It's cute, it's absurd, it's zombie idols.

This is one of those anime you get shown by a friend or randomly find on a video site. Is it absurd, crazy and a bit WTF? Yes. Is it trying to be revolutionary, no, but it doesn't need too. This is like the FLCL of idol anime. Silly, hilarious, a riff on idol anime. What more do you want? It's Zombieland Saga for christ sake. You get what you expect and what you get is absurd gold.

The Conners (2018–2025)

The family's the same but the magic is gone.

The first episode had me interested for all of 5 minutes but I watched it anyways and..from what I saw I'm not sure if I'll watch any more. The characters are the same and watching them struggle from the beginning has a similar spirit to Roseanne, it just doesn't capture the same magic. To be fair neither did the reboot, but the issue here is Roseanne herself. Mainly it was the interactions between her and the family that made most of the comedy and allowed the dramatic parts to stand out and... That just wasn't here. Sara Gilbert and John Goodman, especially him, acted their heart out but it's not the same and won't ever be the same. We saw what happened last time they killed off a character and it wasn't favorable. Here it just doesn't work at all. It was a good try at recovering from her firing but a Roseanne-less Roseanne isn't for me.
