Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
Good movie with some poorly done aspects
Not a bad movie. Personally I enjoyed it especially thanks to the continued storyline and the growing friendship between Brock and Venom as well as side characters like Anne and Dan who were quite enjoyable. This is a rare take which shows the usually spider man villains in a different light. However there are things that could have been better and that I expected more from. Carnage is too cool a villain to kill off this quickly and his end managed to be sad despite the despicable things he did. There could have been a lot better work for future installments for the character of Cleutus and I don't really find that cop interesting for any future Carnage storylines nor would it be fun without the joker with powers and a bond with Eddy thing. The spider man cliffhanger definitely seems cool but idk the whole movie seemed a bit rushed and slow in my opinion and the backstreet poor gangster controlling his symbiote friend vibe was a little depressing. Overall 7 out of 10 from me at best.
Legacies: Into the Woods (2022)
#renewlegacies
Now this was an ok episode. Renewlegacies. We need season 5. The storytelling is boring but the show teaches us to always have Hope and we finally see MG and Lizzie rising from the ashes better than Landon. We need more of legacies and we can't let Hope Mikealson the best female character in recent media go just yet after 4 rather disappointing seasons.
Legacies: The Only Way Out Is Through (2022)
#renewlegacies
This season brought Hope for the whole show which is why we need it renewed. Jen is actually a pretty good character but hopefully there are more cool characters down the line. While I find it a bit dumb that Alaric snapped Hope's neck I love the god storyline and their similarities to the originals aka the sleeping in coffins part with an evil father. Whatever fool want this to end now should just be ignored because if they were true haters they wouldn't even watch the show and that alone means their opinions on it count for nothing. Hope remains the best female character in recent media as well as one of the most baddas, complex and powerful. Josie may be missing for now at least but Lizzie is still progressive and incredibly fun as a character more so than even her mothers. Jen and Aurora have their own qualities which are being explored well in my opinion and of course we have the Mikealson family's return next episode. A cool thing to add would be a war between the gods and the Mikealsons now that could make the show even better than it's predecessors.
Legacies: The Story of My Life (2022)
More serious tone and better writing from the past episodes needs for future ones because this one seemed a bit strange
Ok personally I expected more from this episode. Sure it has some good moments and seemingly a great new storyline and all the characters are good especially the tribrid, heretic and their unique take on the Prometheus legend but that last one seems like a copy of the same story supernatural used in their 1 season 8 episode I recently watched and idk it just feels a bit out of context and lacking in originality and the lame monster thing that came doesn't exactly help. Sure the sire bond thing is cool but expected and somewhat predictable and it could have been done better in this episode in my opinion, the fights aren't really well done especially compared to the originals in terms of CGI and how good they look, the sarcophagus being so easily destroyed and Hope being so naive is a bit strange as well, Lizzie actually trying to kill Hope this time while it might seem realistic after what she did is actually a bit out of character for her in my opinion especially since just last episode she said that she couldn't be the one to stop her no matter how evil she becomes I mean it's literally the name of the episode so while not bad in my opinion this episode was a little anti climactic, lacking in a dark and serious tone and seems to be going back to the lame era it started which I Hope pun intended doesn't happen since the recent episodes have been great and we don't need any more childish or cringe aspects like we had in past seasons especially season 2 with fairies and Santa which weren't even the biggest cringes. Overall their on a good path and have potential but they need to write future episodes better in my opinion.
Legacies: I Thought You'd Be Happier to See Me (2021)
Amazing episode
Hag Alaric finally got what he deserved and had coming. I mean look personally I don't believe that punishment is the solution but I think Alaric's character can finally redeem himself by learning what a crappy person he was and getting what he had coming for a while now. I can only Hope pun intended that he actually never bad mouth Klaus and the Mikealsons or tries to control Hope again or she should actually kill him next time. Rebekah's return loved it, the Klaus and Mikealsons references loved it, Alaric being pathetic and going back to the day his daughters were born while his friends suffered instead of watching children grow up just shows what a crappy father he is, Rebekah being helpless and getting what she deserved also loved it, it being shown that Hope can't be daggered and her being such a baddas loved it, the new storyline is exactly what we needed. There isn't anything really negative to say about this episode it was just amazing.
Legacies: There's No I in Team, or Whatever (2021)
Dark, fun and amazing.
This was definitely one of the best episodes of the show. I'm so glad that the dark part of the season that was promised to us didn't disappoint and the monster in this episode managed to actually be scary unlike the Wendy go which was a disappointment for such a scary monster lore. I love Hope and I love how she believes, fights for and see's the desire for redemption a mile away such as in this episode how she trusted Clarke knowing he wanted to be redeemed and that he would help not to mention how kind she now is to him even though he literally tried to steal her body to name just one of the things he did to her and I also love how she proved Alaric wrong and later knocked him out because he more than deserved it. I think she inherited that will for others redemption from Elijah though unlike him she doesn't seek it for just 1 person or family but for everyone she believes deserves it and has patience to fight for and that certainly proves that she is the one who redeemed her father which Elijah believed she could since he first heard of her. Speaking of Klaus I also love Landon's reference to him and honestly Landon is a lot cooler character than people claim and deserves more respect than he gets. Sure the story and Hope's character might center a bit too much on him but he is the ideal love interest for her and Klaus himself knew and approved of that when he first saw them dance. I mean Landon is not only brave, pure hearted, smart, kind and willing to fight but he also respects Hope's family and father especially not to mention loves her unconditionally. I'm a huge Hanson shipper but I also think this episode has some good chemistry between Hope and Clarke and Hosie as well especially now that she has lost another relationship for the same reasons as Penelope which never scared Hope. Lizzie and Ethan were cute 2 but I personally don't see them as endgame and am still rooting for Lizzie and MG especially after hearing Lizzie state that she isn't really feeling it with Ethan despite everything and has stated last episode that she waited for MG a while. Josie and Finch breaking up with the great music was truly heartbreaking. Malivore is also highly underrated as a villain. I mean everyone grew to hate him because we almost never see him talk or him in general + his storyline seems streched but come on guys he is a baddas I mean he is smart, op, dangerous, manipulative, calm, charismatic, logical, at times terrifying, sime times arrogant but doesn't underestimate his opponents, has a good actor and other things so what more do fans want of the big bad? Overall this epizode definetely deserves to ne watched by tvrdu fans and at this rate the show will surpass it's predeccesors by a mile.
Legacies: You Have to Pick One This Time (2021)
It clwasn't meant to be the start of a season but for once that's not the writers fault but COVID's however it still managed to be a great episode in many areas.
This episode was less fun and faster paced than I had expected. I don't really like the Finch and Josie relationship but at least they aren't annoying. As always I hate the new Alaric and his actions not to mention how he is still a bad headmaster but I do like his bond with Kaleb who while I hated at first grew on me as a charecter especially with his loyalty, devotion and good quotes and I also love his relationship with Hope as he seems to be arguably the most respectful and loyal to her. I love Hope's charecter and how she chose to save her friend and not leave him behind proving everyone wrong about her Landon obsession once again like she did in 2x13 which everyone seems to have forgotten due to her 3x8 actions which were in my opinion justified especially since she would have done the same for any of them. MG continues to be a great charecter despite being annoyingly bad at first but he also grew on me almost as much as Kaleb and his friendships continue to grow. Malivore is actually an underated villain. We haven't seen much of him as a charecter due to his storyline being a bit too pushed away and dragged out but he actually seems to be a lot better as a villain than anyone in the originals if you don't count Klaus as a villain. The no Klaus or Hayley appearences continue to disappoint me but that's due to the actors and you can't blame the creators for them not wanting to come back. Aria is amazing as an actor as much as I love Landon he seems to fit more into the villain and Malivore role especially when he was mentally torturing and outmaarting the protagonists Hannibal Lecter style though manages to pull through better than Clarice turning Malivore into the lamb which was only saved due to Alaric's stupidity likely costing them a good plan. Lizzie keeps being great and her relationship with Hope is also amazing and I personally think her and MG should be endgame if not maybe a future charecter and while I like Ethan I think him and Lizzie are doomed as the later doesn't seem to actually love him not even as much as she seemed to have been attached to Sebastian who I'm still waiting for her to mention or mourn sometimes and I Ethan wasn't even in this episode though I would definitely like to see a storyline of him an MG having a chat and rivalry over Lizzie after him rembering what he was compelled to forget. Overall this episode was ok but I expect future episodes to be better and hopefully a lot less silly than some episodes of past seasons were.
Legacies (2018)
It started bad but turned out amazing and is overhated mostly by people who quite watching it too early
This show while highly debatable is actually on par if not in some ways better than predecessors despite the hate. When I first watched it I fully understood the hate and belief that it is wasted potential and it does have some very childish and teen aspects as well as times cringe but when you actually watch it and get used to it grows on you around episode 10 and onward is actually an amazing show because it embodies some good elements from popular media such as Harry Potter and supernatural as well as learns from them with a few better aspects. Most people who rate and hate on it actually haven't continued to watch it in my expirience which is probably the main reason you can't find many good reviews and like is said it does have its big faults but it also has some great +++ which I am about to name. For starters Hope is easily the best female charecter in recent media outclasing all charecters in media such as game of thrones and it's predecessors to a point where she carries the show through everything and gives of the vibe of a better Hermione Granger with elements from charecters such as the entire Mikealson family and even some other tvd charecters such as Bonnie and Elena but only their best attributes and Danielle Rose Rusell has proven herself more than qualified to act as she is probably behind Nina Dobrev the best actress that played in the tvdu and Nina was compared to Jennifer Lawrences. Besides Danielle there aren't really too many special actors but Aria Shanghasemi, Jenny Boyd, Matt davis, Kayle Bryant, Peyton Alex Smith to name a few among others have done a splendid job and no one can be called a bad cast member in the show. While it does not quite have as great villains as the vampire diaries simply because of the development and historical link at a time when it was more original legacies still does at least compare and has better villains than the originals simply because all originals villains managed to be trash and annoying at times with maybe the exception being Dahlia or Klaus if you count him but overall the originals despite it's popularity failed to have a single good villain who wasn't a part of the Mikealson family in some way, it's storylines after season 2 were a fail, it had as much wasted potential as legacies if not more and centered too much on betrayal + had some very crappy charecters such as Vincent, Davina and Jackson to name a few of the many while legacies despite it's own annoying aspects definitely has better and less annoying side charecters as well as better and more terrifying villains. Legacies also has the best fights out of all 3 shows having fights that managed to be both fun and relatively realistic yet never seeming to be unfair or in any way short lived unlike the vampire diaries where there were generally like 2 minutes of action in a predictable manner before skipping to an emotional or at times cringy scene or the originals where it was either a stomp, a plot armor or a neck snap and legacies also managed to have some amazing refferences to media and episode storylines which would give even supernatural a run for it's money. On top of all this the powers and witches in legacies managed to immprove greatly surpassing that of most spell casters in most media even lord of the rings and Harry Potter which resolve more on such things and overall the new season 3 managed to fix a few if not most problems the show had up to that point with an amzing return from Summer Fontana in one of the CW greatest reffernce based episodes ever tituled a New Hope for fans of a well known trilogy that I won't name. Overall don't listen to haters and be patient as legacies gets better and is one of the best magic themed shows currently on the air in my opinion. Watch it till the end of season 3 to get the right to agree or disagree.
