Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)

Cop out.
22 May 2019
For a show that prided itself on ingenuity and blazing a new trail in television, in the end it turned out to be just a big cop out, catering to the same audience that watches American network television.

Fade to black...
13 May 2019
Don't bother with the final episode, I am going to tell you what happens. Jon, Dany, Tyrion, Arya and Sansa are sitting in the Seinfeld diner. They are arguing about whether real chili can be made with ground turkey. The building shakes and the lights flicker. Camera pans to the door, which is slowly opening. Camera pans back to the booth. Lights flicker, again, and again. Tyrion shouts, "I am the master of my domain". Jon smiles, knowingly. Fade to black...

Not perfect but better than 98% of television.

So I have read many of the reviews here and have to say this right up front--What's up with those of you who complain about plot holes? Games of Thrones is fantasy, it is one gigantic plot hole. You haven't noticed that before? If everything happened the way you think it should, well, there wouldn't be any reason watch. And yet, you watched.

I liked this episode a lot and look forward to the final three. My only complaints are these: (1). As good as it was, it seemed about fifteen minutes too long. (2). Many parts of the battle scenes were too dark, making it hard to decipher what was going on.

Better than okay.

This film was better than I expected but even at 90 minutes, it seemed long. Diana Agron was essentially the movie, in just about every scene, and she was pretty good. I suppose this isn't the most ringing endorsement, but I am not disappointed that I watched this film.

Yes, watch it.

I won't repeat what has been said by others except to say that this is a really good movie and you should watch it. Fresh take on a well worn concept.

Same old, same old.

Same old formulaic spy procedural propelled week to week by the mole that no one seems to figure out. There is always a mole, always. Just once I would like to see one of these types of show without the mole.

Morris Chestnut is okay, as always, in his signature role. Jennifer Carpenter, though, no matter what role she plays is Dexter's sister, always Dexter's sister. Same frown, same glare, same fake crying. She punched above her weight in Dexter and just hasn't competed since.

Good watch.

I like revenge movies. I like Bruce Willis. I like Dean Norris. If you feel the same way, see this film. To the critics who bashed this film, get a real job. Regular folks like me appreciate a good old timey action flick where justice is served and bad guys don't smirk as they walk free out of the courtroom. I think Charles Bronson would approve.

Yes, watch.

Excellent show, well produced, well acted. I won't repeat things said by many others here. I will say though, I kind of wish it was just one season. Oftentimes great shows go off the rails in a second and third season. I hope that doesn't here.

Good, not great.

This film is worth a go, especially at 75 minutes. I enjoyed it but would have done the final scene differently. It needed a little more vengeance.

Like LOST, but different but the same.

Similar but opposite premise to LOST. Instead of the plane and all the people missing, this time it comes back. Like LOST it starts out very promising and begins to go off the rails after several episodes. I would actually like to continue watching but don't know if I will. These are the kinds of shows that should have one or two seasons and be done. When they get good ratings and then go four or five seasons they just get goofy. My Spideysense tells me that will happen here.
