X-Men '97: Bright Eyes (2024)
Rogue gets to shine!
One thing I love about this show, is how much love and care they dedicate to the side characters! Whenever someone thinks about X men, they usually think off Charles, Magneto and Wolverine! However this show, gives a lot of development to the minor characters like, Jean, storm and in this case.. Rogue!
Her development after the events of episode 5 makes perfect sense! The last scene with her in that episode, was a heartbreaking moment, so now we see her in a vengefull state, with one clear goal!
Great moments with other characters as well, and a surprissing cameo that fits the episode rather than feeling shoe-horned!
Amazing animation and visuals! The action never dissapoint and only seem to improve!
The ending sets up an exciting last part of the season! If they nail it, this could be contender for best first season of a TV show, best animated superhero show and one of thf best Marvel projects!
Hannibal: Mizumono (2014)
This finale was the best, TV has ever offered!!
An absolutely crazy experience! I almost feel numb.. unable to move or do anything, only think about all the things i just witnessed! Being left amazed and heartbroken at the same time!
The first episode gave away what is gonna happen, however the build-up towards it was unclear, giving us a tense first half of the episode, as you just wait for everything to explode and come crashing down!
The second half was an experience that deserves the highest praise imaginable! It was like dominos.. falling, revealing one crazy event after another!
This was the relationship between Will and Hannibal being put to the ULTIMATE test! This is where we see them both at their most vulnerable moment! Mads Mikkelsen was incredible as Hannibal! I LOVED the scene where he declairs his true feelings for Will! It was heartbreaking!
This was PEAK Hannibal and some of the finest TV you can ask for!
Hannibal: Tome-wan (2014)
I had to look away!
This episode was a wild journey and a perfect set-up for the finale! However thid episode also contained the most brutal, stomachturning and crazy scene yet!
This episode proves just how complex the relationship between Hannibal and Will! Its nothing like your usual relationship and therefore it is clear that you should not expect the usual outcome! After all this time, they are more intertwined... than friends.. or foes!
The final scene with Mason was.. yeah go see it for yourself! Mason has proved himself very unlikeable at this point, so it was a treat to see Hannibal go all out and show just how dark his tendensies can be!
This last scene also marks an important point in the relationship between Will and Hannibal!
Hannibal: Yakimono (2014)
Just as planned!
The only one who knows how things will play out... is Hannibal! No more than this episode, do you realize that all this was his design, and this is the outcome he wanted, once again manipulating those around him!
The discovery of the previous episode plays a major role, as does the interactions between Hannibal and Frederick Chilton! Right when things seem to go one way, something else happens!
This was the finale of the first half of the season, and feels like the culmination of the previous episodes! The shocking moments are here, and I was still left surprised, despite having an idea of what would happen!
Hannibal: Futamono (2014)
Another episode that proves why this show is a must watch!
This was another gripping experience, with surprising development and a shocking end!
Mads Mikkelsen continues to capture Hannibal really well! To me he was really cold and sinister, especially in that "Dinner scene" with Gideon, that almodt felt like an out of body experience, do to how.. extreme it was!
Jack also starts to feel that things may not be quite what they seem, which leads to some great scenes with him and Hannibal, who always seem one step ahead!
The ending was shocking and proved to me, that you should expect anything from this show! This was another masterclass episode of television!
Hannibal: Mukozuke (2014)
The way things evolve..
Another great episode that pretty much had me on edge the entire time, cause I felt like the episode was over really fast!
Once again this show, does its own thing, presenting things to us, that no other show have managed to do quite like this, or quite as effectively!
I dont think any other show could pull of a death scene like this! It leaves you both horrorfied, shocked and yet... you also admire it!
The mindgames continue and the dialogue is just brilliant! Fascinating and intrigueging to see who outsmarts who!
The ending was great, thrilling and gives q sense of far Will has come and how far he is willing to go!
Hannibal: Takiawase (2014)
A story of life and death!
This was a thoughtprovoking experience, with themes and commentary that ended up sticking with me after the episode ended!
I felt like this was a story of life and how to meet peace when it ends! This was captured, both through the killer, as well as the return of Bella, who is terminaly ill, and knows that death will come, but not when or where! This was about taking "pain away" and how only death could provide true comfort!
The stuff with Hannibal was amazing too, as he only gets more and more sinister and scary! That ending was thrilling and nailbiting, even if I know it can only have one outcome!
Hannibal: Sakizuke (2014)
Horrorfying art!
The opening scene was really gruesome and hard to watch! This proves how season 2 is no less dark, gory og stomachturning, than season 1!
Hannibal once again gets the best scenes and moments! The scenes with him and the "mural-killer" as well as the ones with De Maurie, was the ones that stood out the clearest, as they capture Hannibal perfectly in my opinion! His intimidating, almost threatening presence, and his unorthodox taste in art qnd details!
Will also gets more to do as he tries to solve the murder, and hopes that Beverly might trust him and suspect Hannibal!
Overall a strong second episode in a season that only gets better!
Hannibal: Kaiseki (2014)
Continues the high quality!
Season kicks off with one hell of a sequence that shows, that this season will end with an absolut insane episode!
The rest of the episode is great too as Will is confined and tries to remember what happened doing his black-out with Abigail! You can also tell how distant he has become from the others, cause of how they treat him! Hannibal continues to play his game!
The murders are also memorable once you realize what the killer is doing! Disturbing scene at the end!
Gillian Andersons character also had some memorable moments as she starts to suspects that Hannibal might not tell everything as they are!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Hajimari wa Ano Hi! Vivi ga Kataru Boukentan! (2002)
A sign of friendship!
Wow! I have never felt so emotional looking at single frame before! This was the core of the show, portrayed in such a powerfull way that I could not hold back my tears! This was the culmination of the entire journey so far!
What has always held these characters together? FRIENDSHIP! They love and respect each other! One telling the other that, that person is your friend, is the greatest thing you can do!
The finale scene will forever stay with me! It was tears as I realized just how much these characters and their bond, ment to me! When the OP 1 kicked in, i just could not help myself!
Bon-Clay also got a great scene, capturing that same sense of unity and friendship!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Koeteiku! Arabasta ni Ame ga Furu! (2002)
OUTSTANDING EPISODE!
Wow! This was a climactic episode, that was build-up over this whole arc! This was the stuff that the people from Toei was saving up in terms of quality!
Everything in this episode worked! It was an emotional, tense and satisfying experience! 23min not wasted a bit all the way from Vivi screaming for peace, to Luffy going beyond against Crocodile, to the emotional end!
The soundtrack was strangely good! The soundtrack used for the finale fight worked surprisingly well and elevated the whole experience to the point where I had to go back and see it again!
Please go treat yourself with this incredible experience!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Idainaru Tsubasa! Waga Na wa Kuni no Shugoshin Pell (2002)
The end draws near!
You can tell that things are about to end soon, as the canonball is about to shoot, and Luffy has once again engaged Crocodile in battle!
This episode also focused more on Vivi and her goals, as she is faced with the possibility of loosing someone or something that she cares about! She will do anything to achieve peace, but it is clear that it will not be without sacrifices!
The bomb and clock also added a layer of tension, with a thrilling twist near the end! That finale scene with Pell just elevated the whole episode! Worth to see just to see that! We didn't know much about him, but he will always be remembered for that!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Suna Wani to Mizu Luffy! Kettou Dai 2 Round (2002)
Luffy back in ACTION!
After a lot of episodes, where Luffy didn't appear do to the outcome of his first battle with Crocodille, i started to realize how big a part of the show he is, how enjoyable he is, his powerfull presence at times, and how much I missed him!
Seeing him return was amazing, seeing him in action was even better! The animation and action was solid! It was thrilling, exciting with memorable shots and visuals! It was also a different fight from the first, simce he knows what he is up against!
The stuff about Nico Robin was interesting as well, showing us she did not have any ordinary past! Hope we learn more!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Gouken no Gokui! Koutetsu o Kiru Chikara to Mono no Kokyuu (2002)
Incredible!
Out of all the battles, where our characters had to face the Baroque work agents, this was without a doubt, the best one!
Everything from development, to action to animation.. all of it was perfect! This was also the most bloody fight i have seen so far, with Zoro getting seriously injured to the point I am lost for words, on how he remains standing!
This episode sees Zoro looking back on his training as a kid, to achieve the ultimate ability as a swordsman! He is pushed beyond his limits, but finds wisdom and resolve in the toughest of situations!
Alabasta has really been great with a lot of development and pay-off for our characters!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Nasake Muyou no Shitou! Luffy vs Crocodile (2002)
Who do you think I am?
This episode was intense, thrilling and honestly edge of your seat, as we get the stuff we have been waiting for, for so long, as Luffy faces his greatest adversary yet!
The fight was incredible with so e of the best animation i have seen so far from this show! It really showed us, how the characters were moving, giving us a great idea of just how powerfull Crocodille is, and how Luffy's usual technique, does not provide the same outcome as we have seen so far!
I loved the colours and setting! It creates a very memorable atmosphere for this episode!
The ending took me off guard! I was shocked! When the credits rolled, i could feel the chills through my body!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Utopia Sakusen Hatsudou! Ugokidashita Uneri (2002)
The spark of war.. has been lit!
This was a thrilling episode, where you can feel the stakes getting raised, as Crocodilles plan is set in motion! His plan for Alabasta, that will allow him to come out on top!
This felt like the episode, that we have been building towards so far, in terms of the situation in Alabasta with the rebels, and the kings deeds! You can really ffel the frustration, desperation and conflict!
This episode was also darker, as Crocodilles goes all out to ensure that Operation Utopia commences as he envisioned!
Now things have really begun to get exciting and I am thrilled to see where it goes from here!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Ace to Luffy! Atsuki Omoi to Kyoudai no Kizuna (2002)
Fire Fist Ace!
This was a great way to follow up on the previous episode, with more development on Ace and some firery well animated action, that might be some of the best in this show so far!
I enjoyed the scenes with Ace and Luffy as itshows how close they qre, even if we know very little about Ace! You can tell in their actions that they have always been close!
This episode also shows rven more of Ace's power, and just how powerfull he actually is! The animation was amazing and I love how you see just how he moves! There is just something about people with fire-abilities.. it always looks so captivating!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Gouketsu-tachi no Saikai! Yatsu no Na wa Hiken no Ace (2001)
Memorable display of power!
This is where I feel that Alabasta has really kicked off, with some great and surprising development and some great animation!
This episode introduces Ace, qnd who he is, which has me really excited for how he will be used in the story, as well as his relationship with Luffy!
I also found this episode rather hillarious at times, especially when Smoker just stands there, obviously annoyed that Luffy is eating, and couldn't be bothered less!
However the show-stealer, is when Ace shows his powers! Wow! The animation was some lf the best in the show so far! Very fluent and vibrant images! Its obvious they went a bit harder with this one!
Hannibal: Savoureux (2013)
Amazing finale!
This was a shocking and eventfull finale that both felt like the thing it was all building towards, while still took me by surprise, where I had no idea what was going on, but that the consequences would be felt!
This was the culmination of Will's unstable mind and Hannibal pulling the strings! Hannibal managed to cerment himself as a highly intelligent character! It feels like everything happened the way he planned it! He got all the information about the case, and acted acordingly!
The finale scene was perhaps the best of the entire episode, promissing an intense and thrilling second season!
X-Men '97: Lifedeath - Part 2 (2024)
I am LIGHTNING!
After last weeks INSANE episode, I kinda knew that this episode would not reach the same level! However this was still a great and enjoyable story, even if it didn't pick up where the previous one left off!
This episode was the first to really introduce the cosmic elements and the return of a certain character! I am very excited to see where this goes! It felt like the introduction to something that will play a larger role later on! Some great philosophies of co-excistence and how those witt power, always feel like they have the right to use it, for their own personal needs!
Storm also gets some great moments and scenes! I was really hyped amd excited at one point! Sometimes the toughest challenge, provides the greatest reward!
Now the end shows us that things could get very serious!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Hiluluk no Sakura! Drum Rocky no Kiseki (2001)
The only right way to end it!
This whole arc has been something truely special to me! It was very different from what the show previously had delivered! It was a deep and powerfull story with themes and ideals that resonated with me in a way only few shows have been able to!
This was the end of the story with Chopper and the significance of Dr. Hiluluk and Kureha! Those two had both shaped him and gave him something that no other human had done before!
Chopper never forgot what Hiluluk told him, and to see his ultimate goal realized broke him.. and me! This was a tearfull experience! One i will never forget!
Now I see why watching this show was one of the best decisions i have made!
Hannibal: Relevés (2013)
Pieces falling into place?
This episode felt like a slow intense build-up towards the truth as well as the consequences of the things we have seen so far!
Now we really got to see who Hannibal is, and he has been up to! This saw what consequences will's unstable mind has had for him, as he finally gets some clearity in terms of evidence and motives on the Cheasapeeke Ripper! This is where Hannibals manipulation... starts to pay off, even if we are still left to see the ultimate consequence!
I am also starting to enjoy Gillian Andersons character! Her role is small, but she has a certain presence that makes the scenes with her, intrigueing!
Now for the finale.. too see if Will is able to connect the dots!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Versus Wapol Gundan! Bakubaku no Mi no Nouryoku! (2001)
One act, speak louder than any words!
This was actually quite a solid follow-up to one of the best stories told! Due to the backstory, everything just hit different, cause we know what happened in the past, and the significance of it all!
Luffy's act near the end was very powerfull and meaningfull! This is the case of one simple act, speaking louder than any words could possibly do! Luffy might not know what that flag means.. but we do! We know what him, defending that flag TRUELY means!
This is overall a very written story, and i am very pleased at how this arc turned out!
The animation is also really good, more details and overall memorable frames and scenes!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Hiluluk no Sakura to Uketsugareyuku Ishi! (2001)
I think I cried..
I never imagined that this episode would hit me as hard as it did! This was an emotional, tearjearking journey beyond anything that I had imagined!
Chopper loved Dr. Hiruluk! As the first person who treated him.. as a person, he earned a very special place in his heart! A place that will never dissapear! He wanted to become the best of what he was! He dedicated his life to what Hiruluk wanted!
The themes portrayed in the episode, were surprisingly mature! Its the kind of experience that will forever stick with you! I can understand those who really got influenced by this tragic, beautifull and powerfull story!
This might be one of the greatest flashback stories i have seen in a show!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Hamidashi Mono no Yume! Yabuisha Hiluluk! (2001)
Emotional!
This episode was something different than what I had seen before in this show! The story of Chopper is nothing like the story of our other characters!
This was an emotional rollercoaster! One scene could be funny qnd light-hearted, and then the next could be dark and sad!
This was a story of finding acceptance in a world that does not accept you! This was the story of life, and what makes life beatifull! What can heal your heart, so that you can find the strength to keep on living!
Dr. Hiruluk also managed to make an impression with his ideals, philosophies and goal!
Now I dont think I am ready for the next one..
