Former Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Cheryl Burke offered more insight about her departure from the show.
Burke appeared as a professional dancer in 26 seasons of DWTS, capturing the Mirrorball Trophy in her first two seasons.
Her last appearance on the show was in Season 31 when she partnered with weatherman Sam Champion from Good Morning America.
That also marked the last season for host Tyra Banks, who only hosted for a few seasons before leaving. Like Burke, longtime DWTS judge Len Goodman also announced his retirement.
“I love the show. I’m a fan. I will always be a fan. However, with that also come disagreements,” Burke indicated during her podcast.
Burke also mentioned a “fight” related to her DWTS send-off once she’d chosen to exit.

This article contains spoilers for the Nov. 28 episode of “Dancing With the Stars”
Five couples went into Season 32 semi-finals “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday night, with only four slated to compete in the finale next week. But in a major twist, no one went home Tuesday night.
The final contestant’s slot came down to high scorers Ariana Madix and Xochitl Gomez and, to their enormous surprise, fans had voted them both through to the finale.
Alyson Hannigan, who ended the night with the lowest judges’ scores, was so convinced she was going home that she told partner Sasha Ferber after their elegant Waltz,” If that’s my last dance with you, I just want to tell you I just love you so much.” Hough said Hannigan’s the dance, set to “Come Away With Me.” “Comwas her best dance to date and Carrie Ann Inaba praised her “emotional vulnerability.

Are Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov the first husband and wife pros to compete against one another in a DWTS semifinal competition?

Reality star Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov, film star Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy, TV star Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber, Bachelorette star Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev, and singer/songwriter Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach.

ABC’s Dancing with the Stars honors one of the hottest stars on the planet, Taylor Swift, with an episode featuring some of her greatest hits. Subsequently, her Eras Tour choreographer, Mandy Moore, will join the judging panel to offer her “Taylor-made” critiques of the remaining six couples.
How many of Taylor Swift’s songs will be used on ‘Dancing with the Stars?’
Dancing with the Stars has kept the songs featured during Taylor Swift night on the down low. However, there are some facts that Showbiz Cheat Sheet does know.
Taylor Swift Night will feature each of the six remaining couples dancing individually and three relay dances with another pair. That means nine songs from Taylor’s catalog should be performed.
While it is likely that many of Taylor Swift’s more popular songs will be heard, the series could also surprise fans with a few lesser-known tracks during the performances.

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 is back and it’s a bit different Season 31 — including having a new (old) home. Here’s everything to know about the season.
Where is “Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 airing?
ABC and Disney+. That’s right. After one season exclusively on Disney+, “Dancing” returned to ABC for Season 32, which will also stream live on Disney+. It is the first series to be simulcast on ABC and Disney+. Episodes will also be available the next day on Hulu.
“I’m very happy we’re back on ABC,” Derek Hough told TV Insider in June. “I think it was fantastic that we moved to Disney+ for a season. It did great, but I think that there’s definitely [still] an audience on ABC, a very loyal audience that may have missed out on last season. It’s groundbreaking in that I’ll be on both platforms as the same time.

We thought there was a possibility that “Most Memorable Year Night” on “Dancing with the Stars” would be a non-elimination night, but alas, Oscar winner Mira Sorvino was sent home at the end of the evening. Gold Derby contributor Cordell Martin “was kind of bummed that Mira went home earlier than I think we would love for her to go,” but “she was just one of those contestants … who’s really good, but just couldn’t find her footing in terms of being at the top of the leaderboard or having that strong fan base to carry her through.” Watch Martin’s slugfest with Jeffrey Kare and Daniel Montgomery above.
We didn’t just shed tears for Sorvino, though. “Most Memorable Year” was also the night the show paid tribute to late judge Len Goodman, who died this past April after appearing on the show since its debut in 2005. Pro...

The heartfelt tribute to Len Goodman on Dancing With the Stars this week would not have been the same without the return of Og dance pros. After the live episode aired, Louis van Amstel, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, and Anna Trebunskaya chatted with TV Insider about their emotional visit to the ballroom, honoring Goodman, changes to the show, and whether or not they’re up for coming back for more appearances. There were quite a few contemporary dances performed on “Most Memorable Year” week. While those dances served as a stark contrast to the traditional Waltz that was performed for Goodman, that wasn’t the only reason there were so many of them. “When it comes to ‘Most Memorable Year,’ doing contemporary allows you to express more,” pointed out Dovolani. “The show balanced out those dances with all of us coming back and doing a classic dance to honor Len.

Sharna Burgess‘ absence from Dancing With the Stars‘ Len Goodman tribute was a grave oversight that her “family in the ballroom” should have spoken up about, her fianceé and former DWTS partner Brian Austin Green said Wednesday on social media.
“I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I was for @SharnaBurgess to not be invited for the tribute last night,” Green posted on Instagram. “It’s disappointing as well that note of her ‘family in the ballroom’ stuck up for her or spoke out. She’s an incredible soul and has always been a friend to everyone. She deserved better.

A week after NFL athlete Adrian Peterson was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” following his strongest performance on the show, Oscar winning actress Mira Sorvino had her highest-scoring routine on “Most Memorable Year Night” only to be sent home from the competition early. What did you think of the contemporary routine that landed her in 10th place? Watch it above, and vote in our polls at the bottom of this post.
Sorvino’s routine was especially moving for her because it referenced her film “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” and also featured her own daughter along with pro partner Gleb Savchenko. The judges appreciated the joyfulness of the performance. They thought it was uplifting and heartfelt. Though Bruno Tonioli critiqued that she needed to engage her core more during lifts. She ended up scoring sevens from Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba and her first ever eight from Derek Hough.

“Len was just charming, and that’s how I remember him even at 12-years-old,” said ballroom dancer, six-time Mirror Ball champion and now “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough on “Most Memorable Year Night.” He was reminiscing about Len Goodman, who had judged “DWTS” since its very first season in 2005. But he decided to retire from the show at the end of the 2022 season, and then he passed away in April 2023. The show paid tribute to the late, great Goodman with a special group dance. Watch the entire segment above.
“He’s been in my life since the very beginning,” remembered Mark Ballas. Indeed, for many “DWTS” pros Goodman’s influence began well before the dance competition series first came on the air almost two decades ago. “He was very well respected within the ballroom community,” explained Kim Johnson-Herjavek. Ballas added, “He was a big-time judge when we were all starting to compete.

It’s been six months beloved judge Len Goodman passed, but Dancing with the Stars isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
Though Tuesday’s theme was Most Memorable Year, the Week 5 episode was really meant to honor Goodman, who died from prostate cancer in April at the age of 78. After airing a sentimental package featuring past pros talking about what an honor it was to be both complimented and criticized by Goodman, the episode then featured a dance tribute to “Moon River” that was waltzed to perfection by current pros and past faves Kym Johnson, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Edyta Sliwinska, Tony Dovolani, Louis van Amstel, Maks Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas.
It ended with the troupe gesturing to an empty middle chair on the judges’ dais. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli wept.

“Dancing With the Stars” is honoring their forever head judge.
During the show’s “Most Memorable Year” week, multiple former pro dancers reunited with current pros for a number dedicated to Len Goodman. The dance was choreographed by married duo and current pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson.
The number, which paid homage to Goodman’s love for ballroom, was set to Henry Mancini’s classic “Moon River” and included returning dancers Kym Herjavec, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Edyta Sliwinska, Tony Dovolani, Louis van Amstel, Maks Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas. Current judge Derek Hough and host Julianne Hough also joined the number, which took place after a mashup video of all the dancers sharing their favorite memories with Goodman.
The number ended with Goodman’s voiceover saying “All good things have to come to an end.” Judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli were shown crying.

Ex-‘DWTS’ host Tom Bergeron says he ‘screwed’ producers after ‘they screwed him’
Tom Bergeron, who hosted DWTS from seasons one through 28, was a constant on the ever-evolving ABC series. From day one, he provided light banter while moving the live show along and, ultimately, became as integral a part of the series as its celebrities and dancers.
Bergeron remained DWTS‘ stalwart. He hosted alongside Lisa Canning in season one, Samantha Harris from seasons two through nine, Brooke Burke from seasons 10 through 17, and Erin Andrews from seasons 18 through 28.
ABC announced Bergeron and Andrews’ surprise exit in July 2020, stating that the show was heading in “a new creative direction.” Tyra Banks replaced Bergeron...
