Often, family dramas tend to veer off in a direction that makes them quite tedious to watch. The family becomes a mouthpiece for the makers to cram their own worldview down our throats. But the new Netflix series Crashing Eid is a refreshing example of how to make a dramedy out of a complicated family situation that doesn’t have easy resolutions. The show is a lighthearted portrayal of a Saudi family where the daughter gets into a relationship with a Pakistani man. The problems don’t stop when the man shows up in Jeddah, thinking he will sort everything out, but quite the opposite happens.
Razan and Sameer are the couple that make the risky decision to get into a relationship without telling their parents about it. As both were Muslims, they didn’t think to what degree their different cultural backgrounds, (one Pakistani and one Saudi), could be a problem.

There is a lot to be said about storytellers who are willing to tell stories about families, but in a quirky and non-sentimental way. Some important topics are addressed in the new Saudi dramedy series Crashing Eid without relying on a preachy tone. The characters are well written, and more importantly, the cultural aspects are very nicely portrayed. No two cultures are truly identical, and Razan and Sameer perhaps didn’t take that into consideration. The couple, with the hopes of getting married, tries to convince their families, but in the middle of it, they find their own trust in themselves dwindling. Crashing Eid is humorous when it needs to be, and extremely delicate and serious while discussing topics like racism and domestic abuse. It really is a heartwarming series with a focus on family as a fulfilling unit of one’s life.

During a media event organised for ‘Ps: 2’, Aishwarya, who was seen touching director Mani Ratnam’s feet out of respect, was asked about her special connection with the name Nandini as it’s her character’s name in ‘Ps: 2’ as well.
Talking about the same, the actress told the media, “What a coincidence. It’s amazing na? Even Nandini in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ was very very memorable. She ruled over people’s heart and I’m so so thankful that I got to play Nandini then too. She had remained special to the audience and, of course, to me”.

Once in a decade or maybe twice, if we are lucky, an Indian film makes us proud to be who we are. "Hellaro" is one such rarity. It is much more than a film. The sum-total of its parts is so profoundly moving that the work defies a microcosmic assessment. And yet, to not probe into its layers to gauge how deep its undercurrents of emotions run, would be doing this great film a disservice.
Outwardly "Hellaro" is about a bunch of rural Gujarati women seeking emotional and physical empowerment circa 1975, during the days of the draconian Emergency, by defying the patriarchal embargo and doing the Garba.
This description is most inapt in summing what Hellaro does. This is akin to saying the Garba is about two sticks and one pair of feet.

Having earned over $800 million, Wonder Woman has proven itself on many levels. In a year that started, more or less, with Hidden Figures, and with a summer that had three hits featuring women (the others being Atomic Blonde and Girls Trip) the female half of the movie going audience is finally receiving their due. Director Patty Jenkins has certainly shattered some records and glass ceilings along the way while Gal Gadot has now proven she can open a movie.
With Wonder Woman out today on Blu-ray from Warner Home Video, we have a chance to look back and enjoy it all over again. While it fits neatly in the larger DC Cinematic Universe thanks to the framing sequence, the movie largely works on its own with a vastly superior tone and vision than its predecessors.

I’m not particularly well-versed in comic book-ese, so you’ll have to forgive when I say that the Mother Boxes from the DC Film universe are essentially their version of Marvel‘s Infinity Stones. Um….right? At least they are to me. Essentially, they are some powerful doodads and, more importantly, the villain Steppenwolf in “Justice League” will apparently be looking for them in the upcoming film. That’s probably all you need to know to get this new epilogue to “Wonder Woman.”
As director Patty Jenkins explains, this summer’s blockbuster didn’t have much in the way of deleted scenes, but this new sequence — featuring Lucy Davis’ Etta Candy, Saïd Taghmaoui’s Sameer, Ewen Bremner’s Charlie, and Eugene Brave Rock’s Chief Napi — creates a little connective tissue between “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League.”

As we prepare for Wonder Woman to arrive on Digital HD on August 29th, a brief clip from a previously unseen Epilogue has now surfaced, and it focuses on the character of Etta Candy, played by Lucy Davis.
Details of the scene have already been announced, and it was actually teased earlier today, but this snippet is our first proper glimpse of a moment that’s potentially very significant for the cohesion of the DC Extended Universe. And that’s because it looks like the Epilogue is laying the foundation for Justice League.
Titled Etta’s Mission, the scene involves Etta Candy getting “the boys back together for a secret mission that could impact humanity’s future.” From the clip above, we can see that Sameer (Said Taghmaoui) and Charlie (Ewen Bremner) are the boys in question, and Etta seems to assemble them in the same London pub in which...

The Immortal Warrior is decked out in full combat gear in today’s new pair of images for Wonder Woman.
We are, of course, referring to Diana Prince of Themyscira, the all-powerful princess that first leaped into the DC Extended Universe with a brief, yet memorable turn in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Indeed, Gal Gadot’s heroine was arguably one of, if not the greatest highlights of Zack Snyder’s widely derided ensemble piece, and it won’t be long now before Wonder Woman headlines her own origin story. Yes, June 2nd is fast approaching, and now that its suitably epic final trailer is out in the open, all eyes are beginning to turn toward the Patty Jenkins-directed solo movie in the hope that it can herald a triumphant success for Warner Bros. and the DC Extended Universe as a whole.

Instead Sameer Nair and Aman Gill who work in Balaji have taken their place as producers.

Main Woh Chaand
A romantic ballad, ‘Main Woh Chaand’, is about the aching and the longing moments of love. The song has been sung wonderfully by Darshan Raval with a small violin portion having vocals by Himeshji himself. The melody is soothingly beautiful and the piano rifts give a special touch. The song has lyrics by Sameer Anjaan ji.

Writer-director-producer Greg Sneddon.s Bhutan-set drama Arrows of the Thunder Dragon is Australia.s entry for the best foreign language film Oscar.
Set in the 1970s, the story follows brother and sister Kuenphen and Jamyang who live in a remote Bhutanese village where they learn traditional archery from their old warrior grandfather.
Their mother's sudden sickness gives Kuenphen the opportunity to explore the world outside the village while Jamyang must stay home to weave, cook and get married- a fate she is not willing to accept without a fight.
The self-financed film was shot on location in the Himalayan mountains with a cast of local highland village people and a Bhutanese crew including DoP Leki Dorji, none of whom had worked on a feature. Jill Bilock is the editor.
"I'm thrilled to bits," Sneddon tell If. A former Buddhist monk, he got the idea for the film while on a pilgrimage to the country.
