Exclusive: Password, the game show from Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Keke Palmer, is returning to NBC for a second season.
However, Deadline understands that filming of season two of the series has been postponed as a result of the writers strike with The Tonight Show host Fallon among those not wanting to cross the picket line.
The series was expected to film shortly on the Universal lot.
It marks the second major non-scripted series impacted by the writers strike; Deadline revealed earlier today that Mayim Bialik pulled out of hosting the final week of season 39 of Jeopardy! as a result of the strike.
Password launched last August and the first season’s episodes averaged 4.2M total viewers. NBC said it was the number one new show of summer 2022 and the most-watched summer alternative series premiere in two years.

Four teen girls teeter on the precipice of uncertain futures in Nick Richey’s debut feature, “Low Low,” as the budding auteur’s realistic style nicely complements the precise performances, giving each actor an empathetic path into her character’s psyche. While the narrative occasionally falters, the visceral way in which the writer-director captures his subjects’ triumphs and travails provides an unflinching portrait of modern teens on the fringes of society.
In the final days of high school, Ryan (Ali Richey) is understandably worried about graduating. There aren’t many prospects for a working-class teen in Vancouver, Wash.. Her troubled home life, beset by a contentious relationship with her single mom Sylvia (Elaine Hendrix) and her mom’s revolving door of slacker boyfriends, has caused her to act out — a rebellion fueled by angst, drugs and booze. Surprisingly, she’s managed to show great potential with her schoolwork, impressing her teacher Dr.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Board of Governors met Tuesday night to hear findings of a review into a single sexual harassment allegation made against Academy president John Bailey. After consulting outside counsel, considering the claim, and Bailey’s response, the Membership and Administration Committee and its sub-committee opted to not pursue the matter further.
One claim was filed against Bailey March 13, nine days after the Oscars. The Academy is not revealing the details of the claimant. Bailey will continue as Academy president.
“There was a single named complaint regarding an allegation dating back more than a decade ago in which I am alleged to have to attempted to touch a woman inappropriately while we were both riding in a transport van on a movie set,” Bailey wrote in a memo to the Academy’s film staff March 24, which was obtained by IndieWire. “That did not happen.

John Thomson will front a new stand-up comedy series for Gold.
The Cold Feet actor is bringing his alter ego Bernard Righton to the channel for six-part series Legends of Stand-Up & Bernard Righton.
The series will celebrate some of the world's greatest comedy stars, and will use archive footage to revisit some of their best moments.
Righton will add his own original material in between segments featuring stars like Victoria Wood, Tommy Cooper and Joan Rivers.
Iain Coyle, Commissioning Editor at UKTV, said: "This is the perfect format, the very best of classic stand-up, hosted by one of my favourite ever comedy creations.
"I've genuinely been crying laughing in the meetings for this show - I might have to be restrained when I watch it on the telly."
Thomson has written the series alongside John Quinn, Nigel Alred, Willy Norton and Mike Williams.

Cheerleader Camp (1989)
Directed By: John Quinn
Written By: David Lee Fein, R.L. O’Keiff
Starring: Betsy Russell (Alison), Leif Garrett (Brent), Lucinda Dickey (Cory), Lorrie Griffin (Bonnie), George Buck Flower (Pop), Travis McKenna (Timmy), Teri Weigel (Pamela), Rebecca Ferratti (Theresa Salazar), Vickie Benson (Ms. Tipton), Jeff Prettyman (Sheriff Poucher), Krista Pflanzer (Suzy)
“Cheerleader Camp”, which has the alternate title “Bloody Pompoms”, is much better than some of the later slasher fare I have seen. The slasher boom was in the early 1980s but by the time the late 80s came around it seems the ideas were thin.
“Cheerleader Camp” feels like a strange version of “Friday the 13th” in many aspects. While I do like the movie as a whole, it does have its issues. It could also be that I have a soft spot for slasher films as they were the first...

The Voice is already in its fourth week of blind auditions, and yet more talent was pouring out of our televisions tonight. Seven brand new acts made it into the coaches' teams tonight - you know, when Sir Tom wasn't namedropping all over the place (that story about Elvis was just plain odd) - but who did we like the best? As always, it's been a tough job to rank them all, but we've given it a go. Do you agree with our thoughts?
1. Rachael O'Connor
Song: 'Clown' / Coach: Kylie Minogue
Alright, admittedly we fell for Rachael as soon as she revealed how terrible she is at sports - complete with footage of her fumbling and being all 'butterfingers'. This is a girl we can relate to. And then she stepped on the stage and we were relieved to discover that she can sing, too. Alright, we kind of wish...

A perceptive exploration of desire
A shadowy figure amid the 20th-century beau monde – friend to Picasso and Gertrude Stein, and buyer for the American art collector John Quinn – Henri-Pierre Roché waited until his 70s to publish his teasingly semi-autobiographical debut novel, which became one of the 20th century's most famous depictions of a ménage-a-trois.
Jules and Jim are best friends – perhaps soulmates – who together pursue a charmed life of bohemian indulgence in turn-of-the-century Paris. Drifting from liaison to liaison they share their women as easily as wine, without jealousy or regret – and then they meet Kate. With her "archaic" smile and lips made for "milk – and blood", Kate is obedient only to the diktat: "He that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword." Marrying first Jules and then Jim, Kate draws all three into an ecstatic cycle of intimacy and betrayal, unleashing a seemingly limitless capacity for tenderness,...
