The heartfelt tribute to Len Goodman on Dancing With the Stars this week would not have been the same without the return of Og dance pros. After the live episode aired, Louis van Amstel, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, and Anna Trebunskaya chatted with TV Insider about their emotional visit to the ballroom, honoring Goodman, changes to the show, and whether or not they’re up for coming back for more appearances. There were quite a few contemporary dances performed on “Most Memorable Year” week. While those dances served as a stark contrast to the traditional Waltz that was performed for Goodman, that wasn’t the only reason there were so many of them. “When it comes to ‘Most Memorable Year,’ doing contemporary allows you to express more,” pointed out Dovolani. “The show balanced out those dances with all of us coming back and doing a classic dance to honor Len.

“Len was just charming, and that’s how I remember him even at 12-years-old,” said ballroom dancer, six-time Mirror Ball champion and now “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough on “Most Memorable Year Night.” He was reminiscing about Len Goodman, who had judged “DWTS” since its very first season in 2005. But he decided to retire from the show at the end of the 2022 season, and then he passed away in April 2023. The show paid tribute to the late, great Goodman with a special group dance. Watch the entire segment above.
“He’s been in my life since the very beginning,” remembered Mark Ballas. Indeed, for many “DWTS” pros Goodman’s influence began well before the dance competition series first came on the air almost two decades ago. “He was very well respected within the ballroom community,” explained Kim Johnson-Herjavek. Ballas added, “He was a big-time judge when we were all starting to compete.

They danced alongside the pros competing on Dancing With the Stars Season 32 with a beautiful tribute for the former head judge.
Goodman brought years of experience to both DWTS and its British iteration, Strictly Come Dancing, and appeared on both shows since their inception.
The emotional footage kicked off with a pre-recorded package featuring the pros speaking about their memories of Goodman.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Dancing with the Stars] The 10 couples left on Dancing with the Stars took a dance down memory lane for Monday’s “Most Memorable Year” show. Outside the competition, DWTS formally paid tribute to Len Goodman with a special waltz choreographed by Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy to the sounds of Henry Mancini’s “Moon River.” Current pros, as well as Derek and Julianne Hough, joined returning faces to honor the late lead judge. It’s been six months beloved judge Len Goodman passed, but Dancing with the Stars isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
Though Tuesday’s theme was Most Memorable Year, the Week 5 episode was really meant to honor Goodman, who died from prostate cancer in April at the age of 78. After airing a sentimental package featuring past pros talking about what an honor it was to be both complimented and criticized by Goodman, the episode then featured a dance tribute to “Moon River” that was waltzed to perfection by current pros and past faves Kym Johnson, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Edyta Sliwinska, Tony Dovolani, Louis van Amstel, Maks Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas.
It ended with the troupe gesturing to an empty middle chair on the judges’ dais. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli wept.

Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke received the first perfect score of the season on “Dancing with the Stars” for their sizzling samba. Is he the favorite to win now? Hard to say. There’s still lots of weeks of dancing left, and there are a bunch of formidable contenders, like DeMarcus Ware, Tinashe and Milo Manheim. Plus, getting the first perfect score of the season isn’t a ticket to the Mirrorball trophy.
In the last 26 seasons, only 11 couples who earned the first perfect score of the season — a 30 or a 40, depending on the judging panel — went on to win the whole show. Five of them ended up in second place, and there were a few shocking eliminations in there, specifically Sabrina Bryan, who nabbed the first 30 twice, in Season 5 and the all-stars outing, only to be eliminated early — and five years to the day exactly.

“Dancing with the Stars” has had nine athlete runners-up and will add a 10th after this all-athletes season. Of those first nine, 34 percent of our readers voted in a recent poll that Shawn Johnson should’ve definitely won Season 15 with Derek Hough.
Johnson and Hough came in second to Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani on the all-stars season. The Olympic gymnast won Season 8 with Mark Ballas and was seeking to becoming the first celebrity to win two Mirroball trophies. Both couples received high marks throughout the season, but perhaps Johnson’s previous win (as well as Hough’s three wins) hurt them in the fan votes.
Twenty-five percent of our readers feel that James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess were robbed of a win on Season 23. The IndyCar driver lost to Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy, who dominated the season.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ has seen 10 athletes lift the Mirrorball trophy and almost nearly as many athletes came thisclose to getting their hands on it. Nine athletes have finished in second place on the show — some of them even losing to fellow athletes. Some of these losses were expected, some were close calls, but which of these runners-up deserved the win the most?
Jerry Rice was the first athlete runner-up. The three-time Super Bowl champ and Anna Trebunskaya lost to Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke in Season 2. Rice and Trebunskaya had the third lowest score of the final three on finale night, but beat third-place finishers Stacy Keibler and Tony Dovolani with fan votes added in.

Will there be a “Dancing with the Stars” alliance versus a “Celebrity Apprentice” alliance on “Celebrity Big Brother”? Of the 11 houseguests entering the “Celebrity Big Brother” house, nine of them have either been on “Dancing with the Stars” or “Celebrity Apprentice.” Which begs the question: Why is CBS taking ABC’s and NBC’s sloppy seconds? Did CBS over-correct in not wanting to pluck from its own reality shows? Or is Julie Chen just a huge “Dancing” and “Apprentice” fan?
The two non-“Dancing” and “Apprentice” alums are Miss Colombia 2014 Ariadna Gutierrez and E! personality Ross Mathews, who appeared on “Celebrity Fit Club” 10 years ago. Kristen Bell is a total pro at hosting late-night television. On Thursday, the actress subbed in for Jimmy Kimmel, who stayed at home to be with his newborn son Billy. After delivering a hilarious opening monologue, the mom of two also helped one lucky high school student pull off an incredible Frozen-themed promposal. During a fake game of "The Fast and the Frozenest," one girl in the audience got a huge surprise when the masked Kristoff she was tasked with finding was actually one of her high school classmates. While the performance -- which was based on Belle's iconic ballroom dance with the eponymous Beast -- was majestic, many of the judges felt Jennings' footwork and timing could have used improvement, and they ended up with a score of 32 out of 40, one...

After being sidelined for four weeks, Maksim Chmerkovskiy is returning to Dancing With the Stars to dance alongside Heather Morris.
Since Chemerkovskiy suffered a calf injury near the beginning of the season, Morris has been paired up with DWTS troupe member Alan Bersten, and the pair have been knocking their routines out of the park.
While he hasn't been able to dance, Chemerkovskiy has remained closely involved, working with Morris and Bersten during rehearsals and choreographing many of their numbers -- including this week's Frozen-themed jazz routine for DWTS' Disney Week.
Watch: Maksim Chmerkovskiy Is Walking and 'Almost' Dancing Again in Latest Update on Calf Injury
Following their dance, Morris and Bernsten went backstage to talk with co-host Erin Andrews, and they were joined by Chmerkovskiy, who had nothing but praise for their performance.
"I thought that Heather did an amazing performance," he marveled. "I was looking forward to this [dance] the whole weekend and [Bersten] didn't let me...

The Kardashians have babies on the brain.
On Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 13 Episode 4, Rob is mentally preparing for fatherhood, Kim has surgery to try and prepare her uterus to carry another child and Khloe gives birth to a different kind of baby... her new denim line.
Khloe is asking Rob about his hospital plans because Chyna is about to give birth. It's weird because their baby special aired back in December a few months after Chyna gave birth, so none of this seems relevant anymore.
Between her ass, her belly and your belly... I can't handle it.

With all of the drama, I'm surprised they didn't cut Chyna and all things related to her out of the show. After a whole season of Rob and Chyna and endless tabloid headlines, I didn't...
