There weren't big ratings for ABC Family's Huge series so the cable channel has cancelled it after just 10 episodes.
Huge follows a group of seven teenagers who are sent to weight-loss camp with diverse results. The cast includes Nikki Blonsky, Hayley Hasselhoff, Raven Goodwin, Ari Stidham, Ashley Holliday, Harvey Guillen, Stefan Van Ray, Jacob Wysocki, Molly Tarlov, Gina Torres, Zander Eckhouse, Zoe Jarman, and Paul Dooley.
The show debuted to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic last June with 2.53 million viewers. ABC Family bragged that it was their biggest series launch to date among women 18-49 and second largest in adults 18-49 and women 18-34.
Unfortunately, the numbers started to fall in week two and slowly kept dropping off. By week eight, Huge hit a series low with a 0.5 rating in the demo and 1.34 million...

Turns out that being the son of a 90210 star doesn't necessarily mean you believe acting is your calling -- just ask Zander Eckhouse (the son of Walsh paterfamilias James Eckhouse), who only recently discovered he loved the work. Ahead of his ABC Family series Huge's first season finale, Eckhouse talked to Movieline about his studly "fat camp" counselor George, working with Jeremy Piven on a new movie, and the incredible statue he helped David Hasselhoff put in his study.

Getting your heart broken is no fun, but it may just be what Huge (TV) 's Amber needed. Last week, Camp Victory's resident pretty girl — though she doesn't think so herself — was dumped by hunky counselor George (Zander Eckhouse) barely two trysts into their secret relationship. She ended the episode in tears — a good wake-up call, says Hayley Hasselhoff, who plays Amber.

Hayley Hasselhoff has claimed that her Huge character Amber will learn from her recent romance. Amber's secret relationship with camp counsellor George (Zander Eckhouse) ended in the last episode but Hasselhoff explained that it might be for the best. "[Amber] came to camp to lose weight and I think now she realises she got off-track because she focused all her time and energy on this boy that she shouldn't really be with," Hasselhoff told TV Guide. "Her whole fling with George brings her to a place where she figures out a whole different side to herself. She was secretive and a little insecure about it, but now she knows she needs to be true to herself and not let him dictate her life." However, Hasselhoff hinted that the relationship may not be over, saying: "There are (more)...

Sasha Grey's performance in Steven Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience isn't anything spectacular, but for her first go-around in a film not in the adult entertainment industry, it's quite impressive. Apparently director Mark Pellington thought so too because Grey has been cast in his next film, the low-budget drama I Melt With You.
The script, penned by Pellington and Glen Porter, focuses on three college buddies played by Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven. They get together every year for a summer reunion, but this year is different. This year the guys are feeling a little empty inside. According to THR, that's when they decide to "resurrect a pact they vowed to live, die and kill by." It's a bit of a rarity that an adult film actress would successfully start to make herself legit in the some what cleaner mainstream movie world. Luckily that's the case for Sasha Grey. She's made that rough transition into the mainstream, starring last year in Steven Soderbergh's "The Girlfriend Experience". Now she could be continuing her streak with a role in the Mark Pellington drama "I Melt With You"."Melt With You", written by newcomer Glenn Porter, revolves around three college friends who meet up at their summer reunion. The three of them then resurrect a pact that they promised to live, die and kill by. Grey will be taking on the role of the free-spirited girl named Raven who convinces the men that they'll only be happy through death.Principal photography commences next month in Northern California. However, Grey isn't the only new addition to the cast of...

We seem to be hearing more and more on adult film star Sasha Grey’s efforts to move into the mainstream – first it was her role in Steven Sodebergh’s The Girlfriend Experience, then the Herschell Gordon Lewis tribute Smash Cut, and more recently her appearance in season seven of Entourage and her role as a bible-bashing virgin in Richard Sullivan’s horror flick Hallows. Now comes news of the actress joining another mainstream drama…
THR are reporting that Grey is in negotiations to join the cast of I Melt With You, a low-budget movie being directed by Mark Pellington (Cold Case, Henry Poole Is Here). Grey, along with Zander Eckhouse, Abhi Sinha and Arielle Kebbel, are joining the already cast Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven in the drama, which Pellington wrote with Glen Porter.

Sasha Grey is most prominently known for her roles in various adult films, but after headlining Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience, it seems she’s caught the Hollywood acting bug, as she’s currently in advanced talks to star in I Melt With You, an indie drama ready to role with Mark Pellington at the helm.
If she secures the role, Grey will play “a character named Raven, described as a free spirit who helps one of the men realize that nirvana can only be achieved by death.” She will star alongside Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe, Zander Eckhouse, Abhi Sinha and Arielle Kebbel and Jeremy Piven.
Synopsis: I Melt With You centres on a group of college buddies (Jane, Lowe and Piven) who, now as adults, look within themselves and find emptiness when they have their annual summer reunion. They resurrect a pact they vowed to live, die and kill by.

The porn star who launched a thousand (Ok, so a few dozen) debates about her dramatic acting capabilities is coming back for more: Sasha Grey is in talks for the dark thriller I Melt With You, in which she'd play "a free spirit who helps one of the men realize that nirvana can only be achieved by death." I'm not sure if there have been cross overs from porn to mainstream cinema, but it appears that for one actress in particular, working in both worlds might be a valid option. Catherine Breillat had Rocco, and now, both Steven Soderbergh and Mark Pellington will have employed the services of Sasha Gray, the adult film star with some gnarly film titles in her filmography. So the The Girlfriend Experience will not have been a "token" experience after all. THR reports that Gray, along with Zander Eckhouse, Abhi Sinha and Arielle Kebbel (The Uninvited), will act alongside Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe, Jeremy Piven (and Christian McKay according to The Playlist) in a pic I liken to Mike Figgis' experimental work. Last week, The Playlist gave a fairly hands on explanation of what the director of Arlington Road and Henry Poole Is Here will attempt to do with the project. I Melt With You...

Zander Eckhouse has revealed details of his upcoming romantic storyline on Huge. Eckhouse told TV Guide that his character George, a counsellor at the weight-loss camp, will struggle to deal with his feelings for Amber (Hayley Hasselhoff). "You have to walk that fine line," he said. "Can you? Can you? It's definitely tough." He added: "There's major tension between them. You can feel it. George is definitely taken by Amber, but because he's so young and new, he's trying to find the balance between being a friend, an authority figure, a mentor, and maybe being more than friends with some of them." Eckhouse suggested that the pair could eventually get together, saying: "Will it be resolved?... I think, (more)...

Is there anything as sweet as your first crush on an authority figure?
In "Huge," which airs its second episode tonight, Hayley Hasselhoff's character Amber has some serious chemistry with her hot camp counselor, George, played by Zander Eckhouse.
Will he buck the system and give in to his obvious feelings for Amber? Fingers crossed!
Amber isn't the only one having some boy issues. Nikki Blonsky's character, Will, has a thing for Ian, a fellow camper... but is shocked when she learns that some of the campers think she's a lesbian. "She's shocked, and she asks her friend, you know, 'Do you think I'm gay?' It's a really difficult situation for her," Blonsky told Zap2it last week.
Get ready to meet a new camper, Danielle, who comes into the cabin to replace the camper sent home last week. Danielle is... interesting. Her first words upon arriving...

ABC Family is rapidly becoming the home of some of our favorite shows. "Pretty Little Liars" is the hottest thing we've seen all summer, and "Huge," about teenagers at a weight-loss camp, debuts tonight, June 27. We've already checked out the premiere, and this is one you won't want to miss.
The star of the show, Nikki Blonsky -- yes, the lucky girl who got to hook up with Zac Efron in "Hairspray" -- stopped by the Ktla News Desk on June 24 to talk about her character. Zap2it caught up with her in the green room after her appearance.
After chatting with Blonsky, we're even more convinced that "Huge" is a can't-miss summer show. Here's why!
1. No other cast on television looks like this one. With a few rare exceptions, "Huge" is the first show with an entirely plus-size cast. "Most of America is plus-sized," Blonsky tells us. "I really...
