Minority Report (2002)
What a story
This story is so deep and perfectly plotted. Spielberg's most underrated film. I don't like sci-fi but this a good old fashioned mystery beneath the surface. Everyone is at the top of their game here. Not to be missed.
When They See Us: Part Three (2019)
Enough with the music!
The first episode hooked me. The second one was well done also but this one was so heavy-handed. Full of slow motion and overly dramatic scenes. But the worst part was the music. I don't think a minute went by without the infusion of music to supposedly Drive the scene. It seems as if they did not trust scene itself and the actors to move it along. Too much showy direction.
A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne (2009)
Not bad, but...
This movie did manage to keep my interest. I guess the acting was fine and the fact the story is true helped. However it was so heavy-handed and over-directed. Lots of odd camera angles and slow motion. And waaayyy to much music. It's as if they did not trust the actors to carry the scenes. It seems a minute did not go by without overly dramatic music. Plus there were some songs that were really bad.
