Star Trek Into Darkness star Chris Pine is going to re-team with director Joe Carnahan for the comedy thriller Stretch. Before Pine became a big star, he worked with Carnahan on the action film Smokin' Aces. There's no word on whom Pine will play in the film, but hopefully it's a decent-sized role. The movie stars Patrick Wilson (Insidious) as "a down-on-his-luck chauffeur looking to relieve his debt by driving around a mysterious billionaire who drags him to hell and back."
I think Pine is a good actor. Aside from Star Trek, one of my favorite roles that he's played was Bo Barrett in Bottle Shock.
What's your favorite Pine movie role?

After being in a state of drunkenness for an extended period of time, a man goes to make amends with the brother he hasn't seen in four years, but things don't go exactly as planned.
Intriguing, though not entirely successful short film certainly leaves an impression with a haunting finale, but it could have used more tension in exploring the relationship between the characters. The main scenario and how it unfolds in Anti-People never quite generates enough suspense. The unease, the anxiety that the characters feel towards one another never truly becomes palpable. For a ten minute short, the characters are well developed. There's a sense of who they are, what they're all about. The finale is the type of ending that can give audiences something to talk about long after the film is over with.

Chris Pine has denied rumor that he was posting a message about untitled Star Trek sequel. After words emerged that the "Unstoppable" actor gushed on his Facebook page that his role of Captain Kirk is getting a "love interest" in the upcoming movie, Pine has his representative pour cold water to the speculation, insisting that the actor did not write the message since he does not have a Facebook account.
The rep claims that the Facebook page in question is not official. The publicist says that the Bo Barrett of "Bottle Shock" does not sign up for Twitter or any other social networking websites, despite the fact that there are a number of Facebook "fan pages" that use his name.
In addition, the actor's publicist confirms to TrekMovie that no actors in the new "Star Trek" movie have received a sequel script drafts. In relation to that, Simon Pegg has...

While I may been a bit harsh in my criticism of the indie film Quench (review), I did see a lot of promise in one of its stars, Bo Barrett (pictured), and today he sent us the news that he and some of his fellow actors have formed their own La-based production company, Badass Haircut Productions.
Barrett has joined forces with Adam Scarimbolo, Gil Menchaca, and Bill Parks for this venture; and they already have three projects in various stages of completion that should be available for viewing in late 2009. According to Barrett Paper Cut is a pure horror film, and a yet-to-be-titled film about two brothers has many genre elements to it as well. In addition, they have two more horror offerings in the works that are slated to be released in 2010.

The 2004 film Sideways, an unabashed success that wowed audiences at the Toronto, Torino, and New York film festivals before netting five Academy Award nominations (and winning one), depicts two middle-aged men on a wine tour of California's Napa Valley. This film might never have been possible were it not for the efforts of two men--Bo Barrett and Steven Spurrier--in the 1970s, who staged a blind taste-test during which French...
