Originally slated for release April of 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, director Brad Leo Lyon’s (Little Creeps/Monsters on Main Street) latest film Thursday the 12th – a horror comedy in the realm of Evil Dead meets Mallrats with a touch of Tucker and Dale Versus Evil – is finally getting ready for a new theatrical roadshow, touring the country doing advanced theatrical screenings of the film followed by a Q & A in cities across the US, starting in June.
Starring such familiar faces as Todd Bridges (Different Strokes), Jena Sims (Kill the Messenger), Brian Sutherland (Z Nation), and Marilyn Ghigliotti (Clerks), Thursday the 12th follows two failed film school graduates closing in on their 30’s, the fearful Seth Franco and the unreliable James Rogen, who are stuck working the same jobs they had in high school. Brad Leo Lyon sent us an update on Little Creeps, his loony low budget chiller starring the likes of b-movie icon Joe Estevez, Maniac Cop Robert Z’Dar, pro wrestler Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and “Saved by the Bell” alumni Dustin Diamond and Lark Voorhies.
The film is done, festival screenings are being lined up, and a few new stills have creeped our way.
Below you’ll see a trio of new stills from Little Creeps of Robert Z’Dar as “Professor Cordell” (wink, wink), Jake “The Snake” in the ring, and ... Umm ... Not really sure. Photo wasn’t really labeled and I don’t recognize who ... Well, this is awkward ... wait! That's Kyle Colton and director and co-star Brad Leo Lyon.

As a fan of Robert Z’Dar, I almost feel a weird obligation to post the trailer for his upcoming horror/comedy “Little Creeps” despite the fact that I tend to avoid most motion pictures featuring Dustin Diamond like the plague. However, although my dislike for the guy is often overpowering, I’ve discovered that director Brad Leo Lyon’s upcoming project also featuring the always-adorable Lark Vorhees, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and B-movie veteran Joe Estevez. Does the movie look good, you ask? I’m not entirely sure. However, it does look entertaining, and that’s all you can ask for when you’re dealing with a Robert Z’Dar flick. The guy is a legend. Enjoy this plot synopsis: Long considered a mockery with his fellow professors Cordell (Robert Z’Dar) & Donnely (Dustin Diamond), professor Vern Drake (Joe Estevez) becomes obsessed with finding the Demonicron, a book said...

Michigan indie filmmaker Brad Leo Lyon sent over a press release regarding the status of Little Creeps, his low budget horror comedy with a cast more impressive than the current season of Dr. Drew’s “Celebrity Rehab”. I’ll pass it along to you since it tells the tale better than I can.

Brad Leo Lyon Brad Leo Lyon is an emerging new talent in the independent horror field. He's a triple threat as he writes, directs and stars in his own horror films. And his speciality is the horror comedy sub-genre, probably the most difficult sub-genre to tackle as you have to have not only an understanding of horror, but of comedy and then being able to incorporate the two into a narrative that is cohesive and seamless. So many horror filmmakers have failed in the past attempting to do just that. But, Brad Leo Lyon takes it even further by incorporating elements of nostalgia and whimsy into his films while keeping it modern. Can Brad Leo Lyon, the mastermind behind such efforts as Beach Vacancy, College Fright Night and the upcoming Little Creeps, pull it all off? We don't know yet, but we'll be keeping an eye out on him. And at the very least,...

Beach Vacancy Written, produced, directed, and co-starring Brad Leo Lyon and also starring Jon Alderman (All's Faire In Love / Minor League), Beach Vacancy is a horror / comedy that tells the story of five college kids who veer of course on their way to Tiki Beach. Instead, they find themselves directed to the Sandpiper Motel, a potentially haunted resort right on the water.
Beach Vacancy promises to deliver on the charm of the fondly remembered Saturday the 14th while featuring some side splitting, belly laughs in the vein of such teen sex comedies as Spring Break or Fraternity Vacation. Beach Vacancy even features a dash of Scooby Doo as the film's protagonist stumble upon a mystery and find themselves having to solve it.
