Distribution
Wendy Morgan‘s animal welfare docu-drama “Mercy” has been picked up by Los Angeles-based distributor All Channel Films, Inc. All Channel Films will represent the film, which premiered at the Awareness Film Festival in October, in the U.S. and Canada across pay and basic cable, video/DVD, VOD/SVOD, PPV and other distribution platforms.
With humans standing in for animals, “Mercy” lifts the lid on the more unpalatable side of the meat industry as told though the eyes of a pig named Mercy as she goes from a factory farm to a slaughterhouse. Maria Austin (“The Reverend and Mrs. Simpson”) plays Mercy alongside Annette Badland (“Ted Lasso”), Mark Wingett (“Quadrophenia”) and Morgan (“Mrs. Lowry and Son”), who wrote and directed the film.
“One of my goals was to bring ‘Mercy’ to North American audiences to raise awareness about the film’s disturbing but important subject matter,” said Morgan.

The Quadrophenia cast reunite for this claret-soaked mess of dodgy geezers, shady drug deals and noisy guitar riffs
‘Starring the original cast of Quadrophenia” proclaims the publicity for this lightweight romp, and true to its word, it features Leslie Ash, Toyah Willcox, Gary Shail, Trevor Laird, Mark Wingett and scores of heavily accessorised vintage scooters. That’s about where the similarity ends. Rather than the 1970s mod revival, it feels like the work of someone still stuck in the late 90s, when Britpop was all the rage and there was a hot new film-maker on the scene named Guy Ritchie. Yes, we’re in that territory: small-time gangsters, estuary accents, straight-to-camera asides explaining who’s who and what’s what, and tiresome character nicknames flashing up on the screen like Roger the Fix, Ginger Nick and Danny the Face. Someone even refers to blood as “claret”.

To celebrate the Home Entertainment release of the 2018’s most modern gangster thriller, King Of Crime, we have 2 DVD copies to give away, courtesy of Elevation Sales. King Of Crime is available to own on DVD and Digital Download on January 14th 2019.
Cybercrime and terrorism are some of the most prevalent issues of today, and King Of Crime’s bold look mirrors that modernism. The film sharply spotlights the topics at hand, and draws you into a world of deception and violence – a fresh voice within a recognisable genre. It does this, in part, with the familiar English aesthetic and that of a sleek style, for a cross-country affair of dangerous, dramatic thrills.
When Marcus King, Britain’s most notorious cybercriminal, finds himself at the mercy of some extremists, he knows it’s time to settle some old scores, play one of the biggest scams of his life, and defeat the terrorists.

Chicago – Social history is often the seed for actual history. The simple story of two youth gangs in England in the early 1960s – The Mods and The Rockers – is grist for the incredible social history film, “Quadrophenia.” The new Criterion Collection Blu-ray DVD release of this 1979 classic will satisfy any side of the ardent rock admirer, especially those of the magnificent rock group “The Who” – the film is based on their lesser known 1973 rock opera of the same name.
Blu-Ray Rating: 5.0/5.0
This was originally produced by The Who Films, and The Criterion Collection creates a lavish package with background information and the history of the clash between the mid-1960s British youth of “The Mods” – a clean cut style associated with the music of “The Who, as well as soul, R&B and the Mersey Beat – and “The Rockers,” who favored more of the direct, Marlon-Brando-in-”The-Wild-One” motorcycles and 1950s rock.

War of the Dead was originally titled Stone's War. This film has undergone several other changes in its eight year production history. Production companies have come and gone along with primary cast members. James van der Beek was one actor who was attached to this picture only to be replaced by another. War of the Dead released in the United Kingdom on DVD May 28th and this film has not overcome the many challenges of production. The film reviewed here is simply lackluster in story and character development. Only a few exciting film elements draw this title out of complete oblivion. The film is set during World War II. Finnish and American forces are working together to destroy an underground German bunker. Beneath the ground, an...

Intruders Trailer 2. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo‘s Intruders (2011) movie trailer 2 stars Clive Owen, Carice van Houten, Ella Purnell, Daniel Bruhl, and Kerry Fox. Intruders‘ plot synopsis: “The film tells the story of two children separated by thousands of miles, who feel fear when the night comes as ‘something’ stalks them. On one side is John, who is visited each night of a monster that sneaks through the window. Though no one can see him, Hollow Face lurks in the corners, desperately desiring love but only knowing how to spread fear and hate. He creeps into the life of John Farrow (Clive Owen) after Farrow’s beloved 13-year-old daughter Mia (Ella Purnell) is assaulted in their home. The line between the real and the imaginary blurs as fissures start to open within the family unit. It seems that no security measure can keep Hollow Face out.

Even though '28 Weeks Later' helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's new horror-thriller 'Intruders' eased into the cinemas here in the UK like an old man into a nice warm bath, Millennium Entertainment are hoping to push things further for the feature stateside. The UK saw it open last Friday, albeit to an extremely limited amount of theatres, and with the late March release date planned for the folks over in the Us there's plenty more time to salivate audiences with fresh new assets. Take this brand new one-sheet for example featuring a feature-less Clive Owen ('Children of Men'). Andrew Tiernan, Mikko Leppilampi, Samuli Vauramo, Jouko Ahola, Mark Wingett, Andreas Wilson, Antti Reini and the sexy Magdalena Gorska (below) all star. Intruders Trailer. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo‘s Intruders (2011) movie trailer stars Ella Purnell, Clive Owen, Daniel Bruhl, Carice van Houten, and Kerry Fox. Intruders‘ plot synopsis: “The film tells the story of two children separated by thousands of miles, who feel fear when the night comes as ‘something’ stalks them. On one side is John, who is visited each night of a monster that sneaks through the window. On the other side, is Mia who is unable to sleep because she knows that someone is hiding in the darkness of your closet. Both of their concerns will become greater if their parents also witness the apparition.”
Not bad, cool storyline. They establish that everything may not be what it seems, especially with Clive Owen’s character.
Intruders also stars Pilar López de Ayala, Lolita Chakrabarti, Mark Wingett, Adam Leese, and Imogen Gray.
Watch the Intruders movie trailer below and leave your thoughts on it.

It's been a long time since last there was anything to report on War of the Dead (formerly Stone's War). So long in fact that we had all but written the film off. However, that's the thing about the dead; eventually they will rise.
Over on the official War of the Dead Facebook page a couple of new videos have been posted. That indicates good things, right? We hope so. Dig on them below.
Marko Makilaasko directs. Andrew Tiernan, Jouko Ahola, Mikko Leppilampi, Samuel Vauramo, Mark Wingett, Andreas Wilson, Antti Reini and Magdalena Gorska star.

Actor Mark Wingett has claimed that The Bill's move into a post-watershed slot last year was an "unwise decision". The star, who played PC Jim Carver in the police procedural drama, also said that the lack of promotion during the revamp may have hurt the ITV1 show. "I think moving the slot was an unwise decision. It kind of got lost. Also it wasn't promoted in a very good way - the big soaps get loads and loads of promotion. And I think the audience has changed," he told the BBC. Wingett, who was the main focus of the programme's pilot Woodentop in 1983 and starred in the series for a further 21 years, (more)...
