Exclusive: Here’s some more intriguing casting for Luc Besson’s big-budget reimagining of the Dracula story, Dracula – A Love Tale.
Zoë Bleu (Gonzo Girl), daughter of actress Rosanna Arquette, is joining as Elisabeta/Mina, while rising Italian actress Matilda De Angelis, who plays the lead in Agbo and Amazon’s upcoming Citadel: Diana, will play Mina’s friend Maria. These are the roles played by Winona Ryder and Sadie Frost, respectively, in Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 version (though Mina’s friend in that film and the book is called Lucy).
As we revealed in February, Caleb Landry Jones (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri) is playing Dracula and two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) is understood to be playing the role of a priest.
Lucy and Leon filmmaker and Taken creator Besson is in pre-production on the movie, which will shoot next month in France. Additional casting is underway.

While two of Monty Python’s most famous former members, Eric Idle and John Cleese, are embroiled in a very public feud, it wasn’t always this way. In recent weeks, Idle has been vocal about how he feels the Monty Python estate is being handled, with him targeting Terry Gilliam and his daughter, Holly, who manages the rights, directly. John Cleese jumped to their aid, writing on X (perhaps in a tongue-in-cheek way) that (referring to Idle) “we always loathed and despised each other, but it’s only recently that the truth has begun to emerge.”
Now, this might need to be taken with a grain of salt, as Cleese has a notoriously dry wit. Let’s not forget that he eulogized his best friend, Graham Chapman, by saying, “Good riddance to him, the freeloading bastard! I hope he fries.” That was lovingly tongue-in-cheek, although Idle and Cleese always...

Prince Harry has dropped his libel claim against the publisher of the Mail on Sunday, according to the paper’s sister title, the Daily Mail.
The Duke of Sussex had sued Associated Newspapers Limited over an article published in the Mail on Sunday relating to his security arrangements in the UK following he and wife Meghan Markle’s move to LA. His lawyers, Schillings, claimed the article unfairly alleged he had tried to mislead the public.
Associated Newspapers declined to comment today, but the Daily Mail reported Harry’s legal team had filed notice of discontinuance hours before they were due to pass over a list of documents, which could have featured in the eventual trial.
Harry’s legal team had claimed the article suggested he had “contradicted public statements he had previously made about his willingness to pay for police protection for himself and his family whilst in the...

[Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for “Saltburn,” “Fair Play,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” and “Bram Stoker’s Dracula.”]
All’s fair in love, war, and other bloody battles, according to the not-quite-feminist trend of watching period sex play out onscreen.
Two of the year’s buzziest films — Chloe Domont’s Sundance stunner “Fair Play” and Emerald Fennell’s recent (and very viral) “Saltburn” — exist in the same vein (quite literally) of destigmatizing period sex, showing off cunnilingus onscreen. And yet, both films argue that the man performing this specific sexual act isn’t just pleasuring the woman in question: He’s actually taking her life force. Is that only reinforcing the symbolism of menstrual blood being a marker of the so-called “weaker sex”?
“Saltburn” has been billed as a sort of “vampire movie” by filmmaker Fennell. The scene in question shows Oliver (Barry Keoghan) taking a bite out of his current prey: Venetia (Alison Oliver), the sister of his real obsession,...

On Friday, a British judge ruled that a lawsuit filed by Prince Harry and five other public figures against a newspaper publisher should go to a full trial.
Joined by Elton John, John’s husband David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost, Prince Harry alleged that Associated Newspapers Ltd. unlawfully gathered information through bugs placed in their homes and cars, recorded phone conversations and obtained medical records through deceitful means.
Prince Harry alleged that the publisher deliberately targeted him and his inner circle when they hacked voicemails, tapped landlines and obtained detailed phone bills and flight information related to his then-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.
Associated Newspapers vehemently denied these accusations and requested the judge to dismiss the case.
At the hearings in March, the Associated Newspapers’ lawyers argued that the claims – some of which dated back to 1993 – were filed too late and that the claimants were reliant on confidential evidence that...

Prince Harry looks set for a courtroom battle with The Daily Mail newspaper’s publisher in the UK.
The British royal’s damages claim over allegations of unlawful information gathering can go ahead to trial, a High Court judge ruled Friday.
As the BBC reports, Prince Harry is among a group of high-profile individuals, including Sir Elton John, David Furnish, Sadie Frost, Liz Hurley, and Sir Simon Hughes, who have brought legal action against Associated Newspapers Limited (Anl). The group has accused the publisher of multiple “gross breaches of privacy” such as hiring private investigators to place listening devices inside cars, listening into phone calls, and dishonestly obtaining medical and financial information.
Associated Newspapers has denied all the allegations. At hearings in March, its lawyers argued that the claims — which date as far back as 1993 — were brought “far too late,” The Guardian reported. The newspaper added that David Sherborne, representing Prince Harry and others,...

Prince Harry‘s trip to the United Kingdom as part of a hearing in his claim against Associated Newspapers hasn’t stopped his brother, Prince William, from enjoying his family holiday. William and Harry have reportedly not met face-to-face after the publication of Harry’s Spare autobiography, which depicted William poorly. William reportedly has no plans to see Harry and is spending time with his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three children. A royal biographer says William sees “no reason” to let Prince Harry “spoil” his time off.

Actor Jude Law is a dad to six children, having welcomed his youngest little one with his wife, Phillipa Coan, in 2020. Jude shares his other five children with three women. Altogether, his kids range in age from 26 to two years old.
Hit franchises like Sherlock Holmes and Fantastic Beasts, as well as Christmas classics like "The Holiday," have cemented Jude as one of Hollywood's A-list actors. Still, as far as his children are concerned, he mainly keeps them out of the spotlight, choosing not to divulge much info about them. We do know a little bit about his brood, though.
Jude's oldest children are somewhat in the public eye - as models with their parents' exceptionally good looks - while the younger ones lead more private lives (though you might spot some on their mother's Instagram here and there). Get to know Jude's six children ahead.

Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 all-star retelling features an outstanding performance from Oldman as the tormented count
Francis Ford Coppola’s vampire tale is now revived in cinemas for its 30th anniversary, with Gary Oldman the fierce and anguished count who hundreds of years ago renounced God and embraced an eternity of parasitic horror in his rage at the unjust death of his countess (played by Winona Ryder). Dressed like the Pierrot from hell in his vast Transylvanian castle, Dracula then buys property in Victorian London, and appears there in the style of a sinister young dandy, on the scent of a woman who looks exactly like his late wife: the winsome Mina (Ryder again), fiancee to the equally demure young lawyer who journeyed to Romania to draw up Dracula’s contracts: Jonathan, played by Keanu Reeves.
