2021's Fear Street trilogy proved to be a major success for Netflix, and amid persistent rumors that the streamer might be planning to develop more adaptations of R.L. Stine's work, we got confirmation that a Fear Street movie was in the works last November.
Netflix recently announced the full cast and a synopsis for Fear Street: Prom Queen (or Fear Street '88: Prom Queen as it's titled in this video), and the streamer has now revealed that filming is officially underway.
We also have a brief behind-the-scenes teaser featuring several members of the cast chatting about the show as they prepare to shoot their scenes. Something tells us their characters won't be having quite as much fun as Prom Night progresses.

After well over a decade in the spotlight, Community star Gillian Jacobs surely must get tired of people mangling her first name, which is pronounced with a hard G — as in “gall.” Which is exactly what After Midnight’s closed captioning system, or the people behind it, exhibited when Jacobs introduced herself on Monday night’s show.
After a brief introduction from After Midnight host Taylor Tomlinson, Jacobs greeted the crowd with a quick primer on exactly how to pronounce her name: “Yes, I’m Gillian Jacobs,” she said. “That’s hard G, soft J, but the vibe is just right.”
It was an innocuous enough statement… unless you were reading the closed captions.
As first spotted by one eagle-eyed Redditor who was able to snap a quick pic, the vibe may have seemed a bit more salacious if you weren’t actually listening to Jacobs speak.

The second season of The Bear proved to be as stress-inducing as it was profound, intimate and heartwarming, so it's no surprise that it received even more prestigious nominations and awards than the previous one. In addition to the storyline revolving around the titular restaurant and its staff, no less dramatic were the star cameos that appeared either as relatives of the protagonists or as prominent personalities in the restaurant world.
One of the most unexpected, but certainly welcome cameos came from Will Poulter, who played the former colleague of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and new mentor to Marcus (Lionel Boyce). And now a new set video has surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, with Poulter in attendance. All this means that the actor will return to the series and his role may be expanded to a recurring one.

Could Invincible be getting more seasons on Prime Video? According to Skybound Republic, an investment/crowdfunding site that allows fans to invest in the label, more episodes of the ultra-violent comic book action series are coming. In a since-deleted portion of the webpage, the site said Invincible Season 3 is in production, while the show had been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5. The webpage promotes a video game set in the Invincible universe, which fans can help fund. The crowdfunded project sits at $442,700 as of this posting, with 14 days to go in the campaign.
A portion of the mission statement for the campaign describes why making a video based on a licensed property causes some problems:
“Most crowdfunded video games are centered around indie games, and retail investors rarely have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Aaa game publishers. Skybound is developing a highly produced, high-octane blood bath that is anything but indie.

“Animal Control” star Joel McHale is keeping the vermin off his “Community” movie set. McHale told The Post that Chevy Chase is not welcome back for the upcoming Peacock movie adaptation.
“I don’t think he’s allowed to [return],” McHale said. “I don’t think it would happen. I don’t think [him returning] is a thing. Obviously his unceremonious departure in Season 4 pretty much did that in.”
McHale added: “I’m guessing if you asked him, he wouldn’t be interested” in starring in the movie.
The “Community” movie is the culmination of Dan Harmon’s preordained six-seasons-and-a-movie destiny for his NBC sitcom. Chase was part of most of it, but was fired from the series in 2013 after allegedly using a racist slur against co-star Donald Glover and butting heads with series creator Harmon.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Invincible Season 2 finale.] In classic Invincible fashion, the April 4 Season 2 finale featured a whole lot of blood, guts, and shocking twists — along with setting up a host of other issues for Mark (Steven Yeun), Nolan (J.K. Simmons), the Guardians of the Globe, and more to tackle in Season 3. Between the ferocity of Mark’s take-down of dimension-hopping baddie Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown), a burgeoning relationship between Mark and Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs), the beginning of a redemption arc for Nolan, and much, much more, there’s undoubtedly a lot to chew on here for fans of the show and comics alike. However, this jam-packed episode still found time to close a chapter of Mark and Co.’s journeys, while also opening the door to a new one, or, as Angstrom’s abilities foreshadow, many new chapters. Below, co-showrunner Simon Racioppa outlines the reasoning behind some of the finale’s biggest ...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for the Season 2 finale of “Invincible,” now streaming on Prime Video, plus light spoilers for upcoming storylines in the “Invincible” comic.
Just shy of three years after the Season 1 finale of “Invincible” streamed on Prime Video, the final episode of Season 2 has arrived at long last — and there was just as much bloody, superhero action.
In “I Thought You Were Stronger,” the finale to Season 2 Part 2, Mark/Invincible (Steven Yeun) rushes home after the multiverse-traveling villain Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown) kidnaps his mom Debbie (Sandra Oh) and baby alien half-brother Oliver. At first, it seems like the vengeful villain has the upper hand. Every time Mark flies toward him, Angstrom opens up a portal and strands Mark in a different dimension.
The battle leads to some eye-catching, alternate-universe cameos. In one callback to the original “Invincible” comic, Mark crashes into a web-slinging superhero...

Ezra Miller’s role in Prime Video’s Invincible has seemingly been recast in the wake of the actor’s controversies leading up to the release of The Flash.
In season one of the animated series, Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, voiced District Attorney Sinclair, a genius who attended Upstate University and believes that human weaknesses can be solved by engineering. After being defeated by the Invincible team, he returns in this week’s episode of season two, “I’m Not Going Anywhere.”
This time around, however, it appears the mad scientist is no longer voiced by Miller but instead by Eric Bauza. The actor has more than 350 voice credits, including X-Men ’97, Krapopolis, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Rick & Morty.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Miller’s rep and Prime Video for comment.

Although he has made some memorable on-screen appearances, Ezra Miller’s career seems to be on a downward spiral, as the Hollywood actor has been fired from yet another major project. Namely, when the seventh episode of Amazon’s adaptation of Invincible aired, titled “I’m Not Going Anywhere”, the character of D.A. Sinclair appeared once again, but unlike season one, he was not voiced by Ezra Miller anymore. This came as a sort of surprise for everyone, as it had not been announced that Miller was fired from the series. The character is now voiced by Eric Bauza.
The second part of Invincible‘s second season premiered on March 14, 2024, after a several-month break and no information about Miller being recast had been released; Deadline has contacted Amazon, but no official statement has been released regarding this change in the voice cast of the series.

It appears Ezra Miller was quietly recast as mad scientist D.A. Sinclair in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Invincible.
Miller voiced the character in one episode in the first season of the adult animated series, but when Sinclair appeared in the March 28th episode, the character was voiced by Eric Bauza.
Deadline has reached out to Prime Video for comment.
Miller, embattled star of The Flash and Fantastic Beasts, has been embroiled in multiple scandals. Netflix's shadiest horror franchise is targeting its next set of victims. The slasher series "Fear Street" debuted back in 2021 as three full-length movies set in the fictional but aptly-named town of Shadyside, based on author R.L. Stine's popular "Cheerleaders" sub-trilogy within the "Fear Street" novels. The mega-sized special event was released over the course of three consecutive weeks on the streaming service (check out /Film's spoiler review of the movies here), pulled in a ton of viewers, earned consistently high praise among critics, and served up all sorts of gory kills and supernatural chills -- along with one heck of a memorable kill by a particularly deadly bread slicer. Fans have been clamoring for more sequels ever since and rumors of new movies have swirled since at least 2022, but now we've heard straight from the studio that another release has officially been greenlit.

I hope you haven’t gotten sick of hearing “Yes, chef” yet because there’s another season of The Bear on the way. The third season of the award-winning series is currently shooting in Chicago, but Deadline reports that The Bear has also been renewed for season 4, which will be shot back-to-back with season 3.
Although the renewal isn’t official, it would make sense for FX to want to get another season in the can. The Bears stars Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri are in high demand, with plenty of other projects on their slate. Ebon Moss-Bachrach is also on the rise, especially after it was confirmed that he would be playing Ben Grimm/The Thing in Marvel’s Fantastic Four movie.
Some have wondered if the season 4 renewal might mark the end of The Bear, as something similar happened with Atlanta, which came to an end after the...

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers for Season 2, Episode 5 of “Invincible,” now streaming on Prime Video.
Mark’s time to think is over: “Invincible” Season 2, Part 2 has just premiered.
The episode picked up right where Part 1’s finale left off, with Mark (played by Steven Yeun) left stranded on the planet Thraxa after Omni-Man’s (played by J.K. Simmons) capture by the Viltrumites.
Though the episode didn’t reveal Nolan/Omni-Man’s fate, we did get to see Mark step into his role as an older brother after the last episode’s bombshell revealed what Omni-Man had been up to since flying away from Earth — starting a new family on Thraxa and fathering a new son, Oliver.
Mark has spent the past two months helping to rebuild the planet, and after initial hesitation, decides to take Oliver back to Earth to be raised by him and his mother, Debbie (played by Sandra Oh). Mark,...

As Netflix’s library of films ebbs and flows, finding the right movie to watch can feel like bailing out an ocean with a spoon. And if you’re looking for a quality horror movie in particular, the search only gets harder. With the reality that Horror is one of the cheapest genres to produce, streamers like Netflix are cluttered with a veritable tsunami of bloody titles that sometimes seem indistinguishable from one another.
If you’re looking for a good horror movie to watch on Netflix that will truly scare you, picking a final selection can prove a more daunting task than sitting through yet another “Haunting of Hill House” rewatch; with or without its beloved “Bly Manor” chaser. But while the streamer’s priorities seem to shift as quickly as its content selection grows, Netflix’s horror library remains a high point — with original triumphs, including Guillermo del Toro...

Actor Joel McHale reflected on an altercation he had with his fellow Community co-star Chevy Chase that occurred on the set.
McHale, known for his main character role as Jeff Winger on the TV series, has been candid about disagreements that reportedly transpired between himself and Chase, who played the controversial offensive character Pierce Hawthorne. McHale even dedicated a chapter of his 2016 memoir, Thanks for the Money, to a “step-by-step on how to fight Chevy Chase.”
The topic arose in the podcast conversation when McHale highlighted his willingness to address the conflicts that arose with Chase while they were on the show. When asked about the nature of the incidents, McHale revealed that physical altercations did occur, with instances where one shoved or pushed the other. McHale described the confrontations as “advanced horseplay,” and humorously remarked, “You know, horseplay, and then it always turned into sex. It wasn’t fun.

Six seasons and a movie -- it's finally happening!
A Community movie is apparently in the works, with star Joel McHale stating the film will begin shooting in 2024.
It's been nine years since we last saw our favorite Greendale Human Beings, and we have a lot of questions about the upcoming film. Here's everything we know so far about the Community movie.
Community Movie Release Date
There has been a lot of back and forth about whether a Community movie would ever be made. With the famous "six seasons and a movie" line from the show, fans have long held out hope.
In September 2022, Peacock ordered a Community movie. However, series creator Dan Harmon later expressed concern that the movie wouldn't happen at all despite being "nearly done" with the script.
In January 2023, Joel McHale said the movie would be filming that summer, but production was canceled due to the actor and writer strikes.

After being discussed for around a decade, the Community movie is coming much closer to being a reality, according to star Joel McHale.
In an interview with Deadline today, in support of his Fox sitcom Animal Control, returning for its second season March 6, McHale first pointed to recent comments by co-star Donald Glover in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, confirming that “the script’s done.”
McHale said that while he hasn’t yet read the script himself, he’s more than happy to share some story details. “We go to the center of the earth,” he joked. “It’s like the movie The Core.”
In all seriousness, McHale said, it’s his belief that the Community movie will shoot “this year.” He’ll be “shocked,” he said, if it doesn’t. “But I really do think it’s happening this year, and probably next week. It’s basically working around Donald’s schedule.”
In conversation with Deadline on the Fox lot, McHale also called his Animal Control cast “one of the funniest groups of people I’ve been around” — in contrast to the Community team, who he joked “were just a bunch of hacks.”
While one of his old co-stars, Ken Jeong, appears on Animal Control this season as a dog whisperer, McHale joked that he, too, is “a hack and cannot act or tell jokes,” going on to claim that “he’s not funny, not successful, and I have carried him for years. Everyone thinks I’m joking, but it’s true.”
Of course, in reality, McHale said, Jeong’s episodes were coming in too long because he did “so much funny stuff…He was really way too f***ing funny, and it really pissed me off.”
Created by Dan Harmon, Community ran for 110 episodes across six seasons, between 2009 and 2015, originating on NBC before moving over to the now-defunct Yahoo! Screen for its final run. Watching as McHale’s suspended lawyer befriends a group of eccentrics after being enforced to enroll in community college, the show was not always a ratings juggernaut, though it has maintained a very loyal fan following throughout all these years. Over the course of its run, it also notably won an an Emmy, a Critics’ Choice Television Award, and other accolades.
Peacock officially announced the Community movie back in 2022, enlisting Harmon and Andrew Guest to pen the script. McHale said during a January 2023 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that it was to begin shooting in June of last year, though those plans fell through in a double strike summer.
In addition to McHale, cast members set to return for the movie include Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Jeong, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Glover.

“Community” creator Dan Harmon is inching closer to the finish line for the “movie” portion of his “Six Seasons and a Movie” prophecy.
Following up on former “Community” star Donald Glover’s recent assertion that a script is already in the can, Harmon told Variety that it was almost right. According to Harmon, he’s “almost done” working on the script for the highly-anticipated film, which is set to run on NBCU’s Peacock streaming service.
“I can confirm Donald Glover’s report that I told him the script was done, but I will also say Donald’s sources are so unreliable because the script is always ‘almost done,'” Harmon quipped. “What can I tell you about it — it’s set on the campus of Greendale Community College. What a time to be alive for superhero fans. We have '90s "X-Men" throwbacks to cater to the Millennial demographic, "Deadpool & Wolverine" is already shattering records and is about to become the obsession of every Ryan Reynolds-loving normie you know, and even "Madame Web" came through to deliver the early aughts superhero disaster you never knew you needed.
In the midst of it all is "Invincible," the Prime Video animated series that has quickly become a darker, edgier, and more violent alternative for fans who can't quite get their fix from Marvel or DC on the big screen. Now in its critically acclaimed second season, the show doubled down on the blood and gore in the continued adventures of Mark Grayson. The teen superhero-in-training has had to survive high school, face off against his sociopathic father, and even contend with a multiverse twist, but season 2 has left...

The final half of “Invincible” is nearly here, and Prime Video has released the first trailer for the bloody finale to Season 2.
Season 2 Part 2, which consists of four episodes, begins streaming on Prime Video on March 14 and will release each episode weekly.
Part 1 released back in November and ended on several cliffhangers, with Invincible, aka Mark Grayson, bumping into his father Omni-Man, who tried to kill him in the Season 1 finale, on an alien planet. The tense reunion got even more awkward when Omni-Man revealed he had fathered a child with one of the insectoid alien members. Together, Invincible and Omni-Man barely defeated three Viltrumite attackers, who took Omni-Man back to their base and ordered Invincible to prepare Earth for takeover.
The Season 2 Part 2 trailer teases even more bloody, limb-snapping, intergalactic action. Invincible returns to space and must handle an invasion from the mind-controlling, parasitic aliens seen in the first season.

How does one repay a team of producers for launching its highest grossing film of all time? Give them the key to the studio — literally.
On Monday, “Barbie” producers, LuckyChap’s Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara inked a first-look deal at Warner Bros., which distributed the $1.4 billion-grossing movie. So, to celebrate, Warner Bros. Pictures Group Co-Chairs and CEO Pam Abdy and Michael De Luca decided to resurrect an old tradition, started by WB co-founder Jack Warner.
“Every once in a while, when a significant piece of talent signed a deal with the studio, he presented that company, that talent, with a key to the studio,” De Luca said as he and Abdy raised a toast to the trio. “We are so delighted to have our first key to our studio be given to LuckyChap.”
This historical artifact, De Luca noted, was particularly special, as the LuckyChap team received...

Make your reservations! The Bear season 3 will return for its third season in June, with the show likely continuing its binge-release strategy of all episodes at once rather than week-to-week.
FX chairman John Landgraf announced the news during the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour. However, Landgraf didn’t share an exact release date for The Bear season 3, nor many other details. When asked if he could reveal if the new season would have as many high-profile guest stars as it did last season, Landgraf said, “Unfortunately, I can’t. I was surprised as you were when the Christmas episode came through the door.” The episode Landgraf spoke of was pretty jam-packed with big names, with Jamie Lee Curtis, Gillian Jacobs, John Mulaney, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, and Jon Bernthal all appearing.
Landgrad did discuss the release strategy for the new season, saying that he has “no doubt” it...

“The Bear” will return for its third season on FX on Hulu this June.
FX chairman John Landgraf announced the news during the network’s Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation on Friday, February 9, adding that like the prior seasons, all episodes will be available at once rather than be released week-to-week.
But if you want any more details than that, Landgraf didn’t have them. Asked if there will be more guest stars like in the “Fishes” episode that featured Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Odenkirk, John Mulaney, Gillian Jacobs, Sarah Paulson, and Jon Bernthal, Landgraf said he’ll be waiting to see what creator Christopher Storer comes up with just like everyone else.
“Unfortunately, I can’t. I was surprised as you were when the Christmas episode came through the door,” he said (via Variety).
“The Bear” has dominated the awards season and been one of FX’s biggest recent hits.
