The internet is, as we all know by now, a cesspool of lies, untruths, falsehoods, and egregious fabrications. You can’t scroll through Twitter (sorry, X), swipe through TikTok, or descend into the depths of Instagram without encountering fake Karens, scammy impersonators, whatever bullshit the guy who owns the place is spewing, or — to get really specific — claims that Pitbull has 21 children with 18 different women.
That last one went weirdly viral on TikTok recently, sourced back to a video shared in mid-August by the account Pat Williams Comedy. The clip...

Pat Williams, aka Ms. Pat, is not going anywhere just yet. BET+ has renewed her comedy, The Ms. Pat Show, for a fourth season. Williams also has two more shows currently in development with the streaming service. Per Deadline, the new shows are the animated series Krack Babies and the workplace comedy Hud.
Also starring J. Bernard Calloway, Tami Roman, Vince Swann, Briyana Guadalupe, and Theodore John Barnes, The Ms. Pat Show follows the Carson family as they adjust to life in a conservative Indiana town after moving there from Atlanta. Williams’ life and work inspired the comedy.

In 1973, the killer of Welsh teenagers Sandra Newton, Pauline Flynn and Gwendoline Hughes was not caught, despite a high-profile and widespread investigation by South Wales Police. The girls’ families spent the next three decades not knowing who was responsible for brutally taking the lives of their loved ones, or whether he still lived alongside them in the local Neath and Port Talbot communities.
In 2002, a development in forensics changed everything. The cold case was reopened with much pared-down resources, and crime scene DNA was successfully used to identify Wales’ first recorded serial killer. Steeltown Murders is the story of the loss, guilt and suspicion that followed the 1970s murders, and of the perseverance of the officers who were eventually able to provide the victims’ families with the answers they’d been denied years before.
Here are the actors making up the cast behind Steeltown Murders‘ dramatisation of real-life figures and events.

Patrick Williams, who was best-known for his Emmy-winning television music but who was also a renowned and Grammy-winning big-band jazz leader and arranger, died Wednesday morning of complications from cancer at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif. He was 79.
Williams was among the most versatile composers of his generation, earning an Oscar nomination, four Emmys and two Grammys during more than 50 years of music-making in New York and Los Angeles.
In the middle of his most prolific period, scoring music for TV including “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “The Bob Newhart Show” and “The Streets of San Francisco,” he was also nominated for the prestigious Pulitzer Prize in music for his groundbreaking “An American Concerto” (1976) for jazz quartet and symphony orchestra.
He scored nearly 50 films, often memorable scores for movies that were not big hits, including “Casey’s Shadow,” “The Cheap Detective” and “Cuba” in the 1970s; “Used Cars,...

There are a plethora of really shitty movies based on video games being released each year. None of them holding a candle to the source material it is based on. However each and every time I get suckered in because I want to be impressed by these attempts, as a movie fan and a gamer I need to be impressed. And let’s be honest, the premise of the Dead Rising games is just about absurd enough to work as a movie and with this being the second outing well have they learnt.

Dead Rising fans can look forward to two stocking stuffers this holiday season. In addition to Capcom unleashing the wisecracking wrath of Frank West in the new video game Dead Rising 4 on December 6th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will also release Dead Rising: Endgame on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on that same day.
Press Release (via Home Theater Forum): Culver City, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2016) – Prepare for a nonstop assault of zombie-slaying action when Dead Rising: Endgame debuts on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital December 6 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The action-packed sequel to Dead Rising: Watchtower chronicles the return of Jesse Metcalfe (“Dallas,” “Desperate Housewives”) as Chase Carter, an investigative journalist haunted by his past and now hunted by the military. After narrowly escaping a zombie quarantine, Chase—along with a group of dubious allies—slices, hacks and bludgeons his way through the zombie hordes that plague every corner of the abandoned city.

Last week at Comic-Con, I participated in roundtable interviews for Dead Rising: Endgame, the second film based on Capcom’s popular zombie video game franchise. With the Legendary Digital Media movie now available to watch on Crackle, the cast and crew discussed their badass characters in the sequel, plans for a Dead Rising TV series, and much more.
Keegan Connor Tracy and Marie Avgeropoulos on what attracted them to the Dead Rising franchise:
Keegan Connor Tracy: My role was actually supposed to be a man in the beginning. For whatever reason, they let me audition, even though it was supposed to be a man. I liked that. I liked that she was a strong character in that respect because originally she was meant to be a man. I felt that if they had written her as a woman, they wouldn’t have written her that way. I don’t understand Crackle’s Dead Rising franchise. Capcom built this zany, wild video game universe that’d be perfect for a hybrid experience somewhere between The Warriors and 28 Days Later, yet these movies are generically neutered. References to original content are just lazy winks, while the whole “psychopaths” arc is completely abandoned in favor of a boring Zombrex conspiracy. I was hoping that Dead Rising: Endgame would atone for Watchtower‘s forgettable adaptation, but, unfortunately, new director Pat Williams falls victim to the same dull tricks from Zach Lipovsky’s first attempt.
Jesse Metcalfe once again stars as investigative journalist Chase Carter, who must journey into the heart of East Mission to stop General Lyons (Dennis Haysbert) from killing every Zombrex-using survivor. Since the first film, technology has been developed that releases Zombrex doses through an implanted chip, but Lyons wants to overload the system and use the...

It will be taking on that Mondays at 8 spot previous held by such favorites as Eureka and Alphas, and will be the lead-in for the season premieres of Being Human and Lost Girl. Mondays in 2013 will be excellent.

The new Canadian sci-fi series Continuum took a massive leap in its premiere episode by transporting its heroine and a handful of ruthless terrorists out of the future and into the present. As these future travelers squared off, bullets began to fly and bodies began piling up. But not everyone is yet aware of the time-travel fight brought to their doorstep and the war about to be unleashed around them. In an exclusive interview, star Richard Harmon shared what is going on for his unsuspecting character in Continuum.
So who is Julian and how does he fit into the Continuum world?
Richard: That’s an interesting story because there’s a lot to be said there but I don’t think I’m allowed to share too much at this time, ’cause he’s kind of got more going on with him at a later date. Right now, Julian is...
