Bam Margera may be moving out of his jackass phase, posting videos this week that showed he still has chops on the skateboard. At 44 and with far too many years of substance abuse to his name, Margera may not move as quickly as he once did, but it is awesome to see he can still work the deck.
Bam Margera posted two videos on Instagram this week, continuing a steady run of clips that have given fans promising updates on his health, both physically and mentally. And his followers have been extremely supportive, saying the videos remind them of Margera’s better days. Check out Margera’s moves below:

Hi, I'm (not) Johnny Knoxville, and welcome to (an article about) "Jackass"!
Somehow, over 20 years after the boundary-pushing reality stunt comedy series that launched Knoxville's career debuted on that dusty relic known as MTV, "Jackass" is still going. And not just the franchise; Knoxville and much of his original crew have continued to actively throw themselves into harm's way to entertain the masses. In fact, "Jackass Forever" emerged as one of the saviors of the 2022 box office, keeping the art of the R-rated guffawfest alive in typical topsy-turvy "Jackass" fashion. It's not just creaky Gen-Xers and Millennials like myself; even today's youths agree, the dudes rock.
With Knoxville and his boys now in their 40s and 50s, though, it begs the question: Exactly how much longer can they keep poking death and severe physical injury in the eye, and walk away laughing? At this stage, the "Jackass" crew seems to...

The "Jackass" franchise is a wild ride that started with a late-night MTV series but has become a full-fledged force of nature in its own right, and a crucial part of that magnificent maelstrom is Steve-o, born Steven Glover. It's almost impossible to define the charismatic performer — he's one part circus clown, one part stuntman, one part comedian, and his unique brand of entertaining helps make this franchise what it is. He has done some disgusting and terrifying things in the name of making all of us laugh, and in his new unrated multimedia comedy special, "Steve-o's Bucket List," he's allegedly going even wilder than he did on "Jackass," which should really be something. But what about the "Jackass" franchise? Is there a film that he feels is the pinnacle, or do they just continue to improve upon the previous incarnation?

The Jackass series debuted on MTV in 2000, quickly becoming one of the most popular television shows. It followed the antics of a group of friends as they engaged in outrageous stunts, pranks, and dangerous physical challenges. The show cast included Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-o, Chris Pontius, Wee Man, Dave England, Preston Lacy, and Ryan Dunn.
Despite parental and political worries about the show’s potential impact on younger viewers, it quickly skyrocketed in popularity. After three seasons of wading through constant censorship notes from MTV, Knoxville and his pals decided to end their run; thus began, Jackass’ successful transition to the silver screen era.
The Jackass franchise spawned several movies that were released between 2002 and 2022, in the following order:

Bam Margera has revealed that just last December he was pronounced dead, only to live to tell the story. Margera recently sat down for an interview with fellow jackass Steve-o on his podcast “Wild Ride” to discuss his near-death/actual death experience.
“I was pronounced dead on Dec. 8,” Bam Margera said. “I did not know that I had gnarly Covid and my body was shutting down. I went into four seizures, each one lasting 10 to 20 minutes. On the fourth one I bit my tongue so hard it was nearly fallen off. It got so swollen and puffy it wouldn’t fit in my mouth. I was drinking the infected blood which gave me pneumonia as well.” Margera continued in detail, “I went to the hospital and had my fifth seizure and then couldn’t breathe without a tube down my throat. Johnny Knoxville may be making a “Jackass” of himself again. The star of Hulu’s “Reboot” is reportedly filming a new prank-based project in Long Beach, according to an unlikely source — a lawsuit against the actor from a TaskRabbit handyman.
As reported by Variety, a handyman named Khalil Khan filed a suit against Knoxville in the Long Beach Superior Court for emotional distress after an alleged on-camera prank.
According to the lawsuit, Khan went to a home after signing up for a repair job on TaskRabbit in October, where the homeowner asked him to fix a dimmer switch and threatened to beat him up if he didn’t properly repair it, saying, “I know jiu-jitsu.” After the threat, Khan experienced a variety of bizarre occurrences: a lamp went out, and a girl showed up claiming Khan killed her pony and led him to a room where a horse was being put on life support,...

Jeff Tremaine’s “Jackass Forever” opens with a sequence that accurately sets the tone for the motion picture magic to come. As with all of the sketches that compose this plotless clip reel of brilliant American idiocy, you know that something foul and/or unfathomably painful is about to go down in the cheesy “Godzilla” parody that kicks things off — longtime “Jackass” fans might even be able to guess what it will be — but it still hits with a childlike wave of wonder and revulsion when you see it unfold. It’s no wonder that the film’s biggest laugh comes when someone reacts to a wildly elaborate prank by shouting, in all sincerity, “I knew that was gonna happen!”
In this case, the gag is that the kaiju terrorizing downtown New York is actually Chris Pontius’ flaccid penis (painted green and puppeteered on strings with on-screen help from “Being...

Down with the patriarchy! Unless, of course, they themselves are down with torturing each other for our amusement, in which case, welcome back, Johnny Knoxville and Friends!
A dignity massacre just in time for St. Valentine’s Day, the sociological documentary “Jackass Forever” is an all-new collection of raucously perilous prankery from its modern masters, twelve years after the last one (“Jackass 3D”).
One can only assume the long pause was to give the gang a chance to get their nerve back up, while roping in diverse new comrades to the comedic possibilities of extreme, how-is-this-insurable slapstick.
To put it bluntly: If this is for you, it’s hilarious; if it’s not for you, it’s still hilarious. Just stay away. It’s been a hard couple of years dealing with an unseen menace, so there should be no shame in the cathartic laughter to be found in a...

"Jackass Forever" is notable in several ways. First, it's allegedly the last "Jackass" we'll ever see, and one glimpse at Johnny Knoxville's salt-and-pepper hair provides plenty of reason for that. Any of these jokers can handle a fall, but as the years go on, it takes longer to get back up. Second, the movie contains two noticeable absences: Ryan Dunn, who died in 2011, and Bam Margera who, despite being removed from production after an alleged breach of his wellness contract, will still have one stunt seen in the final product. But a few new additions have been added to the roster with an eye towards...

The “Jackass Forever” trailer dropped Tuesday and the stunts — which include 49-year-old Johnny Knoxville getting shot out of a giant canon — have made us nostalgic for the good ol’ days.
“When is the last time you got together with old friends to laugh your asses off?” the trailer teases, while promising the same “Jackass” mayhem, just with a silver-haired Knoxville this time. Bullfights, attacking snakes, exploding furniture and tongue electrocution are just a few of the stunts that the “Jackass” crew has up their sleeve, not to mention Machine Gun Kelly getting booted into a pool after in a bicycle slap stunt.
While the “Jackass” pranksters have been ever present in the public eye — even pulling off their own stunts during this year’s Shark Week — “Jackass Forever” marks the franchise’s first film in over 10 years, following “Jackass 3D” in 2010. Paramount Pictures announced on Wednesday that it is pushing back the release of the upcoming fourth “Jackass” film from its initial March 2021 date to July 2, 2021.
First announced in December, the film marks the return of the hit 2000s MTV series for the first time since “Jackass 3D” in 2010 and the death of cast member Ryan Dunn a year later. Paramount has not announced which members of the show’s original cast, led by Johnny Knoxville, will return for the new film or if director Jeff Tremaine will take part.
Paramount also announced a smaller push for the upcoming adaptation of Tom Clancy’s “Without Remorse,” moving it back two weeks to a release on October 2, 2020. The moves come as Hollywood studios have pushed back the release of dozens of films in various stages of production in response to the coronavirus pandemic, which has closed movie theaters worldwide.

The new film is set to hit the big screen on March 5, 2021, however, no additional details — including an official title — have been released.
Created by Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze, and Jeff Tremaine, the reality series originally aired on MTV in 2000 and the cast put out the first Jackass feature film in 2002. Tremaine directed the first installment, Jackass: The Movie, as well as Jackass Number Two in 2006 and Jackass 3D in 2010.

Just when you thought those iconic words – “Hello, I’m Johnny Knoxville and welcome to Jackass” – would never be uttered again, it sounds like we’ll indeed be hearing them once more, and soon. That’s according to Deadline, who are reporting tonight that Paramount has now made Jackass 4 official by handing it a release date of March 5th, 2021.
While most of the death-defying baboons in the group have continued to find work in the years since Jackass 3D saw theaters, which was way back in 2010, fans have long been calling for a fourth outing. Paramount announced on Wednesday evening that it will be reviving the MTV reality series “Jackass” for a new feature film slated for release on March 5, 2021.
Beyond the title and release date, no other details on the film were given by the studio, including whether the show’s original cast would be involved. Created by Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze, “Jackass” originally aired on MTV from 2000-2002 and spawned a trilogy of films released in 2003, 2006 and 2010 that were all produced at budgets of under $20 million and combined to gross $335 million at the global box office.
If the new project were to involve the original cast, it would be their first collaboration since the death of cast member Ryan Dunn in a car crash in 2011. Knoxville appeared in a 2013 spinoff film titled “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa,” but the brand has not been used since. In 2018, Knoxville starred in a “Jackass...

There’s still a chance that the iconic opening words, “Hello, I’m Johnny Knoxville and welcome to Jackass” may be uttered again on the big screen. That’s according to former cast member Chris Raab (also known as Raab Himself), who says that a lot of the key players are at least interested in doing Jackass 4.
Since their painfully silly times in the limelight ended, each of the death-defying baboons have continued producing cringeworthy content – especially leader Johnny Knoxville, whose latest film Action Point was difficult to watch for other reasons. But Raab has spent a great deal of his time working on his own podcast, Bathroom Break, which launched in 2018.

In another death knell for raunchy comedies at the box office, Paramount’s Johnny Knoxville stunt comedy Action Point is hitting the skids in the worst way this weekend, opening to $2.2M.
That’s the lowest wide release debut of the star’s career, and a major setback for the prankster whose four Jackass films have made the studio close to a half billion dollars worldwide off combined budgets just north of $50M over a 16-year period. That weekend result is even lower than Paramount’s prestige misfires last year, mother! ($7.5M opening) and Suburbicon ($2.8M), even though those catered to different audiences.
Action Point arrives without the Jackass label because it only stars Knoxville and Chris Pontius and not the whole gang, and that’s one of the reasons why the pic’s fans are staying away, even though Paramount earnestly billed the comedy as “From the Star of Jackass” in trailers.

Don't worry guys, your early-2k man crush is a-okay! Fans panicked on May 28 believing that Cky, Jackass, and Viva La Bam star Bam Margera had met his untimely demise. It all started when Hulk Hogan posted an old photo with Bam with the caption "damn Bam, I wish you were still with us, I sure would love to hang out again, miss you brother." However, it didn't take long for him to realize that what happened was that he was mixing Bam (who is very much alive) up with his deceased co-star Ryan Dunn, who tragically passed away as the result of a car accident in 2011. Although he woke up from the coma, Margera remained in critical condition as his health continued to deteriorate in recent weeks.

Vincent Margera -- the uncle of Bam Margera who appeared in "Jackass" -- has died ... TMZ has learned. Vincent became famous for pranks he pulled off with Bam on the TV show and later the "Jackass" movies as well as "Viva La Bam". It's a double blow for Bam, who lost his best friend and co-star Ryan Dunn, who was killed in a car crash. Vincent has been struggling with kidney and liver failure for several years.

On what would have been the 38th birthday of Ryan Dunn, his Jackass pals Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, and Bam Margera remembered their late friend via social media on Thursday, June 11. "Because of the feeling, fixed by social example, that (Violence) was the only quite correct, the only really decent relief for wounded honor—the only one which did not imply some subtle derogation, some dulling and retracting of the fine edge of pride, some indefinable but intolerable loss of caste and manly face.” —Wilbur Cash, The Mind of the SouthThe first thing we see either in the show or the movies is the fabled warning about the stunts that are about to be performed—which indicates a priestly marking off of sacred space. These are priests or something or other. Only they can do this. This most High Tomfoolery. So there is always that, but what makes Jackass 3D unusually moving, even pathos-ridden, is it’s clear this is a sort of Last Hurrah. This is a movie of wheezing, ancient man-child priests, like Jean-Luc Godard. The gang are clearly...

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa
Starring Johnny Knoxville, Jackson Nicoll
Directed by Jeff Tremaine
Rated R
I think it might be safe to assume that Jackass 3D might be the last true Jackass film we get. Not only because of the death of Ryan Dunn, but with #3, you really started to see guys who realize that as they get older, throwing yourself into harms way isn’t as fun as it used to be. Youthful exuberance turns into playing things just a little bit more cautiously. That last couples of sentences are somewhat bittersweet, as I really like Jackass, with that 3rd movie being my favorite. Hopefully I’m wrong and a 4th movie will show up at our doorstep in a couple years time. But until that times comes, Johnny Knoxville, the one in the group who still showed us that youthful exuberance twinkle in his eye, is charging forward,...

Johnny Knoxville and Jackson Nicoll in ‘Bad Grandpa.’
Gross-out humor. Lots of jokes about genitalia. Guys doing stupid stunts that put their lives in danger just to impress each other. There’s a lot in the whole Jackass franchise to make smart women shudder and look the other way. Not to buy entirely into stereotypes here — some of us are Way into gross-out genitalia stunts, of course. But as a girly girl who’s been a fan of Johnny Knoxville and Co. for 13 years now, I’m here to tell you, shall we say, rom-com-loving ladies that there’s plenty for you to love in this body of work too. Allow me to walk you through it in seven easy steps.

It is easy to dismiss the "Jackass" franchise as chaos and stupidity, but it is also wrong to do so. As much as anything else released in the last 13 years, "Jackass" captures a mood that is part of our time, an aggressive comic voice that seems thrilled by the violence and uncertainty of a post-"Columbine"/post-9/11 society. "Jackass" matters precisely because it is totally silly in a world where it is not easy to be silly. As if to underline that point, "Bad Grandpa" is the first "Jackass"-related project to be made after the death of Ryan Dunn, who the film...

“Jackass,” as an MTV series and even more so as a less-censored big-screen franchise, felt new and different and outrageous, even if you could trace its component parts to ancestors as far afield as “Candid Camera,” circus sideshows and Antonin Artaud’s Theater of Cruelty. Watching a jockstrap-clad Johnny Knoxville dangle over an alligator pit with chicken parts between his legs, or Steve-o intentionally give himself paper cuts, or the late Ryan Dunn inserting a toy car into his own nether regions gave the show’s fans a distinct kind of pleasure, causing them to erupt in sounds that were somewhere between.

After Jackass 3D (and its pseudo-sequel Jackass 3.5 compiled of unused material) and the tragically unfortunate death of celebrated Jackass stunt performer Ryan Dunn, it went up in the air regarding what was next for the crew of professional pranksters. Would Jackass 3 live on as their swan song? Would they ever reunite one last time for 90 minutes of juvenile yet irresistible humor?
With Bad Grandpa we sort of have an answer, as it takes a popular sketch character from the Jackass heritage and creates a hidden camera film around a very basic story. Hey, it worked for Sacha Baron Cohen with Borat (and to a lesser extent with Bruno) so I see no harm in the Jackass crew taking a stab at it. If anything the results are the most inspired and refreshing series of gags in years from the group and a step in a direction ripe with further potential.

I am not ashamed to say that I enjoy the Jackass movies. Yeah, they are stupid and juvenile, but sometimes you need to turn off your brain and just enjoy some stupidity. After the third film and the untimely death of Ryan Dunn, I assumed the Jackass brand would be no more. Then, the trailer for Bad Grandpa hit the Internet and a big ass smile crossed my face. These movies are never going to win any awards, but they do share something in common with Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat and Bruno in...

Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” starring Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, Bam Margera, Wee-Man, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, and Ryan Dunn.
86 year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with the most unlikely companions, his 8 year-old Grandson Billy in “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.” This October, the signature Jackass character Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicoll) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera.
Along the way Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter male strippers, disgruntled child beauty pageant contestants (and their equally disgruntled mothers), funeral home mourners, biker bar patrons and a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens.
Real people in unreal situations, making for one really messed up comedy.
Have a look at the trailer below.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa was rumoured a while back, but there hadn’t really been anything concrete about the project since then. That is, until last week, when Paramount announced that not only does the film exist, but that it has been filmed, edited, and will be released in October. Johnny Knoxville’s ‘bad grandpa’ character, later named as Irving Zisman, has always featured throughout Jackass in some form or another, but it never seemed like an obvious choice for sustaining a feature-length movie.
In an interview with USA Today, director Jeff Tremaine shared those concerns:
We both had reservations only because we had never fleshed the character out and didn’t know if it could sustain for a movie… Then we decided to come up with a story, and the story became really important. Yet it still houses these pranks which are shot in the real world with real unsuspecting people.

Ebert's scripts: 'sexploitation' cult fare As found on the IMDb, Roger Ebert wrote scripts for a total of three movies, "sexploitation" fare directed by maverick independent filmmaker Russ Meyer. The first of those was Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, which follows three young (and good-looking) women who find sex (lesbian and straight), drugs (of various sorts), and unhappiness in Hollywood. Distributed by the then-daring 20th Century Fox (Fox also released Raquel Welch and Mae West's Myra Breckinridge that same year), Beyond takes Jacqueline Susann's trashy bestseller Valley of the Dolls and its 1967 Mark Robson-directed filmization to an even higher degree of tacky campiness. Among the movie's cast members were Dolly Read, Cynthia Myers, Marcia McBroom (all three seductive beauties are pictured above), John Lazar, and frequent presence on the Academy Awards red carpet, Edy Williams. The second Roger & Russ collaboration was Up!, a movie whose tagline...

Amy Schumer was the first comedian to get a crack at Roseanne on Sunday's Comedy Central Roast, but before she went after the famous television mom (and presidential candidate) she had a message for Roastmaster Jane Lynch:
"Eat a dick, Jane... Try it."
To be fair, Lynch had just introduced Schumer by saying, "let's get her out of the way," so she had it coming.
Since she's a relative newcomer to roasting — and a young, attractive woman — the majority of jokes lobbed at Schumer were of the who are you and who did you blow to get here ilk. But the 31-year-old comedian proved that she could both take the heat and deliver it on last year's Roast Of Charlie Sheen. She also proved that she could weather the attacks of angry twitter users, after her infamous Steve-o joke:
"I'm sorry for the loss of your friend Ryan Dunn.
