This Star Wars Jedi: Survivor contains spoilers.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag last year. On one hand, the series retconned established Star Wars lore and made Obi-Wan fight Darth Vader before the Death Star duel, despite previous canon strongly suggesting they hadn’t crossed lightsabers since Mustafar. On the other hand, the show introduced an excellent concept that demonstrated regular people were willing to fight against the Empire, even before the Rebel Alliance was founded. And Star Wars Jedi: Survivor not only brings that concept back but also sets up how this secretive organization might appear in a future game.
Much of Jedi: Survivor revolves around the hidden planet of Tanalorr, which is cut off from the rest of the galaxy due to a space anomaly. The game follows characters racing against each other to reach Tanalorr, including protagonist Cal Kestis,...

Exclusive: William Shatner and his Shatner Universe has teamed with Pure Imagination Studios to develop and produce a mixed-reality, adult animated series based on Shatner’s hit science fiction thriller TekWar.
Developed and written by Matt Michnovetz, TekWar is based on Shatner’s series of bestselling detective novels, the first published in 1989. The novels are set in the year 2043 and follow a former detective in futuristic Los Angeles who was framed for the crime of dealing an illegal mind-altering drug in the form of a bio-digital microchip. It poses a great threat to humanity and has the potential to become a virus that will lead to an unrecoverable future.
TekWar is being conceptualized as a mixed-reality animated series where viewers will be able to participate with the show in different forms of technology via mobile, tablets or wearable devices. The series can be viewed stand-alone,...

We profiled a number of notable goings-on at this year's SXSW, but at least one deserves special note. Break Media, which runs top YouTube channels such as Break and Screen Junkies, will debut Armed Response at the festival, with a panel featuring the series' creators and distributors accompanying the release. Armed Response is a somewhat bare bones action thriller, stripped of pretension: Bad guys there, good guys here, let's take 'em out. If the trailer is any indication, it will be very violent, extra bloody, and plenty loud. The series makes liberal use of first-person and split screen cameras, because when you don't use an actual video game as your source material, the surest way to ensure the young men on YouTube will watch your show is by making it seem like it's a video game. Armed Response will screen for the first time at SXSW, and series creators Tom Bannister...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Episode 18, 19 & 20 – The Citadel, Counterattack & Citadel Rescue

The writers and execs at HBO should be happy.
The premium cabler was the only television network with writers nominated from two shows apiece both in the dramatic and comedy series categories of the Writers Guild Awards, which announced TV and radio nominations Wednesday.
Writers on ABC's Grey's Anatomy and Lost also were among those nominated in the dramatic series category, joined by scribes from HBO's Deadwood and The Sopranos, and Fox's 24. Writers on HBO's Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm figured in comedy noms, along with those from NBC's 30 Rock and The Office, and Fox's Arrested Development.
NBC dominated the new series category, with noms for writers on its 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights, Heroes and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, along with ABC's Ugly Betty.
Nominations in film categories of the Writers Guild Awards are scheduled to be released Jan. 11.
The 2007 Writers Guild Awards are set for Feb. 11 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, with a simultaneous gala set for the Hudson Theater of the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York.
