wait for the DVD I guess

Tommy (1975)
is there another version (release) ?
I saw a special showing of TOMMY at the Museum of Moving Image in New York City last year and I saw scenes some quite bizarre and even psychedelic that I never saw in the movie before.
Maybe this was a Director's cut or foreign version but the staff and documentation made no mention of this, so it really through me for loop. Plus my girlfriend and other fans didn't like some of these scenes....
Also I'm thinking of a pilgrimage to Portsmouth, UK England where most of the filming for TOMMY was done. Especially after finding this website and talking to the creator who was even around for its filming pointed out to me that many of the settings, sites and structures are still intact. Heck I went to London & Liverpool for the Beatles I feel I should visit Portsmouth since TOMMY is a special movie and musical to me.....
