The Simpsons: Simpsorama (2014)
Season 26, Episode 6
9/10
What an enjoyable crossover 😄
8 March 2023
As a fan of The Simpsons and Futurama for many years, it was an absolute delight to see this episode. I didn't even know it existed! Up until a few months, I'd only seen The Simpsons up to about season 13. Since getting Disney Plus, I've been watching all the new seasons, starting from season 14. 'Simpsorama' is definitely one of the best newer Simpsons episodes in my opinion. I honestly hope that they do another crossover with Futurama. It worked really nicely here, and has the potential to be even better, and funnier too. If they do make another S & F crossover, I hope that Fry will have some more lines, I love his character. Anyway, whether you're a Simpsons fan, a Futurama fan, or you love both shows, this is an episode you've got to see! It's fun and wholesome 😊

Ginny & Georgia: Welcome Back, Bitches! (2023)
Season 2, Episode 1
8/10
Getting tired of the hate towards Ginny. Interesting and darker developments that piece season 1 together much better.
23 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
When you understand childhood development and what is needed through each of those stages, it honestly makes so much sense why Ginny and Austin have the reactions and behaviours that they do. I am honestly glad that this season is unveiling more of Georgia, her past crimes, current motivations, and how she interacts with her children. Her character is very interesting and captivating, particularly in terms of criminology. I'm very interested to see how this season plays out. One thing is for sure, no one is safe. I just hope that Ginny and Austin will be okay. I'm honestly concerned that anyone in the line of Georgia's fire could be at stake, even her own children if it comes to it.

The Simpsons: The Fight Before Christmas (2010)

Really enjoyable Christmas Special
5 December 2022
So I'm an old school fan of The Simpson's. I've honestly been hesitant towards watching anything past season 10 for all these years. But something shifted in me during Covid 19, and I've gradually been making my way through the newer seasons. I can genuinely say I love these later seasons. I don't see them as replacements for the original seasons which I love dearly, I don't think they're even trying to be like them. I think they are naturally changing as does anything over time. But yeah, I really am enjoying these newer seasons, I say give them a chance. This episode in particular is really wonderful, and I love the pop culture and historical references. I'm definitely going to watch this again when it's Christmas time! I hope you will enjoy it too :)

Better than the hate it's getting
10 August 2022
Sure, it's not perfect. The soundtrack is kind of annoying and gave me some chuckles. It's like they tried so hard to make each song fit the theme of every scene. However the acting is fairly solid, and I found the story to be interesting. I don't see this series as being made for the purpose of replacing previous Resident Evil projects. I just see it as another version and addition. I did not feel like I wasted my time watching this, it kept me entertained.

B Grade Horror/Thriller

I honestly couldn't tell if this was made with the intention to be a horror or a comedy. My partner and I had some laughs though. Still, I wouldn't recommend this.

Sweet and funny, yet turns into dark drama
15 July 2022
If you're looking for something to watch that's sweet, cheesy, fun and the good kind of cringe, then this will tick some boxes. I love the quirky and emotional performances by the two main actresses! What I wasn't expecting about this show however, was for it to turn into a dark drama. I consider it overall to be a very honest look at how social media and social hierarchies can effect mental health and relationships, especially within youth. I'm glad I watched this. If you are looking for something that's only light-hearted all the way through, then this may not be the show for you. Otherwise, I do recommend.

Chilling, brilliant horror film
13 July 2022
Very refreshing horror film, I definitely recommend this to any fans of the found footage genre. Don't read anything about it, just go in and watch it blindly. Do not watch a dubbed version either, use subtitles for best experience.

I wish I hadn't held off from watching this
4 July 2022
The reason I rated it 10 stars is because it's the first horror movie I've seen in a long time that I found to be genuinely very disturbing and unnerving to watch alone at night.

Wow
6 June 2022
I've seen pretty much every horror movie out there, but this one truly disturbed me. I had to keep looking away, and I wish I didn't watch it at all. The movie was definitely successful in it's goal of being highly disturbing, but for me it was done too well and too real. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because of how messed up it is. The acting was done well, but again, too much so that it felt truly sickening and upsetting to watch.

I'm honestly in awe of this episode. It is incredible. The actor playing as King Arthur deserves an award for his performance. I've never witnessed anyone portraying him better. Watching this gave me goosebumps and tears. This really was a beautiful, meaningful, and powerful episode. I look forward to this season's finale, and highly recommend this show to anyone who hasn't seen it!

Better than I expected
5 January 2022
To be honest, I went into watching Paranormal Investigation with very low expectations, especially after reading reviews on here. I've come out of it though, with the unpopular opinion that this film isn't actually bad. It's not great, but I did think it was an interesting watch, and for the most part, the acting by those that played the parents and son was done really well. I'd probably only recommend this film to those who are fans of the found footage genre; if that's you, then I believe it's worth a watch.

What a funny, fun, different episode! Love it.
27 October 2021
I'm watching Supernatural through for the first time, and so far I am adding this to one of my favourite episodes so far of the show. It's something different, it's really funny and cute. I love it when they involve a dog in an episode, and seeing what unfolds for Dean's character, that acting... priceless :)

I loved seeing two members of the Buffy cast in this episode, totally works <3 Fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer should watch this episode even if they're not big fans of Supernatural (feels like the best of both worlds though :)

Vampire Drama 101

I loved the earlier seasons, the writing and casting was fantastic, each episode left you gripping for the next. Unfortunately I think the last few seasons, especially the last two, do the whole show a complete disservice. I wish they had stopped earlier, if they had I would then be giving the show a 10/10.

Disappointed
9 September 2021
It is interesting to see some older characters again, but for me this episode was too much of a musical and disconnected from the rest of the season. I do love me good musical scores, but this was too much for my taste.

Holy crap, not just decent, but excellent
24 August 2021
So I'm going to be honest, I am someone who usually finds Riverdale's delivery disappointing, but I watch the series anyway. This episode however, was excellent, and one of the best made in my opinion. I think it was a smart move to explore Hiram and Reggie's backgrounds, the show did something new with the writing in this regard, whereas it often can fail to deliver because of recycling a lot of old material. If you are a fan of Riverdale, or just watching it for a bit of entertainment, I believe this episode will surpass your expectations.

Refreshing and unique!
18 August 2021
I don't usually rate things this high, but this series is something else. If you are appreciative of any of David Lynch's work, I think you'll enjoy the ride that this is. Words don't do justice for how good the cinematography and directing is, as well as acting of the lead. This is weird, and good weird. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Don't take reviews too seriously, watch it and make up your own mind :)
16 July 2021
I am a 90s kid that grew up on R L Stine's Fear Street and Goosebumps. When I saw this had come out on Netflix I was excited but I didn't have time to watch it straight away, but I took a quick look at the reviews on here. In truth, what I read really put me off from watching it.

Except until tonight, I needed a distraction from grief, nothing was working, so I thought I'd give Part 1 a shot. I'm so glad I did! I was distracted and entertained all the way through. Not disappointed in anyway. As for whether or not the film paid homage to the 90s itself, I really think it did (except for 1 spoken line) - the music soundtrack was fantastic and brought back so many nostalgic feels, the technology/gaming/AOL was just as it was in the era, and I even think the wardrobe fit into the time too. Also regarding the plot alone, I disagree with people saying it didn't make sense, in my opinion it added up and was easy to go with, as well as following R L Stine's style. The instrumental score was also brilliant, whoever composed it did the film justice. All in all I loved watching this, it definitely paid respects to the Fear Street Franchise in my opinion, and I can't wait to watch Part 2 and 3! Oh, and the gore/violence in the film was well done, they didn't hold back on it.

But this is just another review :P Go watch it and decide for yourself. I hope you enjoy!

Interesting film
6 May 2021
Some Kind of Hate is not for everyone. The themes explored, have a realistic quality to them, and I think that's why I actually found this film disturbing. I've experienced bullying, self harm, and attempts in the past, and this film doesn't hold back from these subjects. In fact, it's pretty gory. In some regard, it definitely plays into stereotypes.

I would air caution to people who have personally experienced any of the subjects just mentioned, before deciding to go into this film, as you may find it triggering.

I will say, that I do think this is a unique slasher. The deaths were brutal, and had some creativity. As for characters, I like Lincoln, and found Moira most interesting. Their development is better than the other characters. I only wish some more time was taken to explore Moira though, and her backstory. That's a downside to this film in my opinion, as well as the pacing. The script is a bit weak too.

The acting overall is fairly good though, especially by the actress that plays Moira, and the actor who plays Lincoln. Kaitlyn isn't too bad either.

There were some moments on screen that were too cheesy and cringe for me, and that reminded me this is a B grade film. But as a B grade film, all in all, this is much better than most.

I also loved the soundtrack of metal. Some of you may enjoy and appreciate what it adds to the film, or rather find it to be distracting.

At the end of the day, I have mixed thoughts/feelings about this film because of the themes explored and some of the ways they were executed. But by no means do I think it is bad. It takes some courage to make this. So it's a 6/10 for me.

An awesome, futuristic take on Chucky!
1 May 2021
This was fun to watch. This film is not a remake of the original Child's Play films, but rather a different, futuristic take on them. The acting is decent, and the death's are pretty brutal. I recommend this if you're after a fun slasher film.

Excellent dark drama, with supernatural themes. A slow burner. Great cast and acting. May be triggering to those who have experienced neglect and abuse, so approach with care.

I was looking for a witch film, and I got one, as well as good acting by Katee Sackhoff and Lucy Boynton. Watch this late at night with all the lights out. I actually got goosebumps at one point, and I still feel on edge. Fun horror :)

Pleasantly surprised! A worthy thriller.
22 January 2021
I went into this film not sure what to expect, and was really surprised by how great I found it to be in many regards; remarkable acting by the lead Madelaine Petsch, but most of all I loved the idea of the film and the story line (and it was executed well). I really enjoyed the theme of perception vs reality; the film really kept me questioning what was happening. I was glued to my seat the entire viewing, not distracted or bored, just submerged in what I was watching. All and in all, a worthy thriller! I highly recommend.

More Mickey and Ian Developments
2 December 2020
Really enjoying the air time that Mickey and Ian are getting this season! I love seeing their chemistry together and am hooked on their overall story line. Enjoyed this episode, and found other aspects interesting. I honestly don't mind this season, it's different in some ways sure, but I'm enjoying it, and it has given me some good laughs. Onward to the next episode!
