Dil Bechara (2020)
Emotional Roller Coaster
It's more of of movie to feel than to watch. It elicits all of your emotions and falls into must watch category.
What really worked out? : Actually many things, but chemistry between male and female leading actors created a magic spell.
There used to be a time where people used to watch movie to feel their fantasies which they couldn't afford to attain in real life, everyone was expecting happy ending. But era has changed, now people life movies which are grounded into reality.
I wasn't really a fan of Sushant Singh Rajput, but loved his performances in the movie. Yah, there were yet times I felt like expressions went out of the chart. But some of the expressions made me goosebumps.
Sanjana sanghi really did excellent job. It felt real.
Movie literally made me cry, during the last 10 mins of the movie, my vision became blur due to tears.
Yah, Movie should have been impactful, if smaller issues were taken care of.
Thappad (2020)
Average Movie
Movie starts with some characters which are connected through orange candy😝...
This movie got most elements to make it watchable.
Movie got some great casting... Everyone did their best. However Tapsi Pannu (Amu) being a protagonist could have done better. Many times expression seems to be artificial. And same expressions were carried out for too long scene.
Screenplay is just as it needs to be... Movie runs at the same speed from the start to end. However movie failed to elicit emotions from the audience... Like after the slap, Amu just became silent. Offcourse we being an audience can't read her mind. If the movie revealed what's going on her head, that could have impacted better and we should have felt the character.
One slap being a reason for divorce might seem silly, but in life sometimes silliest things matters a lot. Outside the things might looks simple but in reality they are not. Things are not what they seem.
Movie tried to convey (that's what I felt at some point) the very concept of marriage exist in the society itself is a myth. One dialogue in movie says, " All marriages are deals, a contract between two people, love is not mandatory in marriage, you can love without being married, it's an unfair deal. You get some sense of dignity and security."
Movie somehow shows we can't compel our thoughts and way of life into others. Each and everyone has their own way of leading the life.
Movie doesn't have any legal drama or any plot twist or anything, it's a normal movie that's designed in a way it has to be. The substratum has never lost throught the movie. However the ending could have been creative. All I felt like it's a sudden end. All the character arc designed throughout movie just fell into pieces. After investing 142 mins in the movie I deserved better.
Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side (2020)
Best Dark Psycho Thriller Ever
Just Mind-blowing. This series got it's tight screenplay from the start. You get to involve in each of the episodes. It's no less that Hollywood web series. Yah, there are minor errors, apart from that each and every things are crafted with precise.
Casting is just awesome.
Arshad warsi as DJ is good as he has always been.
Barun Sobti as Nikhil Nair steal the show, what an incredible acting. He really needs to get limelight. Throughout the movie he acted so natural and flawless.
Child actor who has done the character of antagonist can't be any less, even eyes says a lot. What a dark acting.
Narrating style of the series is also very good. How they link it to Mythology takes your attention.
Dialogues well written.
It is must watch guys.
Love Mocktail (2020)
Movie is good but not exceptional.
There are many reasons for this movie to be a must watch. Movie got some emotional touch, love melodrama. Some of the scenes will give u goosebumps.
However there are many elements which could have improved. Some of the underwhelming aspects are.
Movie runs about 140 mins, but could have been reduced to 80-90 mins. So many scenes which doesn't contribute for the intent of the movie.
Dialogues are not well crafted. Those are not poetic, so they could have made it much more realistic kind. But many dialogues were simply uttered without any thinking. If I place myself into character and similar circumstances I would have never spoken those words.
For these kind of movies lesser the character better it is. They could have spent more time on developing the relationship between ultimate couples and make audience connect to the fullest.
Movie starts with narrative style, that gives u clue about what will be the ending. I expected all that is going to happen on the very beginning of the movie.
So many glitches, like 1998 set doesn't actually seems like it. It felt like today, child characters are much more matured than ever.
Fighting scenes could have been removed and replaced with something else. For some times I feel like Darshan movie on a smaller scale.
Despite of having all these negatives movie is worth watching.
Dia (2020)
Simple, Subtle and Emotional.
Oops, After watching the movie I regret for not watching in theatre. Every scene in the movie is well crafted. Life is full of problems and pains and at the same time full of surprises and miracles.
Yes, movie is not for the vast range of audience. If you are looking for emotional movie, to feel throughout the movie without thinking anything else outside the world them this is it.
Story is very plain and simple. Screenplay and camerawork is just mind-blowing, the way every scene is created can't be explained in words, it's all about to feel. There can't be any mistakes you can find in the movie.
There is no unnecessary songs, no pj, everything looks legitimate.
Yes, lead roles are done by amateurs, won't say they have done excellent job, but yes they gave justice to the charecter. Each charecter's arc is structured in such a way that you won't feel it colloid in any way.
Dialogues are very well written and decently implemented on the screen, each scenes elicits your emotions and burst into tears.
I really didn't want movie to be ended. It wasn't just a movie, it's emotions, feeling.
Really if I go on writing this space will be abundant. Just watch it and feel it. Even I'm going to watch it again and again.
Shivaji Surathkal (2020)
Not worth of hype createe
First of all the title of the movie is disgusting, Really, "SHIVAJI SURATHKAL", Can't it be better? Sounds like old Darshan Movie title.
Coming to the point movie isnt really a bad one, 8.9 rating as on date is unduly high.
Story line is good, but implementation failed pathetically. Screenplay is dull boring. Dialogues are bookish rather colloquial.
May be if this movie had released 3-4 years back it would have been a good movie, but today everyone expects something better, something different, which is absent in the movie.
Starting 15 mins feels like adoption of Sherlock Holmes which is not tolerable to watch, dialogues delivery by Ramesh is too rough.
Ramesh as a protagonist couldn't deliver what is expected from the character, acting is really horrible, I couldn't believe it is really Ramesh.
Movie had a grip all over, but last 15-20 mins was just like to impress the audience, movie just wanted audience to get satisfied without any creativity. Plots were boring.
Movie is watchable, but not in theatre spending money in theatre.
Pailwaan (2019)
Nothing can be worse
Thank god, I didn't go to theatre, didn't have interest to watch in mobile. But I was home and family members were watching and I was forced to. it's typical south Indian movie in as worst as possible. Protagonist in the movie can do anything. Though he is ordinary man director portrayed like a super hero. Better to sleep rather watching this movie.
Mookajjiya Kanasugalu (2019)
Awesome Experience.
It's been a while since I have written a review. I usually write when it is either worst or awesome, this one is later one. It isn't just a movie, it's an experience, feeling and what not. Everything is top notch. Each and every character looks natural. Literally liked everything in the movie.
Chhichhore (2019)
Nice movie to watch.
This movie is blend of comedy, emotions, story and strong message. But still could have been better one. If minute details were worked upon, could have been one of the epic movies of all time. But still its pleasant to watch these kind of movies in these days.
Evaru (2019)
Remake of Badla/invisible Guest in pathetic way
This movie is remake of Badla, which in terns remake of invisible guest.
I haven't watched invisible guest, but watched badla. But they have changed little bit of it. But everything is disappointing, Protagonist is too enough to carry the role, Tapsi did much better, Casting was not upto the mark.
Dream Girl (2019)
Entertaining
Worth watch. First half is awesome, the way Ayushman carried the whole movie is incredible.
Goodachari (2018)
Worth watch
I don't say it is excellent, but good. Could have done better. Climax could have been better.
Dear Comrade (2019)
Not a worth watch.
Simply dragged the movie to 2.45 hrs. Nothing there in the movie. Don't know why still it has good rating. Its typical south indian movie, with some modern touch which makes no sense. Entire movie revolves here and there without any logic behind it.
Gubbi Mele Brahmastra (2019)
Pleasant to watch.
This movie is not based on typical story line, there is no story to be frank, movie revolves here and there without any logic. But its fun to watch. Raj Shetty has nailed his role. His dialogue delivery made everyone to laugh, his innocent expression through the film is commendable. Nothing can be better than this if you just wanna go and laugh in the theater.
Kurukshetra (2019)
Honest Review: Worst VFX, Worst acting, Worst...
I wasn't really kind of person who write long essay type of review, but after looking at the rating i was shocked, people are making everyone fools. Maybe reviews till date given by so called die hard fans. But i'm writing what i really think about the movie.
First of all don't ever make a mistake going for the 3D if you wanna watch how bad it is, 3D is too worst that many times screen looks blur. Name Duryodhana would have been more suitable than "Kurukshetra". First of all one can't really put Mahabharatha, an epic mythology into 3 hrs movie, there is too much to tell about the story, though Kurukshetra war is a part which is part which is more concentrated upon, without back stories nothing would be fruitful.
Character arc was too poor. Duryodhana was given too much build but, don't know is that because that a character requires or for Darshan. Though crew has many famous actors, none could really succeed with character. Darshan being center of the movie failed in dialogue delivery. Script writing is below average. While making such a mythological character, one should really focus on language. Sometimes Kannada used in the movie sounds like modern kinda....
Detailing in many places are missing, and screen time was wasted in Abhimanyu, Nikhil doesn't fit for that character in the first place and nearly 20 minutes out f 3 hrs isn't worth giving. Not even one song was necessary, though some songs are good. VFX, CGI, Animation or whatever it is, is really pathetic. Even in 2019 this kind of graphics are not tolerable. Palace was looks like Cartoon kind of thing.
Costume design is also very poor. It looks like kind which is being used in Drama. Could have made some research on this.
Direction, screenplay, Cinematography made the movie not to watch.
We should actually tell the world about our great Mythology, but its shame to tell this is a type of movie that we make.
I hope at least Netflix or hotstar make a webseries of Complete Mahabharatha and tell the whole world about this Epic story.
Shivalinga (2016)
Average
Not a great movie, one time watchable. But considering south south movie it's better to watch.
