U.K. network Channel 4 has commissioned a new documentary from Curious Films about TV host and author Paula Yates, who died following a heroin overdose at the age of 41 in 2000.
The two-part doc, titled simply “Paula,” will explore the “life and legacy” of the wildchild presenter, whose relationships with Boomtown Rats’ vocalist Bob Geldof and rockstar Michael Hutchence dominated the headlines in the late 1990s. Yates and Geldof’s daughter, model Peaches Geldof, also died of a heroin overdose at the age of 25 in 2014.
The doc promises to “reveal the real Paula Yates behind the tabloid-driven narrative, drawing on an extraordinary set of never-before-heard interviews, the words of some of those who knew her best and a wealth of archive to tell her story in her own words.”

It's hard to believe it's been one year since Peaches Geldof died at the young age of 25. Peaches' sister Fifi Geldof took to social media today to honor the late mother of two on the anniversary of her untimely passing. "A year ago today and I miss you with all of my being," Fifi wrote Tuesday on her private Instagram along with a sweet childhood photo of the sister-sister duo. Fifi, 31, reportedly posted the same photo last month on Mar. 13, the date that Peaches would have turned 26. "Thinking of her on her 26th birthday. Love you, wherever you are," she captioned the throwback photo. Peaches, the daughter of musician Sir Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, was found dead on...

You’ve probably forgotten a lot of things that happened this year already.
Stories such as Robin Wiliams’ tragic suicide, the miraculous Rosetta landing and, naturally, the revealing of the new Star Wars trailer will all be fresh in your memory. Some events, however, will have slipped to the back of your mind, possibly to be rehashed at a pub quiz in 2030 or something.
We’re talking about the slightly less depressing news stories – the one’s that may not have moved the world; shocked and scarred us like the Isis beheadings, or saddened us like Peaches Geldof’s death.
As the year is soon to come to a close, and 2015 draws upon us, it’s time to look back at the little bits of hilarity that bounced around news channels and social media over the past 11 and a bit months. After all, we all need a break...

Peaches Geldof's death is still affecting those closest to her.
More than six months after the model and television personality passed away due to aheroin overdose, Peaches' father is opening up about his personal tragedy.
"She was super bright, too bright. She knew what life was supposed to be and God bless her, she tried very hard to get there and she didn't make it," Sir Bob Geldof told ITV News in a new interview. "I'm not just blaming the newspapers, of course not. You blame yourself. You're the father who's responsible and clearly failed."
At just 25 years old, Peaches was struggling with drug abuse. And although her father admits he "did more than talk about" the situation with his daughter, Bob can't help but think he could have done something more.

Peaches Geldof, the TV host, socialite and former model, most likely died from a heroin overdose, according to a coroner’s report.
Heroin Cited As Cause In Peaches Geldof Death
Geldof’s death at age 25 on April 7 shocked her family and friends, which includes her father, Irish musician Bob Geldof. Initial reports left investigators stumped as to her cause of death. There were no obvious signs of foul play, nor was there any drug paraphernalia found near her body or at the Kent home she shared with her husband, Thomas Cohen, and two sons.
Weeks after Geldof’s autopsy report came back inconclusive, a toxicology report revealed that she had taken heroin shortly before her death, leading investigators to believe that the drug contributed to her death, reported the BBC.
"Recent use of heroin and the levels identified were likely to have played a role in her death,” according to Detective Paul Fotheringham.

Peaches Geldof's cause of death is being reported as a heroin overdose. An inquest to determine the facts of her passing went underway this week after an initial autopsy was inconclusive. Peaches, the daughter of Bob Geldof, died at the age of 25 on April 7 after police were called to her address in Kent, England, over a reported "concern for the welfare of a young woman." Peaches was later pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the death was called "unexplained and sudden." Her father released a statement shortly after the news broke: "We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.
