Rotoscope animation is a rare technique on television, and a rare one to see used as well as it is in Prime Video’s “Undone.”
Created by Kate Purdy and Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the series is shot in live-action on green screen soundstages, with the footage animated by the companies Submarine and Minnow Mountain. The result is a formally inventive series that uses dreamlike, hazy animated imagery to tell the slippery story of Alma (Rosa Salazar) as she confronts her memories of her father’s death by leaping through time to prevent it.
For the show’s recent second season, the animation of “Undone” gets even more ambitious, as the narrative sees Alma and her sister Becca (Angelique Cabral) travel into the memories and traumatic pasts of their father Jacob (Bob Odenkirk), mother Camila (Constance Marie) and eventually their grandmother Geraldine (Holley Fain). The further they travel through time, the more the animation distorts reality,...

Missi Pyle (Impulse) and Holley Fain (The Frontier) are set to recur opposite Amanda Peet and Christian Slater in Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story, the second installment of the anthology series which will air on USA Network.
Like the first installment, which aired on Bravo and starred Connie Britton and Eric Bana, the second will be based on a true crime story featuring an epic tale of love gone wrong. In Season 2, it is the story of convicted murderer Betty Broderick (Peet) and her ex-husband (Slater) that spans the 1960s to the ’80s and chronicles the breakdown of their marriage that Oprah deemed one of “America’s messiest divorces” even before it ended in double homicide.
From creator-writer Alexandra Cunningham and Ucp, Season 2 stars Peet as Betty Broderick, the perfect Southern California blonde wife and mother. Married to her handsome college boyfriend Dan (Slater), Betty charms everyone she meets.

It seems Captain Homer Jackson will be returning to Ripper Street for its fourth and fifth series after all.
Adam Rothenberg - who plays Jackson on the period thriller - looked set to miss out on the new episodes after his ABC pilot Wicked City was picked up to series.
However, Rothenberg has now dropped out of Wicked City and his part - cop Jack Roth - will be recast, according to Deadline.

And finally ABC is in the game! The only network not to pick up a new series (and still the only network not to formally renew a single old series) jumped into the pre-upfronts excitement in a major way on Thursday afternoon, picking up six new dramas, several of which sound rather ambitious. Before going into depth, the basics: On Thursday (May 7) afternoon, ABC ordered the Biblical epic "Of Kings and Prophets" and the Shonda Rhimes-produced "The Catch," as well as "Wicked City" (formerly "L.A. Crime"), "The Family" (formerly Untitled Jenna Bans), "Quantico" and the Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project (formerly "Boom"). ABC no doubt has plenty more new series pickups to do ahead of the network's Tuesday, May 12 upfront presentation. Let's get to the details, because some of these new shows sound pretty interesting actually... *** "Of Kings and Prophets" comes from creators Adam Cooper & Bill Collage and it is...

Thursday night, The Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of playwright Mary Chase’s 1944 Pulitzer prize winning play "Harvey" opened to an array of reviews, most of them less than flattering. As some may remember, "Harvey" beat Tennessee Williams’ "The Glass Menagerie" to a Pulitzer prize in 1945, a fact that still baffles today, and which the revival doesn't make up for. Roundabout’s "Harvey" stars “The Big Bang Theory” nerd Jim Parsons, who follows in the footsteps of the ineffable Jimmy Stewart, quite large shoes to fill might I add. Parsons stars as Elwood P. Dowd, an amicable alcoholic who claims to be friends with a "pooka," taking the form of a tall, imaginary rabbit whom Elwood calls Harvey. Elwood’s sister, Veta Louise (played by the oddly cast Jessica Hecht), tries to commit Elwood to a sanitarium, but a comedy of errors ensues, changing the family for the better.

She’ll pop on over in a very big way.
Fain will act as a recurring love interest for Eric Dane’s Mark Sloan, who, as fans know, is totally on the rebound. Her first appearance is scheduled for this November in the sweeps time period. She’ll act as an ophthalmologist who works at another Seattle-based hospital. Her boss there will be acted by Ernie Hudson. TV Line got the exclusive.
So, are you ready for some romance? What do you think of this season? Does the series still hit the spot?...

Fans of Mark and Lexie may want to be sitting down before reading this.
Holley Fain, who once guest starred on Gossip Girl as the manipulative wife of Nate's cousin Trip, is coming to Grey's Anatomy this season - and she'll be romancing Mark Sloan.
She'll be a "recurring love interest" for McSteamy, according to TV Line.
Fain’s character, who debuts in mid-November, works as an ophthalmologist at another Seattle-area hospital. Her boss there will be played by Ernie Hudson of Ghostbusters fame.
She should certainly shake things up at Sgmwh. In addition to Gossip Girl, Fain's credits also include stints on The Good Wife, Memphis Beat and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Are you excited Mark is potentially getting a girlfriend? Tell us in the comments below.

We've already posted a promo and photos for the November 30th new episode of Gossip Girl, where Serena and Trip's flirtations lead to a very messy Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks theCW, we have two sneak peeks to share with you.
If you want to see more sneak peeks, check out E!Online (the first two videos are identical to ours, but the last two are new).
Thanksgiving On The Upper East Side — It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving on the Upper East Side if there wasn’t a serving or two of some major drama for the holiday. Blair (Leighton Meester) suspects her mom (guest star Margaret Colin) has been keeping a big secret from her, but it turns out to be something else entirely. Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) is supposed to spend Thanksgiving with her parents, but has a fight with her mom (guest star Gina Torres) and shows up on Dan’s (Penn Badgley) doorstep.

November 30th marks the Thanksgiving episode of Gossip Girl and we see Serena is digging herself into a nice little grave with Trip that can't possibly end well. TheCW has released a promo (no sneak peeks yet, sorry!), which you can view also. Also, check out the promo photos I posted a few days ago.

It's the annual Thanksgiving episode on Gossip Girl on November 30th. Everyone's put in awkward family situations (because what's a holiday with a family squabble?). TheCW has released promo photos and a synopsis for the episode.

According to Michael Ausiello over at EW, CW's "Gossip Girl" is bringing back Aaron Tveit who plays Nate Archibald's (Chace Crawford) wealthy cousin, Tripp Vanderbilt, and he'll be in at least six episodes, starting in November. Tripp Vanderbilt will be announcing that he's running for office, and Nate will get involved in his campaign. A Gossip Girl insider confirms to me exclusively that Broadway vet Aaron Tveit is reprising his role as Nate's wealthy cousin, Tripp Vanderbilt, this November for at least six episodes. Idle Gossip says the politically minded Tripp will announce that he's running for office (possibly the senate) and Nate will get involved with his campaign. I'm told Holley Fain, who played Tripp's fiancée, will also be returning for multiple episodes. Tveit will juggle his Gossip arc with his current gig on Broadway in Next to Normal. In other Gg casting news, Sarah Steele (Spanglish) has been cast in the potentially recurring role of Kira Abernathy,...
