Burnt (2015)
Yummy
It's very visually appealing with lots of good food shots and behind the scenes high end kitchen scenes. It can be a little contrived at times but overall an enjoyable easy watching movie. Bradley Cooper is obviously amazing but I think Daniel Brühl steals the show for me. You really feel for him with the character he plays, he's a great underrated actor!
New Girl (2011)
Cute and comforting
I've been rewatching this show and having an absolute BALL. Nick is such a gem of a character. He's a modern day heart throb who wears his emotions on his sleeve and isn't scared to be silly. Winston has some of the best lines and makes me laugh so much. Jess is an obvious loveable character that you can't help but want to be her best friend. Schmidt should have been gay. There I said it. Him and the whole Cece plotline made no sense. Anyway great comforting comedy. 9/10.
The Perfection (2018)
Unexpected and full of twists
I hate when reviewers sum up a plot in thier review. We're not here to listen to the plot we're here to listen to the review. So in saying that this movie is INSANE. It's absolutely wild with the way the story progresses and the plot twists and turns. By the end of it I couldn't believe what I just watched. It's one of those movies that makes you think afterwards too. The acting is fantastic and the direction of the movie is so cool, very Tarantino after/before. Solid 8 out of 10.
Dave Chappelle: Killin' Them Softly (2000)
Hilarious and so true
This was 'back in the day' but man does this comedy ring true. Dave really knows how to deliver some hard hitting issues but in the most comical way. Literally had me in stitches! Dave's impression of white people makes me feel like a real asshole as a white person which I think is needed. A true comedian with making us laugh but also thinking about the ways of the world. Great show, a must watch.
The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (2022)
A great parody about woman across the street drinking wine looking at people
Ah come on people! This is a fun silly take on all the murder mystery made for women books out there. Kristin bell did a wonderful job and I enjoyed every episode. It was dumb, silly, mysterious and fun. Get a grip people and just sit back, relax and enjoy a great binge-worthy Netflix show. Would recommended.
Schitt$ Creek (2015)
Clever, witty and heartfelt
Everything you ever needed in a sitcom. I actually feel bad even calling it a sitcom as I feel that downgrades it for some reason. It's almost in a realm of it's own. I've seen it three times and it never gets old. EW DAVID.
Compliance (2012)
LAWYER UP
Has no one ever heard about miranda rights? LAWYER UP. This is so dumb. I would never in my wildest dreams think someone has rule over me via the phone. COME ON PEOPLE.
Notes on a Scandal (2006)
Riveting
An absolute scandalous topic performed in a different and exciting way. The Brits know how to tell a story succinctly and with wit. The narrative of Dame Dench is incredible and makes you laugh at times with her spot on observations. It's a delicious naughty tale that ends perfectly. A wonderful psychological thriller that brings to the forefront marital strain and geriatric lonely issues to make you think twice about how people deal with the world.
The Greatest Showman (2017)
Heart exploded
I've never smiled so much during an entire movie. I can't get enough of the singing, dancing and heartfelt story line. Hugh jackman and zac efron at their absolute best. Anyone who bags this movie is the grinch of the earth. FROM NOW OOOOOON AND WE WILL COME BACK HOME HOOOMMEE AGAAAAIN.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)
So fun!!
This is just a fun movie. Loved the music! Feel good movie that was silly in a great way with a heartwarming ending.
The Wrong Missy (2020)
Not too shabby
It's not going to win any awards but it made me cringe and laugh and get a little emotional at the end. A worth Happy Madison production. Not too shabby at all.
